Father Cheng and Mrs. Cheng were anxiously waiting outside the door, occasionally checking their watches, and rushed forward as soon as they saw the door open.
"Daoist, how is it?"
"Daoist, is my son alright?"
"Both of you!" The Daoist’s face was pale, his knees trembling, as he raised his hands with effort and said:
"Allow this old Daoist to take a mont."
"Yes, yes."
They responded, arranging for a soft chair to support the Daoist as he sat down.
"Gulp..."
The Daoist grabbed a glass of water and drank it down desperately, only letting out a long breath after a while, with the fear in his eyes slightly diminished.
"Daoist?"
Father Cheng and Mrs. Cheng looked at him with anticipation.
"Alas!"
The Daoist lowered his head and sighed, his voice dropping like a heavy stone on their chests, making their hearts tighten and their breaths quicken.
"This poor Daoist is powerless."
"The ghost is truly too powerful!"
At this point, the Daoist’s eyes showed fear, and his body trembled slightly. He had been capturing ’ghosts’ for half a lifeti, but this ti, he had t the real thing.
Fortunately,
the ghost was also open to negotiation.
After pausing, he continued:
"To be honest, your young master is not only haunted by a vengeful female ghost but also a more ferocious... old ghost."
"Ah!"
The two were shocked:
"What is going on?"
"That, you have to ask your young master." The Daoist shook his head, stroked his beard, and said:
"This poor Daoist and the ghost have gotten to know each other through confrontation. Although I couldn’t remove him from your young master, I have temporarily suppressed it."
"However..."
"Fierce ghosts are difficult to remove, especially the old one, whose resentnt is astonishing. If its resentnt cannot be dissolved, your young master might not be able to escape unscathed."
"Daoist!" shouted Mrs. Cheng, weeping loudly:
"You must help us!"
Help you?
Who will help !
If I had known this earlier, I wouldn’t have co even if beaten to death. Now that I’m targeted by the fierce ghost, I can’t leave even if I want to.
The Daoist rolled his eyes inwardly and shook his head, saying:
"It’s not that this poor Daoist doesn’t want to help; I’ve already done my best."
"Daoist!"
Father Cheng said in a deep voice:
"Five million, to get rid of those two evil ghosts from Cheng Tao!"
"Five million?" The Daoist’s eyes widened, his breath quickening. Then a wave of fear welled up, like a basin of cold water poured over him, and he shook his head with a wry smile:
"Boss Cheng, this ti I am truly powerless."
"However..."
"Though I can’t kill the ghosts, there is a way to resolve their resentnt. As long as the fierce ghost no longer harbors resentnt, it won’t continue to haunt your young master."
"Oh!" Father Cheng raised an eyebrow:
"What should we do?"
"It’s quite simple. Apologize and compensate." The Daoist explained:
"Young Master Cheng hard soone; there must be a price paid, especially for that old ghost, who beca what he is after your young master hit soone and disposed of the body."
"Paying so money is quite normal."
"But..." Mrs. Cheng, who doted on her child, wasn’t surprised by what Cheng Tao did, but she understood the seriousness, hesitatingly replied:
"Wouldn’t my son go to jail if we do this?"
"This..." The Daoist’s eyes flickered:
"It’s better than losing his life."
"Then compensate!" Father Cheng declared:
"Try to settle it privately first. If it doesn’t work, pursue legal action. As for going to jail... there will be ways to handle it."
"Are you sure?" Mrs. Cheng looked at him doubtfully.
"Don’t you trust my handling of things?" Father Cheng shook his head, not lingering on the issue, and turned to the Daoist:
"Daoist, what is the identity of the old ghost?"
"You’d have to ask your young master about that," the Daoist replied, pointing towards the room:
"Now that the old ghost has been temporarily suppressed by , it shouldn’t show up, and Young Master Cheng should have regained his senses."
Before he finished speaking, Mrs. Cheng had hurried into the room, followed by her joyful cries of relief.
Inside the room.
Besides the three mbers of the Cheng family, there was only the Daoist. All the security personnel had been dismissed.
Father Cheng and Mrs. Cheng completely trusted the Daoist. Even though their son was possessed by a fierce ghost, they weren’t worried with the Daoist around.
But,
The Daoist clearly didn’t feel the sa, his expression uneasy, unable to sit still.
"Xiao Tao."
Mrs. Cheng held Cheng Tao’s face, asking with concern:
"Are you alright now?"
"Mom!" Cheng Tao’s body trembled, his bewildered eyes clearing slightly, then burst into tears:
"Mom!"
"There’s a ghost, a ghost!"
He had been tornted for days, slipping into an extre state of panic every ti he closed his eyes, tornting him to no end.
Now,
he finally felt sowhat normal.
"I know, I know." Mrs. Cheng hugged her son, gently patting his back, softly comforting him:
"Don’t worry, it’s alright now, everything is fine. With the Daoist here, the fierce ghost on you won’t dare to harm you anymore."
"Cough, cough!"
The Daoist coughed lightly and said:
"This poor Daoist can only temporarily suppress the ghosts; truly eliminating them is beyond my power."
"Xiao Tao."
Father Cheng spoke gravely:
"The Daoist said there are two fierce ghosts on you, one is a female ghost, and the other is an old ghost, which was created when you hit soone and disposed of the body."
"Is this really true?"
As for the female ghost, it must be the one who recently jumped from the building.
"..." Cheng Tao’s eyes contracted, instinctively avoiding eye contact.
"Don’t think about deceiving ." Father Cheng, knowing his son well, saw his expression and deduced his intent to deny. He said coolly:
"You know whether you did it or not. If you don’t want to die, confess honestly, and the three of us will figure out a solution."
"..." Cheng Tao opened his mouth, a bitter smile spreading across his face:
"Yes."
"I did hit soone and threw them into the mountains. At that ti, the person wasn’t dead yet, but it was several months ago."
"The length of ti doesn’t matter." The Daoist interjected:
"Now, that person has turned into a fierce ghost and is haunting Young Master Cheng. Dissolving the ghost’s resentnt is the priority."
"Who was that person?" Father Cheng asked:
