Student part-ti jobs generally don’t have specific requirents, so the entire interview process was very fast; each person only took a few minutes before the next one started.

Even so, Jiang Yu spent an entire afternoon finishing the interviews.

The main reason it took so long was simply because there were so many people. Besides the fifty or so people who ca initially, more people continued to arrive, totaling over a hundred.

Hu Zhihai was dumbfounded. Has finding a part-ti job beco this competitive?

Only five candidates were needed, yet over a hundred ca in, aning one was selected out of twenty people, and this was with the prior limitation to impoverished students!

If all students were allowed to apply, wouldn’t those fighting for these positions squeeze the canteen to the bursting point?

But when he thought about it again, he quickly understood.

This is the Seventh Dining Hall, and it’s Jiang Yu’s canteen. Given the reputation he built at the soup dumpling shop, as long as one ets the qualifications, they’d scramble to get in here no matter what!

Never mind the wages, the biggest allure is the inclusion of three als per day!

Being able to eat such delicious food every day, unless soone’s taste buds are failing, who wouldn’t want to co?

"Finally, it’s over!"

After the interviews concluded, all the students went back to wait for news. Jiang Yu, clutching several application forms, stretched his slightly sore neck while walking out of the store room, complaining to Hu Zhihai, who was waiting outside,

"I really didn’t expect so many students to co for interviews. Are canteen odd jobs now this sought after?"

"It’s not the odd jobs that are sought after, but your food is."

Hu Zhihai stood up and began tidying the tables and chairs that the students had left a bit ssy, jokingly saying,

"You went straight into the room, so you didn’t see it. Before the interviews even started, there were a few people pretending to be impoverished students trying to sneak in for interviews!"

"Really? How did you know they were fakes?"

"They were too unprofessional! They claid to be impoverished students but were wearing big-brand athletic shoes like Adidas and Puma!"

"..."

Jiang Yu was speechless.

When the Seventh Dining Hall opens, it’ll be many tis larger than the soup dumpling shop in the Second Dining Hall, and it’ll definitely be easier to get food than before.

In such circumstances, still pretending to be impoverished...

Is it worth it?

Jiang Yu really couldn’t understand the mindset of these students or their train of thought.

Shaking his head, he stopped dwelling on these matters, handed the application forms to Hu Zhihai, and instructed,

"These are the five part-ti students I’ve selected. Notify them tomorrow morning to head to the CDC and obtain a health certificate, then co to the dining hall on the morning of the 7th.

We need to give them a simple training so every one of them knows what task they should do and how to do it."

"Alright."

Hu Zhihai took the application forms and casually flipped through them, showing a surprised expression,

"Lao Jiang, you’ve picked five people, and four of them are boys!"

"Is there a problem?"

"Definitely a problem! Such a big canteen including Yan Tongtong and Li Yue, there are only three girls, quite too few, don’t you think?"

"We’re hiring to work, not to host guests. What do we need so many girls for?"

Jiang Yu glanced at him, half-smiling, half-serious, and said,

"When a truckload of rice, flour, and ingredients arrives, are the girls going to move them in, or are you?

If you’re willing to move them all by yourself, then it’s okay to replace everyone with girls."

"..."

Hu Zhihai was dumbstruck; it took him a while to awkwardly wave his hands and dryly reply,

"No need for that, physical work is better suited for boys."

Jiang Yu smirked and didn’t say more.

He’s well aware of this chubby guy’s thoughts.

Girls, naturally, are more pleasant to look at than boys!

...

In the following days, Jiang Yu remained very busy.

Although the interior decoration of the Seventh Dining Hall was almost done, there were many other preparations to handle.

Such as inspections from the fire departnt, sanitation, and environntal departnts, applying to the school’s finance departnt for installing campus card readers, sourcing staple supplies like grain, oil, and flour, creating the dining hall nu, etc.

Other tasks are manageable, just needing ti to resolve them, but crafting the dining hall nu is a bit of a headache.

The crucial point is, Lu Shuwu hasn’t returned yet, and Jiang Yu still doesn’t know what dishes he can make. Also, the dining hall still hasn’t recruited chefs, making it even tougher to finalize the nu.

"We can’t lack chefs. If it cos down to it, when Lu Shuwu returns, let him contact his chef acquaintances. His contacts could recomnd a few people to use temporarily."

Jiang Yu couldn’t help but feel a bit frustrated. He’s new to this line of work with no network in the culinary field. Finding good helpers on his own is virtually impossible, so for now, he can only rely on Lu Shuwu.

Hopefully, Lu Shuwu didn’t revel too much at ho and returns a bit earlier.

In the blink of an eye, it was October 7th, the last day of the holiday.

Early in the morning, Jiang Yu arrived at the entrance of the Second Dining Hall, where Boss Zhao from the fresh produce center had a fully loaded tricycle waiting with various ingredients.

Seeing Jiang Yu arrive, he promptly stood up from the roadside, dusted off his pants, approached with curiosity, and asked,

"Boss Xiao Jiang, today’s ingredients are different from usual and in greater quantity. What are you planning to do?

And, isn’t there only six dining halls in school? Where’s this Seventh Dining Hall?"

"The Seventh Dining Hall is newly opened; it’s normal for you not to know."

Jiang Yu smiled at him, then continued, "Co on, let take you to the Seventh Dining Hall. I’ll be opening my store there from now on."

"Moved to a new place?"

Boss Zhao nodded and smiled while getting onto the driving seat,

"That’s good; I might as well take a look to avoid not being able to find you next ti. Co on, sit beside !"

With that, he started the vehicle, slowly driving forward.

Under Jiang Yu’s guidance, the tricycle soon arrived at the entrance of the Seventh Dining Hall.

After parking beside the side entrance, Boss Zhao studied the surroundings carefully and praised,

"This place has a pretty nice environnt, very tranquil all around!"

Jiang Yu couldn’t help but laugh and jokingly said,

"Boss Zhao, are you suggesting that this canteen is secluded, not even a ghost in sight around, and business wouldn’t be good, right?"

"Haha, I didn’t say that."

Boss Zhao looked a bit awkward, though that’s exactly what he ant, he didn’t verbalize it.

He laughed and said, "Good wine needs no bush. With Boss Xiao Jiang’s skills, there’s no need to worry about no one coming to eat!"
