Xu Junjie heard Jiang Sifan shouting for him from inside the room and was instantly furious.
After hanging up the phone, he stord out. "What do you want? Didn’t I tell you to wait? What’s this? I’m doing you a favor, and now you’re ordering around?!"
Jiang Sifan held up the startup application form, his voice filled with anger. "Why was my startup application form in the trash?! Explain yourself."
"Oh, I probably threw it out by mistake," Xu Junjie said nonchalantly. "Just put it back on the desk. I’ll give it to the teacher later when I’m free."
"I know you did it on purpose!" Jiang Sifan slamd the application form on the table. "You just don’t want to help with the application. You’re targeting ."
"I have no grudge against you. Why would I target you?" Xu Junjie retorted, lecturing Jiang Sifan with the air of a third-year senior. "You’re just a freshman. Do you have any manners, being so disrespectful to an upperclassman?"
"Respect for an upperclassman is earned, not given. You just got here two years before , so what’s with the high and mighty act?" Jiang Sifan refused to back down. He wasn’t the type to just endure injustice for the sake of keeping the peace.
Xu Junjie’s anger flared. "I’m warning you, don’t get too cocky. Otherwise, that startup application of yours will never make it to the teacher."
"You think I don’t know where to find him? You think I’m so stupid I can’t find an office?" Jiang Sifan shot back. "I was showing your departnt respect by coming to the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Building and waiting in line like I was supposed to."
Xu Junjie made a shooing gesture. "Fine, fine, fine. Go on, then. Get out of here. Let’s see what you can accomplish on your own."
"You’re coming with . You are going to apologize to in front of the teacher," Jiang Sifan stated firmly.
"Why the hell should I?! Why should I apologize to you? Are you crazy?" Seeing that Jiang Sifan wasn’t going to be easy to handle, Xu Junjie looked for a chance to slip away.
But Jiang Sifan wasn’t about to let him get away that easily.
He grabbed Xu Junjie’s arm and started pulling him toward the administration building.
Xu Junjie started to panic and struggled to break free.
Although he was over 1.7 ters tall, Jiang Sifan was simply sturdier.
The grip of that one large hand was painful.
Xu Junjie tried to fight back, but Jiang Sifan stated bluntly, "If you don’t co with to see the teacher today, I swear I’ll raise all kinds of hell. If I’m not having a good day, you won’t either."
At these words, Xu Junjie stopped struggling. He decided to call his bluff. "Fine. Let’s go see the teacher right now. We’ll see who she believes—you or ."
"I’m sure the teacher will handle this fairly!" Jiang Sifan said with conviction.
Xu Junjie snorted when he heard this. "There are way too many freshn like you, wanting to apply for a startup studio at the drop of a hat. Even if you get this form to the teacher, do you really think she’ll give you a classroom? So naive."
Jiang Sifan replied, "Whether or not the teacher approves my application is one thing. You pulling shady tricks behind my back and getting caught is another thing entirely. Either way, you’re coming with to the teacher’s office to apologize to my face."
Xu Junjie, however, looked completely unfazed.
’This kid really doesn’t know his place.’
’He’d been working with Teacher Zhu from the Dual Innovation Departnt for so long; there was no way she wouldn’t side with him, right?’
Filled with this confidence, Xu Junjie went with Jiang Sifan to the administration building.
They found Teacher Zhu of the Dual Innovation Departnt.
At that mont, Teacher Zhu was scrolling through TikTok. She seed a bit surprised to see the two students approach, then looked at Xu Junjie. "Jun Jie, what’s wrong?"
"Teacher Zhu, this freshman refused to follow the rules. He insisted on coming to the Dual Innovation Departnt to cause trouble and has been making a huge racket," Xu Junjie said, playing the victim.
Jiang Sifan looked at the teacher before him. She was a bit plump and wore glasses. Her expression gave off a strong "keep your distance" vibe.
But when she looked at Xu Junjie, her expression was full of doting affection.
When Teacher Zhu heard that Jiang Sifan had been causing a scene at the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Building, she frowned. "You, what is your problem?"
Jiang Sifan imdiately explained, "Teacher, that’s not what happened. I submitted a startup application form to get a studio, but he threw my application in the trash. If I hadn’t found it, it never would have reached you."
After hearing this, Teacher Zhu turned to Xu Junjie. "Jun Jie, what’s going on?"
Xu Junjie answered without batting an eye. "Teacher Zhu, he’s completely misjudging . I just accidentally dropped the application into the trash can, and now he’s maliciously accusing , judging a gentleman by his own petty standards."
"What do you an, ’maliciously accusing’?" Jiang Sifan imdiately produced the application form. "You crumpled this into a ball, and you’re trying to tell you ’accidentally’ dropped it in the trash? Do you take for a complete idiot?"
"Believe what you want," Xu Junjie retorted loudly. "Everyone in the entire Dual Innovation Departnt will tell you I’m good-natured and easy to get along with. Then you, a freshman, show up and start slandering . I was trying to do you a favor, and you’re just looking for a fight. Besides, you freshn are always trying to start a business without doing any of the actual prep work."
"A favor? A favor my ass!" Jiang Sifan swore.
Listening to them bicker, Teacher Zhu quickly waved her hands. "Alright, alright, that’s enough. Stop fighting."
Jiang Sifan and Xu Junjie had no choice but to stop, but they continued to shoot daggers at each other with their eyes.
In the midst of their argunt, Teacher Zhu had figured out what was going on. She glanced at Xu Junjie, knowing full well that he had done it on purpose.
