So people just wanted to see how Qian Yunfan would "pick it apart," so that when it was their turn, they could just follow his lead and avoid saying sothing embarrassing.
Others couldn’t resist the tempting aroma of the spicy fish head, and were just waiting for Qian Yunfan to finish his critique so they could grab a bite themselves.
A dish that slls this delicious couldn’t possibly taste bad. It might not be as good as Qian Yunfan’s fish head, but at the very least, it should taste much better than what an average chef would make.
Do they really think all those diners are fools? If it was really that bad, this No. 7 Dining Room would’ve been closed down for ages, and no one would be praising it endlessly!
However, whether it was He Dazhuang or the others, they all stared as Qian Yunfan took a piece of fish and put it into his mouth, stared as he closed his eyes...
And then, with a look of pure enjoynt on his face, he just didn’t say a word!
Everyone was dumbfounded. What was going on here?
Did Qian Yunfan choke on the fish? Why else wouldn’t he speak?
What about the critique? Co on, say sothing!
"Lao Qian, don’t just freeze there. Give us your critique. How’s this spicy fish head?"
The others were watching like they were watching a show, not in a rush at all, but He Dazhuang was really anxious.
Damn it, I brought you here to "pick it apart," not to enjoy it. Say sothing already!
Qian Yunfan opened his eyes, glanced around at everyone present, couldn’t help but shake his head, and sighed:
"This, this spicy fish head, is really delicious. I can’t compare."
At this, He Dazhuang was so angry his hair almost stood up. He stared wide-eyed and said:
"You, you, you! You’ve been making spicy fish head for decades, and you can’t even match a twenty-sothing young man?! How do you have the face to be the head chef at Xiangchu Flavor Building?"
"My spicy fish head indeed can’t compare to his, but the Xiang Cuisine you make, even my dog wouldn’t eat it!"
At this, Qian Yunfan couldn’t hold back. I’m not your subordinate, so what gives you the right to decide if I can be the head chef at Xiangchu Flavor Building?
Who the hell do you think you are?!
He Dazhuang was so mad his eyes turned red, and he slapped the table with a loud "bang," stood up, and pointed at Qian Yunfan, roaring angrily:
"Qian, have the guts to say that again?!"
"Say it again? I’d say it ten tis!"
Looking at the furious He Dazhuang, Qian Yunfan wasn’t intimidated at all. He scoffed disdainfully,
"I usually don’t stoop to your level, but you’re really getting full of yourself. To be honest, who do you think you are?!"
"You bastard, I’ll kill you!"
He Dazhuang, tall and quick-tempered, got even angrier hearing this and charged at Qian Yunfan, intent on hitting him. The others quickly rushed over to intervene and persuade him:
"Oh co on, Lao He, you’re not young anymore. Why get so worked up? Calm down, calm down!"
"We all ca here from Jiangxia together. If we start fighting amongst ourselves, won’t others laugh at us? Lao He, don’t be impulsive!"
"That’s right. Calm down, Lao He. And you, Lao Qian, don’t provoke him. It’s not like you t today!"
"..."
The atmosphere in the room, originally quite harmonious, suddenly beca chaotic due to this incident, leaving everyone feeling a bit at a loss.
Xiaosun, the buzz-cut guy who He Dazhuang had appointed to record with his phone, was also bewildered:
So many of them traveled all the way from Jiangxia to Jiang University, weren’t they supposed to be "picking it apart" for the No. 7 Dining Room’s dishes?
The "bones" in the dish haven’t been picked out yet, so how did a "bone" erge among themselves?
