As he continued forward, the map that Xiao Juanyun had provided was practically useless for soone as directionally challenged as Ling Feng.
He had no idea where he was, but his only thought was to keep moving!
At that mont, at the entrance of a passage, Ling Feng noticed a vague shadow exuding an astonishing Sword Qi.
"Intruder, defeat and you may proceed!"
The shadow’s gaze quickly locked onto Ling Feng, and a long sword materialized in its hand, attacking Ling Feng without hesitation.
"A Guardian, is it?"
Ling Feng squinted his eyes, smiled faintly, and Ten Directions Annihilation suddenly unsheathed.
In the next instant, the phantom dispersed, and Ling Feng stood with his hands behind his back; a Guardian of this level couldn’t stop his advance.
Although he couldn’t harness any Elental Power at the mont, Ling Feng had never feared anyone in pure swordsmanship.
...
anwhile, in other caverns, the other Martial Artists who had entered the ruins were encountering similar situations.
Although most managed to defeat their opponents, so couldn’t adapt to the loss of Elental Power and fell under the swords of those phantoms.
However, being defeated by those white shadows simply ant being directly transported out of the ruins, losing the qualification to continue treasure hunting.
Relatively speaking, the elimination chanism of these Great Wilderness Ruins was quite lenient.
...
After defeating the first Guardian, Ling Feng continued deeper, encountering new Guardians at regular intervals.
With each progression to a new level, the strength of the next Guardian increased significantly.
After breaking through four levels continuously, Ling Feng clearly felt that the Guardians’ abilities had greatly enhanced.
Just then, a cry of alarm ca from behind — it was a woman’s voice, sounding as if she was fleeing in panic.
By sheer coincidence, she ended up running towards Ling Feng.
"Why does this voice sound sowhat familiar?!"
Ling Feng’s eyelid twitched as he suddenly rembered — it was none other than Yue HuaQin’s voice!
Turning around, he indeed saw Yue HuaQin fleeing in distress, pursued by a shadowy figure.
With Yue HuaQin’s strength, passing the second trial was her limit.
At this mont, Yue HuaQin looked very battered; clearly, the trials before had given her quite the ordeal.
"Junior Brother Ling!"
Seeing Ling Feng ahead, Yue HuaQin was overjoyed and sprinted towards him.
Ling Feng shook his head and smiled wryly. Since they had t, he couldn’t just stand by.
In a flash, Ling Feng sprinted towards Yue HuaQin. With her strength, even being grazed by the Sword Qi of the third-level Guardian would likely spell her doom. (Note: Ling Feng wasn’t aware that failure only ant being transported out.)
anwhile, the Guardian obstructing Ling Feng had already locked onto his Qi chanism. Seeing Ling Feng retreat, the Guardian thought he was trying to escape, and imdiately pursued with the long sword swinging.
Thus, with one in front and the other behind, the two Guardians cornered Ling Feng and Yue HuaQin, and then synchronized, they both struck with their swords.
"Ah!"
A scream echoed as Yue HuaQin was re ters away from Ling Feng, feeling a terrifying Sword Pressure bearing down, and was almost paralyzed with fright.
At the hair-trigger mont, Ling Feng leaped, catching Yue HuaQin’s waist with his left hand, drew his sword with his right, deftly separating the Sword Blades of the two Guardians in a single swing, twisting as his sword light glead like a Cold Star, slicing across the throats of the two Guardians.
Bang!
Bang!
With two crisp sounds, the two Guardians vanished instantly, the path behind seed completely sealed, yet ahead lay a new fork in the road.
