He Chunsheng let out a big sigh of relief upon hearing this and nodded heavily.
He’s still young, and naturally, he didn’t want to co to the Seventh Dining Hall just to make buns. He still dreams of becoming a revered pastry chef in the culinary world.
With uncontrollable excitent, He Chunsheng turned and dashed into the prep room, where he joined Xiong Zhengtao and Niu Daqiang, two newly hired chefs, to busy themselves with the prep work.
It was already past eleven, and Jiang Yu and Lu Shuwu each stir-fried a few more dishes. Along with the dishes prepared by the seven other chefs, the canteen officially opened for business.
anwhile, the seven eliminated chefs sat in a private room, sipping the sour plum soup made by Jiang Yu and chatting in small groups:

"Haha, that’s just the test from the canteen here. You can’t really bla yourself. If you were cooking at a hotel, it wouldn’t matter much if things got dirty. It’s not like it’s anything else, just a spatula that wasn’t washed after stir-frying another dish. But here, it’s a student canteen, so the standards are stricter."

The group sat around the table, sighing deeply, with an atmosphere of dejection hanging in the air.
Just then, soone knocked on the private room door, and shortly after, the door opened. A young girl carrying a large tray stepped in:
"Hello everyone, I’m here to serve the dishes."
Approaching the table, the young girl placed the dishes from her tray one by one on the table and then smiled as she asked,
"Oh, would any of you like so wine?"
"No, no need! The sour plum soup is great. We’ll just have this!"
The chefs exchanged glances, and one of them shook his head repeatedly, raising the cup in his hand and speaking.
"Of course, the sour plum soup is delicious; it’s personally brewed by our boss. Everyone at school loves it!"
The young girl slightly lifted her chin, showing a hint of pride on her face, and continued,
"Please enjoy, and there’s more to co later."
