In the middle of the night, Song Chi only finished work now and thanked the crew before getting into the car to return to Shanghai.
As soon as he got in the car, he called Zhou Yun.
Luckily, Zhou Yun had been unconscious for a whole day and couldn’t sleep at all at this ti; she was reading a book.
Zhou Yun answered the phone with surprise and asked, "Why are you calling so late?"
"Sister Lan said you woke up; I just got off work, so I wanted to ask how you are doing," Song Chi said. "Look at this, what did I say? Usually, you should accumulate so good deeds. You speak so venomously, and now karma hits, right?"
"Now I am a genuine patient, do people talk to patients like this? Can you say sothing nice?"
Song Chi curved his lips and chuckled.

"Why are you still awake so late? I was just making a call to try my luck, didn’t expect you to pick up." Song Chi, looking at the swiftly passing night scene outside the window, with the fleeting lights reflecting in his eyes, said with a smile, "Is it because you missed so much that you couldn’t sleep?"
"Damn, Song Chi, where do you get your confidence from? Can you be any more shaless?" Zhou Yun directly let loose, "Ugh."

"There’s a variety show inviting both of us to record, are you in?" asked Song Chi.

"Your Sister Lan is on her way to talk to the producer." said Song Chi, "The show approached first; I was going to refuse initially, but they’re quite sincere. The key point is that their variety show operates on a docuntary mode, which won’t affect our normal work, mainly docunting so of our daily life."
"Daily life? What’s so interesting about that variety show? Will people watch it?" Zhou Yun expressed skepticism upon hearing the introduction.
Song Chi laughed twice and said, "Guess what this variety show is called."
"What? ’The Fairy and Her Bootlicker’?"
Song Chi: "Ugh."
"Rebound."
"Rebound nullified."
Zhou Yun: "Are you being childish?"
"Childish is the person who still fantasizes about being a fairy at your age, right?"
"Twenty-sothing is the pri age for a fairy." Zhou Yun said with a cold snicker.
"Ugh!"
"...Can you talk about serious matters?"
Zhou Yun thought, Song Chi really had no patience, wouldn’t budge an inch.
"The variety show is called ’After the Scandal’," Song Chi said, "Their program planning is brilliant; I have to admit, it’s a mutually beneficial show. They can use our popularity to draw attention, and we can use the program to clarify our rumors."
"Co on, a man and a woman getting on a show called ’After the Scandal’, you call that clearing up rumors?"
Zhou Yun felt it was unreliable.
Song Chi said, "We don’t need to set aside specific ti for it anyway, plus we can make money and gain exposure, killing several birds with one stone. Are you not pleased? I’m telling you, Sister Lan is quite happy with it."
"You’re not short of that money, right?"
"I need it, okay? I can easily earn that money and use it to do so good. Why not?"

Song Chi started laughing and said, "To help my female co-star maintain her popularity. I need to reassure the investors for this project, right?"
"Investors? Isn’t the main investnt in this movie from your company and Yuehai?"
"Director Kang is coming to direct, and the cost will rise further; I can only keep looking for more investnts."
"Don’t give that. You’ve planned from the start to bring in Director Kang, I don’t believe you only thought about insufficient funds now."
"You think attracting investnts is easy?"

"You really are out of touch with the world."
"I told you I’m a fairy," Zhou Yun’s tone beca pretentiously delicate.
"Sorry, I have to hang up; I’m going to throw up," Song Chi hung up the phone abruptly.
Zhou Yun looked at the phone that had cut off the call in disbelief and gasped in shock.

Hangs up just like that?!
After getting angry, Zhou Yun rembered the investnt issue that Song Chi ntioned. Was it really a shortage of money?
Suddenly, she rembered sothing. She didn’t even know how much she was paid for her role in "Heart Inquiry".
However, upon reflection, at the ti she took on the project, it was during her peak in popularity. To get the company to agree to let her take the role, the asking price must’ve been high.
The preparation for a movie, Zhou Yun didn’t quite understand.
She had only acted in one movie herself and wasn’t quite clear on the matters concerning actors.
While musing over these random thoughts, Zhou Yun drifted to sleep without realizing it, and the next morning she was woken up by Zheng Xiaojue to go for multiple checks. After another round of tests confirming a mild concussion, she was smoothly discharged and returned to her apartnt.
As soon as she arrived at the apartnt, Zhou Yun heard her phone ringing. It was He Yong calling.
Zhou Yun curled up the corners of her mouth, letting out a light chuckle.
She waited a while as the phone rang before answering, "President He, what brings you to call ?"
He Yong laughingly said, "I went to the hospital to see you, but I didn’t expect you had already been discharged. I could only call to comfort you. With all the fuss, are you feeling unwell? If you’re not well, let’s rest for a few more days."
Zhou Yun said, "How dare I rest?"
"Look at you talking, if you rest for a few days, who would dare to comnt?"
"President He, I’m not afraid of what others say, I’m worried that if I don’t work hard now, while I can still make money, I’ll be completely replaced when my popularity fades."
"How could that be! Don’t even think like that."
"How could that be? President He, do you think I’m that insignificant in your eyes?" Zhou Yun’s tone shifted, a hint of anger in her voice.
