"Xiaolin, do you know what can attract those brats to stop slacking off? Hurry up and tell !"
"I’m not familiar with your students, how would I know what interests them?"
Lin Yahu glanced at him, shook his head with a smile, and said,
"Besides, everyone’s different. So want to win the championship and get into the provincial team, while others just want to make it to the national team...
So, trying to use a single reward to captivate all of them to focus solely on training is pretty tough."
Lin Yahu is currently the coach for high jump and long jump at Jiang University’s track team, while Yin Tao coaches running and race walking. They handle different events, naturally, their student athletes are different as well.
Apart from Liu Xiaohu, Lin Yahu also trains several other athletes in high jump, long jump, and triple jump.
However, Liu Xiaohu’s performance is most likely to win a dal at this provincial sports et, so Lin Yahu focuses more on him.
After all, he hopes Liu Xiaohu can achieve good results in the competition to prove his own coaching abilities.
"According to what you’re saying, is there no way?"
Yin Tao couldn’t help but feel disheartened after hearing this. He pulled over a chair and sat down heavily, gritting his teeth,
"Are we supposed to just watch these kids slack off every day?
If that’s the case, we might as well let them go back to the classroom and learn sothing. At least they’d have a job to fall back on after graduation!"
"If you really want to know, there is one solution."
Lin Yahu lifted his eyelids to glance at Yin Tao and chuckled,
"It’s a good solution, but not easy to implent!"
"What solution? Quick, tell !"
As soon as Yin Tao heard, his eyes lit up. He jumped up from his seat, urging repeatedly,
"As long as this solution works and stops these kids from slacking, making them train their hearts out every day, I’d do anything!"
If his student athletes could indeed perform well at the provincial sports et, coach Yin Tao would definitely benefit, whether it’s a bonus or extra points for promotion.
But such benefits aren’t what Yin Tao truly cares about.
At the end of the day, he cherishes talent too much to watch gifted student athletes waste their talent at a ti they should be striving to improve.
This pains him more than his own career ending because of insufficient talent and pushing himself too hard to make the national team, only to retire due to injury.
"Since you’re so confident, Lao Yin, I’ll tell you."
Lin Yahu smiled at him, speaking slowly,
"It’s actually very simple. Just tell your team that anyone who wins a gold dal at the provincial sports et gets treated to a big al at the Seventh Dining Hall!
I promise, each one of them, no matter the grade or gender, will stop slacking and train as hard as they can!"
"Seventh Dining Hall?"
Yin Tao was montarily stunned but quickly caught on, still a bit skeptical, he asked,
"You an the restaurant on the second floor of the Seventh Dining Hall? Is the big al there really that appealing?"
"Looks like you’ve really never eaten there before, Lao Yin!"
Lin Yahu glanced at Yin Tao incredulously, saying with disbelief,
"If you had eaten there just once, you’d know the food at the Seventh Dining Hall, it’s truly divine!
Forget your athletes, even our school’s leaders crave it!"
