Although Zhu Yaxue had already decided to write a story about Jiang Yu and his Seventh Dining Hall, she first wanted to verify—

Is the food Jiang Yu makes really as delicious as praised in the comnts section?

If it were in the past, even if Zhu Yaxue wanted to taste Jiang Yu’s dishes, it would have been an extrely difficult task because booking a private room was an insurmountable challenge.

Trying to compete with thousands of diners for one of the re 40 private rooms was as difficult as thousands of soldiers crossing a single-log bridge, incredibly difficult indeed.

But by a stroke of luck, when Zhu Yaxue paid attention to the Jiang University Seventh Dining Hall again, she didn’t expect they were about to launch the "Fans’ Benefit" Peach Blossom Thousand Layer Pastry in a couple of days!

Though there were only 100 portions, it was significantly more than 40 private rooms, and besides, the Peach Blossom Thousand Layer Pastry is a dessert, and many people who don’t like sweets probably wouldn’t participate in purchasing them at all.

This ant that perhaps fewer people would rush to buy the Peach Blossom Thousand Layer Pastry than those trying to book a private room.

If that’s the case, she had a chance to snag a portion of food personally made by Jiang Yu and taste if his creations are really that good.

No matter if it’s delicious or not, she would have sothing to write about, it’s just the difference between writing sothing good or sothing bad.

Zhu Yaxue believed that with a hot topic like "Jiang University Seventh Dining Hall," whatever she wrote would certainly attract many readers, and if she could even stir up so debate among netizens, she might reap even greater benefits!

Thinking of this, Zhu Yaxue felt even more enthusiastic and wished she could fly to Jiang University imdiately, find the location of the Seventh Dining Hall, and interview the young and mysterious Jiang Yu thoroughly.

...

In Shanghai, inside a luxuriously decorated recording studio.

With sweet looks, Xie Siqi was wearing headphones, recording a new song. She had probably been in the recording studio for quite a long ti, and the originally lively and lovely Xie Siqi couldn’t help but show a trace of fatigue and irritation on her face.

"Miss Xie, let’s do it again!"

The sound engineer shouted into the microphone from outside the studio, making a gesture toward Xie Siqi inside.

Xie Siqi took a deep breath, held back her sowhat irritable emotions, and concentrated to prepare for the recording again.

She was recording the lead track "Destiny" from this year’s first music album. This song wasn’t particularly difficult, but it had extrely high demands on rhythm and emotion, making it hard to sing well. She had been recording since ten in the morning and it was nearly three in the afternoon now, often failing to control the rhythm and emotions at certain monts, which frustrated her.

In fact, the issue wasn’t her singing skills but rather her inability to fully imrse herself.

The accompanint slowly played through her headphones, and as soon as Xie Siqi sang a couple of lines, she felt sothing was off. Irritated, she took off the headphones and stepped out of the studio.

Her manager, Sister Wen, who had been waiting outside the studio, quickly approached, handed her a cup of water, and asked with concern:

"Oh dear, my little ancestor, what’s wrong now?"

"Not recording anymore, I’m just not in the right mood today. The more I record, the worse it gets. Let’s wait a couple of days."

Xie Siqi waved her hand irritably, took a big gulp of water from the cup, then let out a long sigh, turned to glance at Sister Wen, and said to her,

"Sister Wen, I need to go ho and get so sleep quickly. I feel like my head is about to explode after singing for hours. You just head back to the company alone; you don’t need to worry about ."

Sister Wen imdiately said, "You’re not feeling well? Then I can’t leave you alone, I’ll take you ho first."

"Really, it’s not necessary. I live nearby, I can just walk back slowly."

Xie Siqi waved her hand at Sister Wen, refusing her offer to accompany her, picked up her bag, and walked out the door. Just before leaving, she told her,

"Sister Wen, I’ll call you in a few days when I feel I’m back in the right state."

With that, she turned around and walked out, leaving Sister Wen standing there dazed.

Xie Siqi’s apartnt was indeed not far from the recording studio. She only needed to cross two streets and pass through a park to reach a high-end community that was calm and picturesque, a piece of tranquility among the bustling urban chaos of Shanghai.

After entering her ho, Xie Siqi kicked off her high heels and walked barefoot with her cute, fair little feet into the living room, dropping her backpack onto the floor next to the coffee table before collapsing onto the sofa, unwilling to move.

Recording actually isn’t that exhausting, but repeatedly making mistakes and singing the sa song for hours on end really gets on one’s nerves, making one irritable and thoroughly exhausted.

After catching her breath collapsed on the sofa, Xie Siqi turned over, looking up as she lay there, and took out her phone from her pocket to send a text ssage to Liu Xining.

Since Liu Xining returned to Shanghai so ti ago, Xie Siqi only managed to et her once, and then the two got busy and didn’t see each other again.

Now that she finally had so free ti and needed to adjust her emotions, she naturally thought of Liu Xining.

After a while, Liu Xining replied with a text: "I’m busy at the office, let’s talk later."

Seeing that Liu Xining was still busy, Xie Siqi felt a little disappointed, but there was nothing she could do about it. In the world of adults, there is never anything "easy."
