The Black Water Region was vastly distant from the Daluo Region. It was separated by three or four domains, covering a distance of billions of miles.
This place was rife with miasma and sprawling swamps, a paradise for demon beasts.
Due to its harsh environnt teeming with demon beasts, the Black Water Region had beco a training ground for cultivators from so influential nearby Sects. Besides the cultivators on Sect training assignnts, this place also concealed evil demons and so extrely vicious individuals. The Sect cultivators who ca here for training often had to form groups to avoid harassnt from these ruthless individuals.
Space fluctuated in a certain part of the Black Water Region, and two figures suddenly appeared.
This Black Water Region is indeed a desolate place. Ye Yun scanned his surroundings. Marshes and miasma were everywhere, with various demon beasts lurking in the depths. He couldn’t help but shake his head and chuckle.
Liu Yiyi’s eldest martial brother, Ning Fangzhi, was hidden in the Mist Marsh of this Black Water Region. It was the vast, mist-shrouded black swamp area up ahead. Ning Fangzhi’s true self should be located deep inside the Cloud Mark Cave within the Mist Marsh. That clone only possessed vague mories about the location of Cloud Mark Cave, lacking clear details.
According to the clone’s hazy mories, Ning Fangzhi seed to be engaged in sothing very important inside the Cloud Mark Cave. Therefore, he had completely neglected this clone. It hadn’t been managed for many years.
Finding a cave world was not a difficult task for Ye Yun.
"Brother Yun, is this the Mist Marsh?" Liu Yiyi gazed at the vast black marshland ahead, a trace of excitent flickering in her eyes.
"Yes, what is it?" Ye Yun asked with a smile.
"Brother Yun, I heard that deep in the Mist Marsh of the Black Water Region, a type of Immortal Nectar Dew grows. If a female cultivator applies this dew to her skin, it will make it incredibly delicate." Liu Yiyi licked her red lips with her pink tongue, her eyes sparkling as she spoke.
"Haha... I thought you were eager to go and challenge Ning Fangzhi. I didn’t expect you to be interested in that Immortal Nectar Dew." Ye Yun scratched his head, sowhat torn between amusent and exasperation.
Liu Yiyi had already cultivated to the Half-step Divine Venerate Realm, yet she was still so devoted to her beauty. It shows that a woman’s pursuit of beauty lasts a lifeti.
Liu Yiyi’s face flushed, and she said coyly, "Brother Yun, you have no idea how precious this Immortal Nectar Dew is; it’s impossible to buy! For soone like , who has maintained her appearance to look like she’s in her early twenties, if I apply this Immortal Nectar Dew, I could look at least seventeen or eighteen years younger. Don’t you think I should be thrilled?"
"Find it, we shall! We’ll start looking right now! Since we’re already here, a little extra ti won’t matter." Ye Yun laughed heartily, reached out to rub her soft cheek, then took her hand, and they flew deeper into the marsh.
Once they were in the Mist Marsh, there was no longer a need to tear open the void. Although this place was vast, tearing the void would cover too great a distance, making it difficult to find the Cloud Mark Cave and the Immortal Nectar Dew.
Their figures quickly vanished into the white mist.
「anwhile.」
Deep within the Cloud Mark Cave, five figures with terrifying auras sat cross-legged in a dilapidated ancient formation. In the center, a black stone pillar stood. This black stone pillar was about ten ters wide and dozens of ters tall, entirely black, its surface densely covered with powerful Sealing Runes. Viewed from above, a black dragon pattern could be seen vividly imprinted on the top surface of the black stone pillar.
These five figures with terrifying auras each possessed a cultivation base at the God Venerable Realm. They had set up a small-scale restriction-breaking formation and were constantly refining the black stone pillar in the center.
At this mont, a young man in black, positioned at one point in the formation, opened his eyes. After glancing at the black stone pillar twice, a flicker of anxiety crossed his eyes, and he closed them again.
His actions, naturally, did not escape the notice of the other four Divine Sovereign Realm experts.
"Fifth Brother, what’s troubling you so much?" an elderly voice asked.
The young man in black opened his eyes again, his expression grave. "One of my clones," he said solemnly, "perished three months ago."
"Who was so audacious as to act against your clone?" the elderly voice asked again.
"I don’t know. This Cloud Mark Cave forms its own Miniature World, which made the connection with my clone very faint. I’m not clear about many of the specifics," the young man in black sighed and explained.
The connection between a clone and its main body isn’t unlimited in distance. The farther the distance, the weaker the connection. Now, he was deep within the Cloud Mark Cave, obstructed by this Miniature World, so his connection to the clone was almost non-existent.
Three months ago, the young man in black had felt his clone suddenly perish, which had filled him with extre rage. However, the five Divine Sovereign Realm experts had a very important task at hand and couldn’t spare him. He had no choice but to suppress his anger.
He had originally thought the seal on the black stone pillar would be worn down in another month or two. Unexpectedly, a full three months had passed, and the seal on the pillar was still intact. His heart grew increasingly anxious and restless. He was often on edge, his concentration wavering.
"It is indeed a pity your clone perished. It must have cost you considerable effort. However, the Black Stone Treasury will open soon. I believe there are many fine things inside that will definitely compensate for the loss of your clone," the elderly voice comforted.
"Let’s hope so. Otherwise, this loss will be too great." The young man in black sighed.
"Fifth Brother, you still sound displeased. But don’t forget, the Black Stone Treasury was left by a God King Expert! The treasures inside must be countless and will surely not make our many years of effort a waste," another old man added.
"I understand, Second Brother." The young man in black nodded silently and said no more.
All five of them were Divine Sovereign Realm Loose Cultivators. Thousands of years ago, this band of misfits had beco sworn brothers. They then settled down in the harsh environnt of the Black Water Region. They dared not go elsewhere because each of them had enemies they couldn’t afford to provoke. Thus, they hid in the Black Water Region, occasionally engaging in robbery and plunder. Their targets were naturally those Sect Disciples who went out for training.
Since accidentally discovering the Cloud Mark Cave 3,000 years ago, the five of them had moved into this Miniature World entirely. To their pleasant surprise, deep inside the Cloud Mark Cave, they had unintentionally activated an ancient formation and discovered this black stone pillar. The black stone pillar was covered with seals, and on the ground nearby, the words "Black Stone Treasury" were engraved.
Through various clues within the Cloud Mark Cave, they deduced this was a Treasure Pavilion left by a God King Expert. Overjoyed, the five of them joined forces to break the seals. This continued for 3,000 years. They broke one seal after another, but the final three, extrely powerful and difficult to breach, remained.
"The Sealing Runes on this Black Stone Treasury’s pillar are truly formidable. Elder Brother, when will that disciple of Skyfire God Honored arrive?" a middle-aged man asked.
"He should be here soon. I believe he is on his way now," the elderly voice replied.
Hearing the old man’s words, a hint of joy appeared on the faces of the other four. Although one more person ant another to share the spoils, he was at least one of their own and would be arriving late. Once the Black Stone Treasury was opened, he wouldn’t be able to take too many treasures. This was a situation everyone could accept.
