He was indeed unrestrained, attacking directly as he spoke.

Iaido!

The Japanese blade, similar in shape to a sword, allows its wielder to be referred to as a Sword Hero.

Shangquan Xiuzun’s Iaido is truly superb; against an unard Fang Zheng, he showed no hesitation, attacking with full force right from the start.

His body was like a tightly wound spring that suddenly unleashed its power, instantly shattering the resilient carpet and the hard floor beneath it. The approaching blade glimred as one, with a hint of the One-Character Heart-Clearing Slash’s essence.

"Swoosh!"

The long saber slashed through empty space.

Hmm?

Shangquan Xiuzun felt a chill in his heart, quickly withdrawing his saber to defend, only to see Fang Zheng standing motionless, not taking advantage to counterattack.

"Whoosh..."

He gripped the hilt with both hands, his wrists tensed, and suddenly thrust forward.

Thrusting Sword Technique!

This thrust showcased the mastery from countless drills; the long saber sliced through the air with a low-pitched whistle, causing his clothes to rustle violently.

Yet,

It was once again in vain.

Shangquan Xiuzun’s face turned icy, and he slashed, struck, thrust, and swept repeatedly, launching over a dozen attacks in an instant, but none landed.

In the eyes of others, Shangquan Xiuzun’s movents appeared particularly bizarre.

Though Fang Zheng was right in front of him, he continuously slashed to the left, thrust to the right, each strike missing Fang Zheng entirely.

As if he was intentionally avoiding injury.

Little did they know.

Shangquan Xiuzun’s reactions were indicative of a Martial Dao expert.

As he drew his saber, he sensed Fang Zheng’s body evade to the side, naturally adjusting his strike to follow, even when sweeping horizontally, he sensed Fang Zheng’s presence approaching, forcing him to withdraw to defend.

Every strike, adjusted due to the opponent’s perceived movent.

Yet every attempt fell short.

Clearly, the opponent stood unmoving, yet drained him of all energy.

How could this be?

Shangquan Xiuzun suddenly sheathed his saber, his eyes ablaze with fervor, he fixed his gaze on Fang Zheng and said:

"Martial Dao Will!"

"It truly is... Martial Dao Will!"

Only Martial Dao Will could warp his perception, creating illusions causing his blade to miss despite the target standing still.

"Haha..."

Shangquan Xiuzun suddenly burst into laughter, tears streaming down his face:

"To think a Martial Arts Grandmaster would face , such miraculous martial arts truly exist in this world, even in death, I, Shangquan Xiuzun, die with honor!"

"Kill!"

With a furious howl, he once again swung his saber out.

This slash.

He no longer concerned himself with Fang Zheng but focused entirely within, channeling his body as though for the thousandth swing, power coursing from muscle to wrist.

Essence, Qi, and Spirit fused as one.

The light of his blade seed to shine, an indescribable thrill accumulating in his heart, ready to surge forth.

Over a year of waiting, hundreds of days and nights of accumulation, Shangquan Xiuzun finally encountered an opponent capable of unlocking his potential.

The path to becoming a Grandmaster...

Lies ahead!

"Swoosh!"

The long saber stilled.

Two fingers appeared out of nowhere.

The fingers gently pinched the descending blade, like holding a venomous snake by its deadly point, abruptly halting Shangquan Xiuzun’s imminent breakthrough.

"The Eastern Sword Hero’s swift blade truly has so skill."

Fang Zheng flexed his fingers, the trendous force caused Shangquan Xiuzun’s long saber to fly from his hand, the hilt flipping into Fang Zheng’s grasp.

"Hoping to use for a breakthrough, unfortunately..."

"You’re too old!"

If Shangquan Xiuzun were in his thirties or forties, when his vitality was at its peak, perhaps he might actually have the chance to beco a Martial Arts Grandmaster.

But,

Now he was nearing seventy.

His essence depleted, his Primordial Qi weakened, making his breakthrough nearly impossible, and Fang Zheng had no intention of granting him this opportunity.

"Why?"

Shangquan Xiuzun staggered, his eyes vacant as he trembled, engulfed in the frustration of a thwarted breakthrough:

"Just a little more, just a little more..."

"Attack!"

At that mont, Yuan Chun suddenly shouted, drawing a pistol from his body, pulling the trigger and firing at Fang Zheng.

"Bang!"

"Ding..."

Sparks erupted in the arena.

A flash of the blade appeared out of nowhere, accompanied by the crisp ’clang...’ sound, the bullet cut in half by the long saber, bounced around on the carpet.

The scene fell silent.

Everyone’s bodies were frozen in place; even the frustrated, furious Shangquan Xiuzun stood stunned, gazing at the figure in the arena with disbelief.

Fang Zheng held the saber in one hand, twirling it with a flourish, pointing it diagonally to the ground:

"Ladies and gentlen, how does Fang’s Saber Technique asure up?"

"This can’t be!"

Yuan Chun shook his head, his expression growing increasingly ferocious:

"Such a thing... is absolutely impossible!"

Slicing bullets with a blade?

What kind of international joke is this!

"Go to hell!"

"Die!"

Amidst his furious roars, he repeatedly pulled the trigger, over a dozen bullets spewing from the barrel, enveloping Fang Zheng from all directions.

"Ding..."

The blade light appeared again.

Like arcs, like circles, like lightning...

Executing the Elental Thunder Skill, in Fang Zheng’s perception, ti seed to slow, Yuan Chun’s trigger-pulling motion distinctly discernible.

Even,

The mont each bullet left the barrel, was all visible.

The Realm of the Three Thunders’ body allowed his burst speed to be astonishingly fast, the One Word Illuminates the Heart saber technique rendering his saber speed comparable to a Great Zhou Celestial Martial Artist.

Each saber strike,

Precisely intercepted the oncoming bullets.

"Clang-clang..."

Sparks flew in the arena, each bullet cut in half, falling to the ground one after another.

"Attack!"

Others also pulled their triggers, three guns with dozens of bullets whistling out, weaving a net in the air, enclosing that figure.

"Swoosh!"

The figure flickered.

Like a phantom, it instantly swept past several people in the arena, the blade light flickering, ’sss’ ripping sounds, followed by a sudden stillness.
