The sound of a bell rang out, it was ancient, regal, old...

The sound seed to travel too the far ends of the planet, as people an untold number of distance away from it, could clearly pick up the tolling of an ancient bell..
DONG!!!!
The sound of the bell seed to have aroused the very world itself, as the energy in the air deepened at every toll, places from all over the world experiencing a rapid rise in the concentration of mana..
Beasts underwent sudden evolutions, people who once had no hope of an awakening, suddenly undergoing forced awakenings..
The world’s overall mana concentration jumped by more than 20percent and the culprit of it all was..
DONG!!!
The massive bell that stood high on the top of the largest structure within Aeternum, it was a white-gold tower surrounded by swirling runes that were drawn from a language too old for rune masters of the current era to have any hope of ever comprehending them..
The tower stretched so high, it’s top vanished within the skies, the bell that was making the noise actually not being visible to anyone..
The Aeternum Spire..
It was a majestic construct that lost out in height to only one structure on the the entirety of terra and that was the Tower of Ascension that stood like a watching sentinel over the entire planet..
The spire is said to be the residence of the dean himself, with access only being granted to those whom the dean invited, as nobody, not even the vice, was allowed within the construct uninvited...
The tolling of the bell continued for another 8 more tis, totaling twelve tolls in total..
When it finally stopped, the entirety of the mana concentration on the surface of the planet had risen to a staggering 50 percent....
The world was in an uproar, as the number of awakened individuals skyrocketed in alarming numbers...
"This marks the beginning of the Millennium Academy Enrollnt ceremony"
An ancient, wizened old voice echoed throughout all of terra, stopping in their tracks those who were currently engaged in one thing or the other...
"Who..who is that..?"
"Mommy... I’m scared"..
Many were frightened when they suddenly heard a strange voice speaking like the voice of a god..
"Ahh... it’s that ti of the year again huh?"
"Damn... it never gets old no matter how many tis I experience it" yet there were also others who were well aware of just what it was that was going on, regret clear on their faces that they weren’t qualified to partake in the festivities themselves..
"I wonder just what type of monsters they’re going to get this ti?" Soone asked his friend with a wistful look on his eyes..
"It doesn’t matter to folks like us, we’re not ant to know what happens in the world of monsters, so I advice you to stop daydreaming and get back to trying to survive these evolved boars" his friend chided him harshly...

Back within the academy city..
The atmosphere instantly beca charged, the competition in the air was so thick, it could be cut with a knife..
This was supposed to be an enrollnt ceremony, sothing to welco students to the academy, yet it felt like they were stepping into a battlefield, the atmosphere feeling like nothing more than a little would set it off..
"Let the Festivities...BEGIN!!!"
Following the sound of the old voice,The academy’s gilded white gate opened with a slow, groaning sound, the noise rumbling sohow throughout the entire city.. that was all the spark needed to detonate this volatile atmosphere...
A long stream of carriages, flying vessels, hover cars that looked packed with weapons ant for a siege, instantly appeared within the gates premises, it felt like they had always been there, like they were just waiting for the opening of the gates, marking the beginning of the ceremony for them to manifest themselves..
Slowly, they made their way into the academy’s large central plaza where a circular platform had been built, and right there, at the center of said platform, several youths could already be seen standing, their expressions prideful and entitled, they were clearly new candidates as well, yet they’d already adorned in the school’s distinctive uniforms.
So of the arriving youths reacted, others treated them as air, as they found their positions among them.
Their gazes settled around them, surveying the arrangent made around the platforms, taking in the tiered arrangents of the entire platform..
Chairs surrounded the platform in an ascending manner, the seats already being filled with people...
The robes bearing different accents showed clearly their status...
The first row, with their black and green stripes, belonged to those from the outer court, these were the majority that had appeared here today, eager to see what new wave of competition were arriving..
Those with their black and silver stripes, were geniuses from the inner court, they were fewer in number, with most disdaining the new arrivals, as they saw them as nothing more than prepruned flowers..
The upper rings housed those with black uniforms and golden accents, those from the supresanctum, these were few and far between, those present here having clearly co with an agenda, or were representing their factions in scouting for talents..
Most from within the supre sanctum were either away on missions, in secluded trainings or just didn’t care enough to bother making an appearance..
Beyond those, were the seats reserved for the supervisors, their silver robes with golden ascents clearly showing their status.
And above those, were the instructors of the academy, those who wielded true power within the academy’s walls, there weren’t any distinctions between them, as like all things within the academy, your strength was your only distinction..
And standing right at the very forefront of this tier, was a black haired man, his muscular fra stood ramrod straight, his hands were clasped behind his back, his expression plain and indifferent as he regarded the arriving geniuses with not an ounce of acknowledgnt within those placid eyes..
It didn’t matter if you were the heir to an ancient lineage..
It didn’t matter if you had four pairs of angelic wings behind you.
It didn’t matter if you had horns that were burning with a malevolent fla, no, actually, his face did quiver at the sight of that one, an almost pitying expression, but it vanished so fast one might as well have imagined it..
The point was, it didn’t matter who it was that appeared, or how dense their auras were or how reality reacted to their presence, in his eyes, they were all insignificant little characters that were about to begin their first steps into the brutal reality of the world...
"SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEECH!!!!!!"
The screeching of a massive beast broke the solemn atmosphere, as all eyes seed to turn upwards imdiately..
A smile finally cracked itself present on Valen’s stoic face..
"Now, we can begin" he muttered to himself, as the majestic flapping of wings echoed across the entire plaza, a massive shadow being cast over all those present..

The enrollnt ceremony, had officially begun..
