"Three people say it’s not tasty and it’s considered a loss? Isn’t that saying at least eight people need to say it’s tasty for the poster to win?"

Jiang Yu found it a bit unbelievable. Isn’t it considered a win if more than half agree? Winning only if over eighty percent like it, what kind of nonsense is that? This bet is way too unfair, isn’t it?

The difficulty for the poster to win this bet is beyond normal.

Even so, that poster still agreed to the bet. What was he thinking?

Where did he get such confidence in his soup dumplings?

Even if he cooked them himself, he couldn’t guarantee he’d definitely win!

It’s baffling, really baffling!

"Right, that’s why most students don’t think the poster can win."

Hu Zhihai nodded and continued,

"Not to ntion the students who haven’t tasted soup dumplings, even among those who have, so think the poster will lose.

They say everyone’s tastes are different—so like sweet, so like savory. Just because you find sothing tasty doesn’t an others will, like stinky tofu or century eggs; those who love them, love them, and those who don’t, just feel like throwing up at the sll.

Besides, the ten people are randomly selected. Who can guarantee that among them there aren’t one or two students who don’t like dumplings? And if there’s soone with a picky palate, the poster is definitely dood."

"Makes a lot of sense."

Jiang Yu laughed and curiously asked, "If that’s the case, why did the poster agree to decide the winner this way?"

"Because the poster firmly believes our shop’s soup dumplings are the best, that kind of delicacy should be sothing most people love."

Hu Zhihai squinted with laughter and said,

"If it weren’t for his friends persuading him, saying that even food made by a culinary god can’t be loved by everyone because there will always be one or two picky eaters, he might have agreed even to the harshest bet conditions."

"Impressive!"

Hearing this explanation, Jiang Yu was utterly dumbfounded. This poster is truly extraordinary; ordinary people wouldn’t dare to do such a thing.

Agreeing to a bet where he’s likely to lose, what’s he after?

Suddenly he thought of sothing and curiously asked,

"By the way, since they made a bet, there should be a wager, right?"

"Of course, there’s a wager. The loser has to treat the winner to als for a week, anywhere in the school cafeteria."

With an expression loving the excitent, Hu Zhihai happily said,

"However, the poster said that if he wins, he doesn’t want anything else but to be treated to soup dumplings for a week. Oh, and he needs the other to buy it for him because he doesn’t want to queue up due to the crowd."

"...The poster really has confidence in ."

After hearing Hu Zhihai’s story, Jiang Yu was speechless. He never imagined such a fuss over eating a soup dumpling.

However, judging from the agreed wagers, it seems that both parties are more in it for fun than anything serious, which reassured Jiang Yu quite a bit.

After all, if anything bad does happen, his newly opened shop won’t be uninvolved. If the school leaders co knocking, it would be trouble.

After a sigh of relief, he suddenly rembered sothing, turned, and asked,

"Zhihai, from what you said earlier, won’t there be a lot of people coming tonight?"

"Yes, the bet between the two sides has spread across the school, and many students are flocking to that post to watch and make a fuss. I guess by then, many will be coming to the cafeteria to watch, and there won’t be few students wanting to try the taste of the soup dumplings."

"Then I’d better hurry and make more dumplings, or else they’ll run out again."

Jiang Yu’s face tightened, and he couldn’t care about other things. He turned around and went back to the counter to get busy again.

...

"Second brother, you didn’t co all the way to Jiangzhou just to visit at school, right?"

At the school gate, a lithe figure slowly walked forward under the shade of a tree. She wore a white long dress, and her long black hair flowed over her shoulders. Her fresh face slightly turned, she looked at the handso young man beside her with a playful smile and softly asked,

"Did you sneak out without telling the family again? Aren’t you worried about giving grandpa a heart attack?"

She was Lu Shuyao, a junior in the Managent Departnt at Jiangzhou University. Walking next to her was her second brother, Lu Shuwu, the youngest son of her uncle.

These siblings co from a family known for Xiang Cuisine, and their grandfather, Lu Jinseng, was a culinary master hailed as the ’Hunan Cuisine Leader.’ His restaurant, ’Tanzhou Renjia,’ was a renowned Xiang Cuisine restaurant.

A few years back, when Lu Jinseng, in his sixties, discovered that his young grandson Lu Shuwu had a knack for cooking, he imdiately decided to groom him as his successor.

But before he could be too happy, Lu Shuwu refused. He didn’t want to spend his life in a kitchen full of grease and smoke like his grandpa; he just wanted to eat good food worldwide.

This almost drove the old man mad, nearly hanging him up for a good spanking.

Though he didn’t lash out eventually, he beca stricter in his discipline of him.

However, Lu Shuwu was rebellious; the stricter the old man was, the more he wanted to sneak out.

He had snuck off many tis before, each ti infuriating grandpa quite a bit, and this ti, he had definitely snuck out on his own, hiding it from the family.

Unexpectedly, he ended up here in Jiangzhou.

"Cough, cough, little sis, can you not be so smart? It makes look dumb!"

As Lu Shuwu was drinking water, he choked and coughed repeatedly upon hearing this. It took him a while to recover, looking at Lu Shuyao helplessly,

"You know I only like eating, not cooking. I’ve said it countless tis at ho, but grandpa just doesn’t listen; it’s really, really... "

"A rock in a latrine, stinky and stubborn?"

Lu Shuyao blinked mischievously, "All right, I’m going to phone grandpa and tell him you called him stubborn."

"Okay, don’t tease ."

"Alright, I won’t joke around anymore."

Lu Shuyao raised her hand to brush back her hair by her ear, earnestly saying,

"Second brother, you’re in trouble this ti. Grandpa is furious you ran off. He said if he doesn’t see you in two days, uncle will freeze your bank card, and let you experience hardship outside."

"..."

Lu Shuwu’s face froze, and after a while, he dryly said, "If grandpa is that angry, even if I return, it’s not going to be pleasant. So I might as well not go back."

"..."

Lu Shuyao didn’t know what to say for a mont. She knew grandpa didn’t want to cut off the family’s heritage, but she also understood her second brother didn’t want to be a chef; it was sothing she couldn’t persuade him on.

Just like she was sensitive to taste and never touched stinky tofu and century eggs; if anyone tried to persuade her to eat those, she’d resist just as much.

Do not impose on others what you yourself do not desire.

When there was a slight awkwardness between the siblings, Lu Shuyao suddenly noticed they had reached the second cafeteria. She turned her head and smiled like a bloom,

"Second brother, let’s put aside unhappy things and enjoy so good food, alright?"
