The kitchen of the Seventh Dining Hall was bustling with activity, pots and pans clanging, and the aroma of food wafting through the air, detectable even in the dining hall.

"It slls so good! So fragrant and spicy! Is Senior Brother Jiang cooking?"

"It must be. No one else’s dishes sll this good."

"Ah, just slling this makes suddenly feel so hungry!"

"..."

Yan Tongtong and her group, sitting in the dining hall, were busy jotting down their class schedules so Hu Zhihai could arrange the daily staff roster for the canteen. However, before they even finished, strong aromas kept drifting from the kitchen next door.

Soon, the entire hall was filled with the rich fragrance, causing the eight part-tirs to sit up straight, inhaling deeply as if hoping to taste the food with just their senses.

Yan Tongtong, Li Yue, and Shen Deqing were slightly better off, as they were accustod to Jiang Yu’s cooking. They often got to eat his chopped chili fish heads, so they had sowhat developed a "tolerance," allowing them to remain calm.

But the five new part-tirs weren’t as lucky as Yan Tongtong and the others, who got to enjoy such delicious food daily. Sensing the aroma, they seed lost in reverie, unconsciously beginning to salivate.

Among these five new part-tirs was Chen Fugui, who, previously faking tears in the Second Dining Hall, had ended up actually crying. His real na was Chen Fugui, a junior majoring in Marketing.

Upon hearing that Senior Brother Jiang’s Seventh Dining Hall was recruiting part-ti students with financial needs, Chen Fugui wiped away his tears and rushed to apply that very afternoon.

Seeing the number of applicants, he initially thought he had no chance since he considered himself to lack any special skills. To his surprise, he was eventually selected, which excited him so much that he couldn’t sleep well for a whole night, tossing and turning in bed.

Now, sitting in the spacious, bright dining hall, enveloped by the tantalizing aroma stimulating his taste buds, he felt an overwhelming sense of happiness surrounding him:

Senior Brother Jiang is truly a nice guy!

...

In the kitchen of the Seventh Dining Hall.

Jiang Yu, who had inexplicably received a "good guy card," finished preparing the last dish, Gannan Stir-fried Fish.

The Gannan Stir-fried Fish, steaming on the plate, had golden, translucent fish pieces coated in a thick sauce, glistening in the light with green and red peppers garnishing the dish. Just looking at it made one’s mouth water.

This dish was made with fresh grass carp, cut into pieces after removing the head and tail, then cooked with ginger, shallots, green and red peppers, soy sauce, and rice wine. The fish pieces were tender, fragrant, and slightly sour and spicy, a unique flavor, making it a renowned ho-style dish in Gannan.

The key ingredient for this dish is the special "little wine" of the Gannan Hakka people, also known as sour wine.

The authentic little wine is generally ford by leaving a portion of brewed rice wine by Gannan’s Hakka exposed to air for further ferntation.

Using the unique "little wine" from Gannan to make stir-fried fish results in authentic Gannan Stir-fried Fish. If white vinegar or mature vinegar is used instead, the taste would be entirely different.

After finishing the two stir-fried dishes, Jiang Yu went over to check the electric stear. The Silverfish Stead Egg was ready, but the Rice Powdered at needed more steaming.

He took a clean white towel, dampened it, wrapped it around his hand, opened the stainless steel door of the stear layer holding the Silverfish Stead Egg, and took it out with tongs. He removed the cling film on the large plate and evenly added two small spoons of soy sauce and a pinch of chopped scallions into the stead egg.

This Silverfish Stead Egg was also ready.

"Boss Xiao Jiang, we’ve already put the buns and stead bread in the stear too. They should be ready in a few more minutes."

Ma Guoqiang ca up at this point, took a sniff, glanced enviously at the tender, jelly-like stead egg on the plate, and grinned while saying,

"I think it’s almost noon, and everyone’s probably hungry. Why don’t we eat so dishes first?"

Afraid Jiang Yu might misunderstand his gluttony, he quickly added,

"Heh heh, I just think that the fish, duck, and this stead egg taste best when hot. If they cool down, they’ll start slling fishy."

"Damn! It slls amazing! Lao Jiang, is it ready? Everyone’s starving!"

Before Jiang Yu could reply, Hu Zhihai ca rushing in from the hall, looking anxious. He peered over beside Jiang Yu, his eyes brightening,

"Stead egg! No, there’s silverfish inside! Isn’t this the Xunyang specialty Silverfish Stead Egg? Just the sll alone is wonderful, slurp!

Ah! There are other dishes over there too..."

"Alright, alright, stop looking!"

Jiang Yu grabbed Hu Zhihai, who was about to dash to the stove, and said to him,

"Go buy so beer and drinks. We’ll start eating when you get back!"

"Okay!"

Hearing this, Hu Zhihai imdiately turned to leave. After taking a few quick steps, he halted abruptly, turned back to remind,

"Only start when I get back, don’t let it end up like last ti where suddenly half was gone!"

"Got it, hurry up!"

Jiang Yu chuckled, waving his hand.

This guy still rembered the chopped chili fish incident from last ti!

Soon after, when Hu Zhihai returned, sweating and carrying two boxes of beer and a box of drinks with two part-tirs, Jiang Yu and Lu Shuwu had already set up the dishes on the table.

Everyone sat on either side of the long, joined tables, with the boys each holding a bottle of beer. The girls, more restrained, had bowls ready with drinks. As the boss of the Seventh Dining Hall, Jiang Yu stood up and jovially said:

"Today is the first day the Seventh Dining Hall is open; we’re all family here, so feel free to dig in later.

Starting tomorrow, the dining hall will officially open, and I hope that by then, we’ll all work together to ensure everyone who cos here eats well!

Alright, I won’t say much more. Let’s have a toast first!"

"To a prosperous future for the Seventh Dining Hall!"

As the "invisible" second boss, Hu Zhihai also stood up, holding his beer bottle, shouting excitedly.

"To a prosperous future for the Seventh Dining Hall!"

The others echoed, taking a big gulp of their beer or drink with their heads raised.

Jiang Yu smiled and waved his hand, saying, "Let’s start!"

As soon as he finished speaking, Lu Shuwu, sitting next to him, swiftly grabbed a communal spoon, scooping a spoonful of Lotus Blood Duck into his bowl. He then picked up chopsticks to eat a piece of duck at, instantly flooding his mouth with a fresh, spicy flavor that made his mouth water.

With a slight chew, the duck blood-coated at was fresh, tender, and spicy, leaving him wanting to shout with delight.

This taste is absolutely amazing!
