The air split apart as people made their way in a haste towards the now opened gate, a swirling bluish-gold portal within.
One thing I’d noticed earlier, the monkeys didn’t seem at all bothered by the fact that outside forces, not the ones allied to help, but those just out for personal gain, were also rushing towards the gate.
Normally, in any novel I’d read, this would be where the elders or what not, start imposing limits or rules on the outsiders, if not outright banishing them from entering.
But like I said before, monkey business, not my concern..
"Alright.. you."
"UP YOU GO!" I hurled the groaning Malachi onto my shoulders like a sack of potatoes...
"Old man, we’ll be going now.." I waved Son-Kai off as I made my way towards the swirling gate..

"What are the rest of you waiting for? Follow him." The old ape looked towards the gathered simians, urging them forward.
The young apes turned toward Allekai, seeking confirmation.
"You can do as he says, but be sure to stick together."
"Yes, patriarch." The female ape, sorin, replied, before swiftly catching up to Dante’s departing figure.
Watching the departing figures of the dozen or so apes, Allekai finally asked the question on his mind..
"Brother Kai."
"Hmm."
"Do you truly trust that human so much?"
Son-Kai remained silent for a mont, before turning towards his friend, "since little Kai was growing up, I’ve never seen him as free spirited and lively with anybody else, other than with that young man."
"But, I don’t think they’ve known each other long?"
"They t at the academy, so, roughly less than two weeks, heh."
Son-Kai laughed.
"Less than two weeks and you’re already trusting your son to so humans? What if his friendliness is just a trick to deceive young Kai." Allekai wasn’t convinced..
"That boy, Dante, has been staying with us for three days now, and in those three days, I had gotten a glimpse of his personality."
"And?"
"He is arrogant, conceited, prideful, self centered.." Son-Kai replied.
"All bad qualities if you ask ."
"Indeed, hahahahaha.. but he is also surprisingly endearing, respectful, and caring. Where his pride might be a fault, it is also a benefit, because he is too proud to pretend."
"So you’re staking your son’s as well as my clan’s youths lives on a bet on soone’s character?"
"I’m placing my son’s life on a bet on his discerning capabilities."
"You’re crazy old friend."
"As we should always be, my friend. Hahahahahaha!!!" Son-Kai laughed..
"Now prove right, little Kai, Dante. Prove that I am not wrong!"

The mont we crossed through the gate, that familiar feeling of passing through a water curtain rippled through my body once more.
"Seems we’ve been teleported sowhere, typical." I muttered as I took in my surroundings.
"Ughh.. put down you bastard." The ungrateful monkey groaned.
"Sheesh, try to help soone and this is the thanks I get."
Thud!!
"Hey! Be gentle!"
"Like hell I will!"
"Why you..."
Ahh! Ahh! Ahh!

Before the argunt could continue, the cries of monkeys could be heard all around us.
"Malachi!" A soft, feminine voice called out urgently, prompting the monkey to get up imdiately..
"We’re surrounded.."
I looked around.
Indeed, we were surrounded.
More than a hundred apes had spawned out of nowhere, blood red fur, crimson eyes, and nasty claws that looked ready to rip flesh from bone..
Oouh! Oouh! Oouh! Ahh! Ahh! "I sll stoneborn.. kekekekek..." an eerie voice sounded out from the group of apes that had surrounded us...
The wave parting for an ape to step forth, this one wearing blood red plate armor, over 8ft tall, with claws the length of kitchen knives..
"Ahhhhh~~~ I was right, it is indeed stoneborn blood, how delectable..." the newly appeared monkey drawled..
"Bloodveins."
Malachi muttered under his breath.
"You know these ugly fuckers? And why’s that guy acting creepy?" I asked.
"They’re bloodveins, they’re supposed to act creepy."
The group of silver apes had gathered together, forming one defensive lineup.
"What do we do? They’re too many." Sorin asked, yet before Malachi could begin showing off..
Screeee!!!
"What the fuck is that sll??" The sleeping Leo suddenly woke with a start.
"What s...OHH FUCK... Urghh... my nose!!!" I sniffed the air, wondering what’s got the chicken-cat rattled, I shouldn’t have..
"What the fuck is that!!!?" I yelled, pinching my nose for dear life..
"It’s, I think it’s coming from there." Following Leo’s pointing wing, my eyes landed on the still grinning armor wearing ape.
I sniffed the air in his direction and it felt like I’d just been gut punched by the world’s foulest stench..
"BLERGHHHHH!!!!! Fuck!!! WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT HORRIBLE STENCH!!!"
"IT SLLS LIKE WET SHIT MIXED WITH REFUSE THAT HAD BEEN INCUBATING FOR AGES!! MAKE IT STOP!!" I collapsed instantly.
Malachi followed my lead, sniffing the air.
"Fucking hell, Dante! What the fuck is that sll? And how the hell did you even recognize it." The monkey collapsed beside .
Defeated by sheer nastiness...
Leo followed soon after,
"FUCK!! Why did I go sniff the air too?? Being around you fools has made dumb, fuck... soone get that guy a bath."
"No please, he already slls horrible, I don’t want to add wet monkey to that list.. just the thought is making queezy.!"
"Wet monkeys don’t sll like shit!" Malachi roared.
"And how would you know that you motherfucker!"
"Because I don’t sll like that when I bathe."
"You have monkey nose, I’m sure you just don’t notice."
"What the fuck is that supposed to an!?"
"Sobody, anybody, just please, get that guy to stop slling like wet refuse." Leo’s weak voice sounded out, montarily pausing our fight.
Oouh Oouh Oouh ahh ahh ahh " you dare sully the na of Sullivan Bloodvein?" The slly monkey roared, spittle spraying all around..
"Dude, you already have sully in your dumb ass na, I don’t think I need to do much more, now please, stop talking, you’re killing here.."
Oouh Oouh ooouh ahh ahh ahh "I’ll CRUSH YOUR BONES AND FEED ON YOUR FLESH!!!!" The monkey roared...
"DAMN!! What a violent monkey!!"
"You’re starting to sound really racist here, Dante!!"
"What!? He’s a fucking monkey!" I retorted.
"I’M a fucking monkey!."
"And I call you that all the fucking ti, you idiot!!"
"It’s not the sa thing!!"
"It bloody is, you bastard!!"
I could feel the crowd’s incredulous gaze on and Malachi, but I didn’t care, this monkey wasn’t getting away with calling a racist..
Oouh Oouh Oouh Ahh ahh ahh "DIIIIIEEEEEE!!!!!!"

Both mine and Malachi’s fists connected with the slly monkey’s head, turning it into a spraying mist of brain matter and blood...
THUD!
The sound the headless body made as it collided with the ground was especially loud in the silence that had fallen upon the place..
"FUCK! Even his blood is slly!! Shit!!" Only for my irritated voice to break it.
The slly blood had almost sprayed , luckily, the wind seed to be on my side, blowing the nasty thing away, but soone else wasn’t so lucky..
"I got it on my hand.."
Sniff!!!
"Urghhh... fuck.. get it off, get it off, get it off... DANTE, get this shit off .." the monkey shoved the arm into my face..
"Woah there slly, keep that abomination away!!" I backed up imdiately..
"Get this shit off .... You know so magic right?, cast so cleansing spell quick!" The monkey was in a hurry, can’t say I bla him..
"I only know destructive and painful magic, now stay away from .."
"Oh co on, I know you’ve got sothing. Just get this shit off .. fuck!! The sll is spreading, hurry!!"
"Well, I’ve got a very powerful healing spell, one powerful enough to restore severed limbs." I placed a hand on my chin, thoughtful.
"You’re not saying..." the monkey’s eyes widened..
"It’s the only way." I confird, as Elira appeared in my hands..
"You idiots aren’t seriously considering chopping off his hand because of so blood right??"
We both paused..
"Here, sniff this!" Before Malachi shoved his hand into Leo’s face.
The reaction was instantaneous..
"Uuugghhhhh... fuck!!! Chop that thing off, get rid of that abomination imdiately. In fact let do it." A blade of light materialized above Malachi’s hand, ready to chop it off before...
Ahhh!!! Ahhh!! Ahhh!!!
"Kill... kill them all....
"Crush their bones..."
The bloodvein apes finally snapped out of their shocked states, their maddened cries filling the air as they charged towards our little group...
"These motherfuckers!!!"
"Guess we’ll have to take care of the rabble first.." my wings sprouted, unfurling to their fullest length...
"I swear, if I get anymore slly blood on my body, I’ll strangle every bloodvein I see in this goddamn place." Malachi raged, staff appearing in his grasp.
"But wouldn’t that just get more blood on you?"
"You know what? Fuck you, Dante. And fuck these monkeys too.."
"Now DIE motherfuckers.."
Gotta say, I hadn’t heard the monkey swear this much since well, forever, I guess he’s just letting loose after finally being free.
"Heh! Ti to get so monkey business done!"
Okay, I’ll admit it, maybe I am starting to sound a little bit racist, just a little.
"Hahahahahahaha....."
