One person might be a coincidence, but when it happens to two people in a row, it’s uncertain.
Jiang Yu was also thinking if it was because of the Gourt System he possessed, that the culinary recipes it provided inherently had this "healing" function?
Because, enjoying good food, is inherently sothing that brings happiness.
Of course, all these were just Jiang Yu’s own speculations, and the Gourt System in his mind wasn’t intelligent. Unlike other main characters from different realms, whose acquired systems can even talk, sothing that makes one envious just thinking about it.
Therefore, he pondered over it again and again but couldn’t figure out whether it was a coincidence or if his cooking truly had healing powers.
However, Jiang Yu didn’t have ti to dwell on this issue because the visiting delegation from Sun Never Sets was coming to the campus today.
Just after lunch, Xiong Bingsheng ca to the Seventh Dining Hall and found Jiang Yu, explaining the general arrangents for the visiting delegation:
"The delegation is expected to arrive at around 2:00 PM. The school will first hold a welco eting and then take them on a tour of the campus. Dinner is scheduled to start at 7 PM sharp.
Since this first al is considered a banquet, Vice Principal He and two other school leaders will accompany them."
Jiang Yu did a quick ntal calculation. With the delegation plus the three accompanying school leaders, it added up to 28 people, which could comfortably fit into two private rooms.
Additionally, with the dinner scheduled at 7 PM, and considering the previously reserved four tables of guests would mostly have finished their als by then, there would be a gap in ti, which ant preparing two tables for the reception banquet wasn’t particularly stressful.
He nodded, glanced at Xiong Bingsheng, and asked, "Since it’s a banquet, does the school have any specific requirents? Like what dishes to prepare or any particular drinks needed?"
"Most of the delegation mbers are students, so let’s skip the alcohol, okay?"
Xiong Bingsheng furrowed his brow slightly, thought for a mont, and said,
"Xiaojiang, didn’t you make so drinks yourself? Let those students have the drinks.
As for the banquet dishes, the school leaders didn’t give specific instructions, but I personally think those foreigners probably don’t eat spicy food, right?"
"Alright, I think I understand now."
Jiang Yu smiled at Xiong Bingsheng and continued,
"Oh, by the way, Teacher Xiong, I’ve recently made so homade fruit wines, like kiwi wine, strawberry wine, and mulberry wine.
The alcohol content of these fruit wines is not high. Would you like to try so, Teacher Xiong?"
Last ti, when Jiang Yu went on a spring outing at the foot of iling with Hu Zhihai, Jia Dequan, and others, they ca across soone selling wild kiwis on the way back. These wild kiwis grew deep in the forests of iling, which were much better than those artificially grown in greenhouses.
Of course, these small wild kiwis didn’t taste as sweet as the cultivated ones, but they were excellent ingredients for making fruit wines. Many people even went to the countryside specifically to collect these wild kiwis for winemaking.
So, with enthusiasm, Jiang Yu also bought so kiwis to make homade fruit wine. The Gourt System had recipes for kiwi wine, and the taste it produced was naturally unbeatable.
Having made kiwi wine, Jiang Yu decided to ask Hu Zhihai to contact suburban farrs to buy a batch of strawberries and mulberries and ended up making three kinds of fruit wines all at once.
By now, these fruit wines had mostly finished fernting.
"You made wine yourself?"
Xiong Bingsheng’s eyes lit up, and he subconsciously smacked his lips, but then quickly composed himself, shook his head repeatedly, and said with so regret,
"I’m still on duty now, how can I drink? Even fruit wine is off-limits. If the leaders sll alcohol on later, that would be terrible."
Jiang Yu couldn’t help but laugh and said,
"Alright then, when you’re about to leave later, I’ll pack two bottles for you to take ho and enjoy at your leisure."
Xiong Bingsheng was overjoyed and repeatedly said, "Then I won’t be polite. Thank you, Xiaojiang."
After discussing the visiting delegation matters, Xiong Bingsheng chatted with Jiang Yu a bit more, then left happily with Jiang Yu’s homade fruit wine.
As for Jiang Yu, he returned upstairs, needing to prepare more for the two additional reception banquet tables for the evening, as so preparations had to be done a bit ahead of ti to avoid last-minute chaos that would ruin the event and cause embarrassnt.
In the hustle and bustle, ti flew by, and it was soon evening.
At this mont, the dining hall on the first floor of the Seventh Dining Hall had gradually quieted down, with only a few students sitting scattered in the dining areas, quietly having their als.
Vice Principal He, along with two school leaders, accompanied a tall, bespectacled foreigner as they walked towards the Seventh Dining Hall, chatting and laughing along the way.
Behind them, a group of about twenty young foreigners followed, conversing in hushed tones amongst themselves, saying things unclear to others.
"Professor Hans, this way, please!"
Vice Principal He turned a corner, leading the group towards the main entrance of the Seventh Dining Hall, introducing it with a smile,
"This is one of our school’s student dining halls, Professor Hans. Do you know? This dining hall was actually established by our students, and in less than half a year, it has already gained significant acclaim.
His understanding of Huaxia cuisine is sothing many top chefs can only aspire to. Later, Professor Hans, you must have a good taste!"
