A tortured scream ripped out of my throat before I could even process what was happening.
The pain was instant. Violent. Absolute.
A core was sothing everyone ford during their awakening. It differed depending on race and the energy they used.
For humans, dwarves, and most mortal races, it was called a Mana Core.
For demons, a Demon Core.
For beasts and beastn, a Beast Core.
For spiritual races like elves, fae, and dryads, a Spiritual Core.
Yes... other races existed in this world.
Even dragons.
But that wasn’t the problem right now.
The problem was this:
I had already ford my mana core during my awakening.
So whatever the system ant by core creation...

The agony was indescribable.

Pitch black.
Yet inside its darkness... sothing shimred.
Tiny points of light flickered within it, like distant stars scattered across an endless void.
It was as if the core held a fragnt of the night sky itself...

...the birth of sothing far older.
The mont the core stabilized, the unbearable pain finally vanished.
Relief flooded my body so suddenly it almost made dizzy.
A warm energy flowed outward from the new core, spreading through my veins, nding whatever damage had been done during the process.
But I barely noticed.
The mont the pain disappeared..
...darkness swallowed whole.

I woke with a groan, my skull pounding like soone had taken a hamr to it.
"Damn..."
Rubbing my temples, I forced myself upright and glanced at the clock beside my bed.

My eyes widened.
I had started this whole thing around midday.

Before I could start cursing the system properly—

I blinked slowly.

The sound echoed through my bones like glass shattering.
A wave of pain exploded through as my skeleton seed to collapse inward.
My muscles followed.

Liquefying.
It felt like my entire body was being torn apart at the molecular level.
I opened my mouth to scream—
But no sound ca out.
The pain was too overwhelming.
Too absolute.
My vision went white.
Then black.
And the world disappeared again.

My voice ca out hoarse as I stared up at the ceiling.
What kind of cursed cosmic entity had I offended to deserve this level of torture?

On the bed.
My room looked like the aftermath of a particularly enthusiastic serial killer.

Judging by the state of the room, my entire circulatory system had apparently decided to vacate my body at so point during the process.
