They imdiately saw that the batch of jiangshi that were attacking this group was much stronger than the ones that they were facing earlier, especially when Arthur and Aoki could clearly sense that there was sothing different about them.
"They seed to be much more intelligent in comparison," mumbled Aoki after seeing the movents of this batch.
At the sa ti, Arthur seed to have sensed sothing before shouting at Leonard. "Leo!"
Leonard, who was also paying close attention to what was happening over there, swiftly moved, jumping off the back of the giant dragon and descending straight to the battlefield at extre speed.

Not long after, shattered fragnts of rocks fell from above like rain, hitting him repeatedly.

These shattered rock fragnts might not be dealing that much damage to him, but the pain that they gave him was a bit too much even for him.

After doing his best at rolling on the ground for a while, the rain of rocks finally stopped and gave him a good while to recover.

While he was resting, Leonard suddenly appeared, falling from the darkness above and causing another loud explosion upon touching the ground.

Leonard did not imdiately respond to him and was currently surveying the surroundings with his extrely sharp and fierce eyes.
He was passively radiating with a powerful and brutal beastly aura that made those around instinctively distance themselves from him.
Even Lawrence, who was not being subjected to such an aura, could not help but subconsciously retreat after sensing bits of the scattered auras filling the air.
He felt like being suffocated under such horrifying pressure. It was as if he were suddenly subrged in the depths of the ocean.
"Huff! Huff! Huff!" he struggled hard to regulate his breathing while also keeping himself from falling.
He only managed to recover himself when Leonard suddenly retracted and suppressed most of the aura that he was passively emitting.
It was also at that mont that Leonard turned toward Lawrence.

His sudden turn gave the latter an illusion of seeing a horrifying primordial beast that was ready to devour him.
"Cough!" Lawrence gave his best, trying to recover as fast as he could.
Leonard did not have ti to worry about the latter's situation because he sensed their surroundings were far from safe.
Within that darkness, he could tell sothing extrely terrifying was hiding there. There were also those smaller ones that he found a bit tricky to deal with.
Leonard was about to walk over and pick Lawrence up when he suddenly sensed a threat coming from behind.

He swiftly ducked forward, dodging a sharp sword that was supposed to cut his head.
Shing!
A flash of light flew over his head, barely escaping such a deadly ambush.

In response, Leonard suddenly turned while tightly holding his pair of war axes. He then swung them hard while making his body spin.
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
It was the standard thod of executing the 'Whirlwind' skill, which was among the most common skills of the Berserker Class.
Unfortunately, he had hit nothing but air due to the quick reactions of his opponent.

However, Leonard would not give up that easily. He forcefully halted his spin with a powerful stamp into the ground.

He then launched himself forward, swiftly chasing after the one who had just ambushed him.

His mobility might not be as flexible as the others, nor his movent speed be able to match the others who focused on this area.

Using this opportunity, the assaulter swiftly retreated, distancing themself away from Leonard as far as they could.
Leonard might have missed his target and did not have enough ti to continue his pursuit, but he at least got a glimpse of his opponent's appearance.
"It is the other guy from the Hydra Guild, huh?" he mumbled after seeing Boa retreat and lding into the darkness.
"I guess I can't afford to lower my guard even for an instant," he added after recalling the earlier exchanges.
They might have only done a couple of exchanges, but it was more than enough for Leonard to understand the gravity of their situation.
That single ambush was more than enough to tell him how dangerous the opposing party was.
He could try to catch him again, but if he continued such a pursuit, he would only play along with the sche that the other party was trying to lure him in.
With such an environnt, the opposing side would surely gain a great advantage in the long run.
Aside from it, he also had to be mindful of Lawrence, who was the true reason why he was here in the first place.
Arthur could not directly make his move due to his sensitive relationship with Lawrence's big brother. They had to be a bit careful about it, so that the opposing parties would not instantly figure it out.

"After all, they can just kill you on the spot just like what happened to Gunner, yet here you are alive and kicking," he added.
He did not bother to suppress his voice since this was such an obvious thing. If it was sothing that he could figure out, then Boa had most likely figured it out as well, especially when the other party belonged to the cunning ones.
A while later, Lawrence suddenly raised his head, seemingly sensing sothing from a certain direction.
Noticing the strangeness of his action, Leonard could not help but ask. "What's it?"
He also raised his head and turned toward the sa direction, but failed to see anything aside from absolute darkness.
"There-… there seems to be sothing calling for from that direction," he whispered while knitting his brows deep.
