Chapter 287: Han Xu’s Request!
Shen Haoran and Han Xu left the Alchemy Master Guild together. As they were leaving, however, Shen Haoran didn’t forget to ask for a Fourth Grade Alchemist’s badge and the unique robes issued by the guild to its Alchemists.
When Shen Haoran asked for them, Elder Hu didn’t dare to refuse. The skill Shen Haoran had just displayed had left him completely stunned. ’His abilities aren’t limited to a Fourth Grade Alchemist. He’s definitely stronger than a Fifth Grade one!’ A Fifth Grade Alchemist this young... his future accomplishnts... The very thought terrified Elder Hu. How could he possibly dare to cause Shen Haoran any more trouble?
Looking at the badge in his hand that signified his status as an Alchemist, Shen Haoran’s face blood into a wide smile. The four stars shining with a silver light represented the Alchemist’s Level; Shen Haoran’s four stars ant he was a Fourth Grade Alchemist.
With this proof of his Alchemist identity, he could avoid a lot of unnecessary trouble in the future. After all, the profession of an Alchemist was highly respected on the Xingluo Continent.
After putting away the Alchemist badge, Shen Haoran and Han Xu went to an inn.
"Brother Shen, I never expected your Alchemy skills to be so superb. I’m afraid they probably surpass that of an average Fifth Grade Alchemist, right?" Han Xu said politely. However, Shen Haoran didn’t respond, simply staring straight at Han Xu as if waiting for sothing.
Getting the creeps from Shen Haoran’s stare, Han Xu gave a wry smile and said, "Brother Shen, it seems you know what I’m thinking?"
"You have a favor to ask? You might as well just say it," Shen Haoran said, getting straight to the point.
Seeing Shen Haoran’s gaze that seed to pierce through everything, Han Xu hesitated for a mont. Then, he gritted his teeth and said, "To be honest, I do have a favor to ask."
"I ntioned my background before. I’m the Young Master of the Han Family from North Desert City in the Northern Domain. The reason I ca to the Southern Domain is to find an Alchemist with superb skills for my younger sister."
"My sister is afflicted with a cold poison. I’ve searched every Alchemy Master Guild in the Northern Domain, but not a single person could cure it. As you know, the Northern Domain is mostly a desolate Desert Land. Spirit dicines are inherently scarce, so there are very few Alchemists. Even the ones there are mostly incompetent, which is why I ca to the Southern Domain to seek help."
"Oh? Then why did you seek out? Back at the entrance to the Alchemy Master Guild, I hadn’t revealed my Alchemy skills at all. Your defense of makes it hard for not to think you have ulterior motives," Shen Haoran said, his eyes narrowing as a cold glint flashed within them.
Hearing this, Han Xu scratched his head and said, "Brother Shen, you might not believe , but the old master of my family once taught a technique for judging character. I could see that you have an extraordinary bearing and are destined for greatness, so I took a gamble. I never expected you to give such a huge surprise! Please, Brother Shen, help . I will be sure to reward you generously in the future!" After speaking, Han Xu bowed deeply to Shen Haoran.
Seeing Han Xu’s sincere attitude, Shen Haoran let down his guard. He helped him up and said, "It’s not impossible for to help, but can you answer a question for first?" Shen Haoran asked softly.
"Brother Shen, please ask. I’ll tell you everything I know without holding anything back!" Han Xu said.
"You’re from the Northern Domain. Do you know of the Profound Yellow Fruit?" Shen Haoran asked, looking at Han Xu with a hint of anticipation in his eyes.
"The Profound Yellow Fruit?" Han Xu lowered his head in thought. After a long mont, he shook his head and said helplessly, "I’m a complete novice when it cos to Spirit dicines. I don’t know anything about a Profound Yellow Fruit."
At his words, a trace of disappointnt flashed through Shen Haoran’s eyes.
"However, the elders of my Han Family should know. I think I heard them discussing so kind of fruit a while ago. Maybe it’s the sa thing you’re talking about, Brother Shen?" Han Xu said quickly when he saw Shen Haoran’s disappointnt.
"Really?" Shen Haoran’s face lit up again. He thought to himself, ’It looks like I’ll have to make a trip to the Han Family. Even if I don’t get a lead on the Profound Yellow Fruit, a family that’s been rooted in the Northern Domain for so long is bound to know more than I do. It’ll save from running around like a headless fly!’
"Brother Han, I accept. I’ll go with you to the Han Family!" Having made up his mind, Shen Haoran agreed directly.
"Really? Then on behalf of my little sister, thank you, Brother Shen!" Han Xu exclaid joyfully upon hearing Shen Haoran’s agreent.
"So, when do we leave?" Han Xu was already impatient to head back.
"Don’t be hasty. We’ll wait two more days," Shen Haoran said with a faint smile. Luo Zhengtian hadn’t finished gathering the Spirit dicines he needed yet; it wouldn’t be too late to leave after he got them.
Shen Haoran and Han Xu discussed for a long ti before finalizing their travel plans. Afterward, Shen Haoran took Han Xu to the Celestial Martial Auction House, and they took up residence there directly.
Luo Zhengtian’s efficiency was quite high. In just two days, he had gathered all the Spirit dicines Shen Haoran required, and even provided double the amount. Shen Haoran held the Storage Ring in his hand and smiled with satisfaction.
However, Shen Haoran didn’t have the money to pay for these Spirit dicines. Luo Zhengtian insisted on not charging him, saying they were a eting gift for an honored Elder.
In the end, under the shocked gazes of Luo Zhengtian and Han Xu, Shen Haoran directly tossed him two Fourth Grade Elixirs and one Third Grade Elixir before striding away. These three elixirs were worth far more than all those Spirit dicines. ’Shen Haoran is truly generous!’
After leaving the Celestial Martial Auction House, Shen Haoran and Han Xu headed straight for the place in the city where the Flying Shuttles were docked. The distance from Luotian City to North Desert City was not short. If they didn’t take a Flying Shuttle, it would probably take them a year to arrive on foot.
While the two of them were rushing toward the Flying Shuttle station, inside the room of the Alchemy Master Guild’s Vice President, Tyler sat at his desk with his eyes shut tight.
"Master, that Han and Shen are already on their way to the Flying Shuttle station. It seems they’re about to leave Luotian City!" A mont later, Yang Hao walked in from outside and reported with cupped fists.
"Mm, I know," Tyler said indifferently, not even opening his eyes.
Seeing this, Yang Hao frowned and said with so resentnt, "Master, are we really going to let them leave so easily?"
At these words, Tyler’s shut eyes snapped open, a cold light flashing within them. An icy voice erged from his lips, "Hmph, leave? Neither of them is going anywhere! That Sixth Grade Pill Recipe is as good as mine!"
"Master, don’t forget that Shen’s head! That bastard dared to humiliate like that in front of i’Er. I must kill him!" A ferocious look appeared on Yang Hao’s face.
"Of course! Hao’Er, I want you to go and..." Tyler called Yang Hao to his side and whispered in his ear.
As Yang Hao listened to Tyler’s words, a smile gradually spread across his face. When Tyler finished, Yang Hao couldn’t help but give him a thumbs-up. "Master, that’s a brilliant move!"
"Hmph, hurry and go! This ti, I’ll make those two brats understand the consequences of offending !" Tyler snorted. A cruel glint flashed in his eyes as he gazed out the window, and the very air around him seed to grow cold...
