Since Wei Chang’an said he would handle things here, Chen Chuan didn’t linger and rode his bike away.

But he didn’t know that shortly after he left, a beautiful, illusory doll was climbing the wall inside that old well. As the moonlight reappeared from behind the clouds, the doll vanished.

On his way back, Chen Chuan stuck to the side roads. Even so, he could still hear modified cars roaring down the main streets from ti to ti, occasionally accompanied by the sounds of dragging chains and smashing bottles.

Night was when gang mbers were most active, and he had no desire to run into them if he could help it. Especially after learning that so urban legends were real, he was extra cautious, avoiding secluded alleys as much as possible.

After riding for over an Hour, he arrived at the city center plaza. There, he dialed a phone number noted in the case file.

The call connected, but the other end was silent. Following the instructions in the file, he said, "The item has been captured."

A deep, emotionless voice ca from the other end. "Location."

Chen Chuan said, "City center plaza, across from the Du Yi Grand Hotel."

"Wait there. A vehicle is on its way."

After hanging up, Chen Chuan waited by the roadside. Just a mont later, he saw a vehicle turn the corner at the other end of the avenue, its two headlights shining brightly. It was a cargo van, and as it drew closer, he could see the logo of a blooming Molan flower on its side.

’Is that... Molan Company?’

Chen Chuan was lost in thought.

The van pulled to a stop right in front of Chen Chuan. The doors opened, and two people in Molan Company uniforms stepped out.

Chen Chuan stood up and walked over with the bag. One of them took it, loosened the drawstring to look inside, and nodded. "The goods match."

The other person took the form Chen Chuan handed over, signed it, stamped it with a seal, and then handed it back.

After taking it back, Chen Chuan watched the two of them carry the bag to the rear of the van. When they opened the back doors, a blast of cold air drifted out.

After stowing the item, the two n returned to the front, got in the van, and quickly drove away, never giving Chen Chuan another glance.

Chen Chuan put away the form and checked his Second Self behind him. He found that the faint, persistent sign of dematerialization was still there; it hadn’t disappeared just because he’d gotten rid of the Well Doll.

However, the damage was extrely faint, so he didn’t worry too much about it and headed straight back to Wuyi Academy.

At this ti of night, security guards were still patrolling outside Wuyi Academy. He showed his A-class student Na Card as he approached and was imdiately let through.

Back in his dormitory, he first used the public phone to call Cheng Zitong. "Teacher, I’m back. Everything went smoothly. I handed the item over to the client using the number in the file."

Cheng Zitong asked, "How did it feel?"

Chen Chuan said, "Well, it was novel, encountering sothing like that for the first ti. Teacher, what exactly was it?"

Cheng Zitong replied, "There are so theories, but even I can’t say for sure. If you want an answer, you’ll have to find it yourself. Very few people take on commissions related to urban legends because they are always extrely dangerous. It’s best not to engage with so of these things until you know how to deal with them."

"The one I gave you today was based on the accumulated findings of our predecessors and has a proven solution, which is why it was relatively easy. In reality, an imnse amount of ti and resources were spent to figure these things out, and many people avoid them like the plague. With that kind of effort, they’d rather take on other commissions."

Chen Chuan could understand that. These commissions were highly dangerous and full of unknowns, and the pay wasn’t necessarily much better than other jobs. So why bother?

Cheng Zitong continued, "But if you can specialize in these types of commissions, more and more of them will be assigned to you. The more you encounter, the more you’ll understand. When others can’t do it, but you can, you beco the expert. When a problem arises, you’ll be the first person they think of."

"Anyone can be found to replace soone for an ordinary commission, but for this type, there’s no substitute. They’ll have no choice but to co to you. Your evaluation will be in a class of its own."

Chen Chuan said, "Teacher, I don’t really care about a high evaluation. I’m just genuinely interested in these kinds of things."

Cheng Zitong laughed. "Exactly. Who cares what it is? If we’re interested, we do it. Because we want to. Nothing can hold us back. That’s how we of the Intuition School should be."

Chen Chuan said, "Teacher, you once said not to be constrained by labels. Isn’t identifying myself as part of the Intuition School also a constraint?"

Cheng Zitong was taken aback for a mont, then chuckled. "You brat. Are you questioning your teacher? Picking a fight with ?"

"Speaking my mind bluntly is also a trait of the Intuition School, isn’t it?"

"Haha, you kid. You’ve got an answer for everything."

Cheng Zitong was very happy. No other student had ever been so in sync with him. ’It’s just a sha...’

He sighed inwardly but then lifted his spirits. "Based on past experience, you shouldn’t do these commissions back-to-back. There can be an indescribable negative effect. Rest for a few days. You can also use this ti to monitor the growth of your Mutated Organization and see if we need to arrange the next level of training."

"Okay, Teacher," Chen Chuan said. "By the way, I ran into sothing else today that might have future implications." He then recounted his unexpected eting with Tong Qianjiang and the possibility of getting involved in that commission.

After listening, Cheng Zitong said, "Ah, that matter. I’ve heard about it."

He thought for a mont. "I think that since you’re already involved, you should actively participate. Don’t give up this opportunity. This matter should be linked to the Administrative Affairs Hall, and it could significantly boost your commission evaluation. Plus, it might have so extra benefits for you. It’s too early to say for sure, but rember..."

His tone grew serious. "You need to watch out for your own safety. That crew has been in hiding for this long; they’re not to be underestimated."

Chen Chuan said, "I’ll be careful, Teacher."

After the call, since it was already late, he took a quick shower and went to bed.

The next morning, after finishing his early workout, he returned to find both Feng Xiaochi and Luo Kaiyuan there, so they agreed to go to the cafeteria for breakfast together.

Feng Xiaochi and Luo Kaiyuan had actually started their own training in the past few days. They were currently in the consolidation phase. Normally, it would take three to four months, or even half a year, to beco proficient before they could move on to the next step.

In reality, this was a waiting period for their Mutated Organizations to grow. Specific arrangents could only be made depending on the degree of growth, but ordinary students were unaware of this.

This was why so students didn’t master Power until their second year. However, this referred to Great Force; Small Force was relatively much easier to achieve. Even soone without a Mutated Organization could develop it through their own hard work and by taking so potential-awakening drugs. Many Class B students mastered Power this way.

While the three of them were eating breakfast, Feng Xiaochi gave each of them a pair of Boxing Gloves. "My family had these Boxing Gloves custom-made for , and I had them make two extra sets for you guys."

Chen Chuan didn’t stand on ceremony, thanking him and accepting them. Among friends, it was natural to exchange gifts; he would just have to return the favor when he got the chance.

Luo Kaiyuan accepted his and said solemnly, "Thank you."

Feng Xiaochi smiled. "What’s there to thank for? It’s just a small thing. The academy’s training equipnt is comprehensive, but it’s still more convenient to have your own small items like these Boxing Gloves, portable resistance bands, grip trainers, and tension pulleys. My family’s business makes this stuff. I’ll take you guys to see it another day."

Chen Chuan smiled. "Sure."

After breakfast, the three of them returned to the dorm. As soon as they walked in, they saw the dorm supervisor holding the phone receiver. Seeing Chen Chuan, the supervisor quickly called out, "Chen, it’s a call for you." Then, into the phone, he said, "He’s here. Hold on a mont."

Chen Chuan imdiately walked over, said thanks, and took the phone. "Hello?"

Wei Chang’an’s excited and slightly hoarse voice ca from the other end. "Junior, we’ve found Scarface’s hideout! Are you free now? I’ll co pick you up."

"I’m right here at the dorm building," Chen Chuan said.

"Don’t go anywhere! I’ll be right there!"
