Right after logging back in the ga, Shin did not imdiately observe his targets and went to find a corner and sat on it to contemplate.
He was still thinking about the words that the Second Holy Maiden of the Temple of the Moon was trying to find out more about.
He was unable to shake off the feeling that it was trying to point him toward a certain direction. At the sa ti, he also felt that this might be one of the clues that he was looking for.
It took Shin quite a while before he was able to shake off that feeling and regain his usual composure.
Understanding that this had to wait until he t the Second Holy Maiden, Shin had to set it aside and focus on what was right before him.

Swiftly after, he went to his first target, planning to observe the Lizard Warrior once again.
As usual, Shin continued to observe the target for quite a while, looking for the weakness of this creature while waiting for the perfect opportunity to launch an ambush.
Shin first thought that this would be another failure. He was about to give up on the assassination attempt and fight the Lizard Warrior head-on.
After all, he felt that he would only be wasting his ti if he continued like this.
He would rather engage in direct combat with this humanoid monster and look for its weakness that way than wait like this.
However, when he was about to make his move, his True Sight suddenly caught a glimpse of sothing strange coming from the body of the Lizard Warrior, more specifically, at the center of its throat.
Shin could vaguely see that subtle flicker of light coming from it. If not for the reflection of the shield that was bouncing toward its neck, then Shin would have never noticed it.
When he saw this glimr of light, Shin squinted his eyes and focused on that spot at the center of Lizard Warrior's throat.
He later realized that there seed to be an inverted triangular scale situated at it.
Seeing this, his instincts imdiately kicked in and told him that it was most likely the weakness that he was looking for.
He had been stalking this Lizard Warrior for quite so ti now, yet he would only discover its weakness by accident.
"No wonder patience is one of the innate traits of those assassins," he mumbled while preparing to head toward his target.
Since this was an assassination assignnt, he had to prepare and look for the ideal spot where he could launch an ambush at the perfect opportunity.
He had to be quick and precise with his actions, making sure that he would be able to take down his target as soon and as fast as he could.

Swoosh!
After a while, Shin finally found the spot that he was looking for.
This place was one of the areas that the Lizard Warrior regularly visited when patrolling through its territory.
Shin had practically morized the actions and habits of the Lizard Warrior, knowing all its activities throughout the day.
His observation of it had not gone to waste. He knew the route that it was taking during its patrol as well as the timing when it would pass through this area.
While waiting, Shin imdiately entered stealth while controlling his breathing as much as he could. He even applied the turtle breathing technique to make his presence as faint as possible.
On top of this, he had also utilized the phantom techniques that he learned throughout his ti on the first floor, further enhancing his stealth abilities.
With all of these factors together, Shin was able to ld with his surroundings completely, seemingly becoming a true part of it.
Thud! Thud! Thud!
Not long after, he was finally able to hear the heavy footsteps of the Lizard Warrior coming from a distance.
It was walking through the usual path that it was taking during its rounds. It was swiftly sweeping its gaze through the surroundings, using its specialized vision to see through any kind of disguise.
Even the flow of mana could be seen through its eyes, making it almost impossible to overlook anything.
Unfortunately, Shin was currently hiding between a gap of two huge boulders while his phantom disguise made him ld with the dark shade within it.
He was also suspended in the air, avoiding the line of sight of the Lizard Warrior when looking in this direction.
Sniff! Sniff!
The Lizard Warrior suddenly paused, seemingly slling an unfamiliar scent.
Grr!
It imdiately beca wary of its surroundings, taking its battle stances and getting ready for any possible ambush.
Sniff! Sniff!
It then followed the source of this unfamiliar scent, sharply turning toward that direction.
Grr!
A mont later, it saw a figure that was sneakily hiding behind a boulder.
Roar!
Imdiately after, it started charging toward that direction with full aggressiveness.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Its heavy footsteps made the ground tremble, seemingly creating a small earthquake that was limited only to this area.
Boom!
With its shield raised upfront, the Lizard Warrior charged straight to the boulder, making it explode and sending its debris in every direction.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
It then continued to move forward and brandish its huge sword toward the one that was hiding behind that boulder.
Swoosh!
Unfortunately for it, its sword only passed through its target, making its sword only hit the air before crushing toward the ground.
Bang!
In the anti, Shin, who was right behind it, imdiately moved. He first released the rest of his phantoms, letting the charge at the Lizard Warrior and attack from a different direction.
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
The Lizard Warrior imdiately sensed the presence coming from behind and responded. It first swung its tail, targeting the couple of phantoms that almost reached it.
Whoosh!
However, just like its first target, this attack just went through the bodies of the phantoms.
Roar!
Enraged, the Lizard Warrior suddenly went on a rampage, swinging its sword, shield, and even its tail randomly.
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The surroundings were imdiately subjected to a series that the Lizard Warrior's attacks had generated.
The surrounding boulders were crushed into pieces while the ground sank under these attacks. Unfortunately, it still failed to find its real enemy, letting the phantoms continue to swarm at it from every direction.
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
Shin had yet to make his move, only letting the phantoms attack randomly and trying to distract the Lizard Warrior with their actions.
He was waiting for the Lizard Warrior to commit a mistake, which would create an opening for him to strike.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Not long after, his patience had finally paid off.
Roar!
The Lizard Warrior beca crazy due to the annoying phantoms that were swarming around it from every direction. Because of this, it started swinging its sword and shield widely, creating the perfect opportunity that Shin was looking for.
Whoosh!
One of the phantoms managed to slip inside the wide attack range of the Lizard Warrior, attracting its attention.
Roar!
Locking its gaze at this particular phantom, the Lizard Warrior focused its strength on its right arm while covering its sword with a heavy mana that transford into an earthen layer that made the sword longer and wider.
Swoosh!
It could sense an imnse threat coming from this particular phantom, making it focus solely on it.
Swoosh!
Not long after, the Lizard Warrior swung its huge earthen sword with extre speed, slicing through the incoming opponent in an instant.
Boom!
Unfortunately, the attack still went through the body of the phantom, which continued to fly straight to its face.
Whoosh!
It was at this mont that Shin suddenly swapped places with it while unsheathing his sword and stabbing it forward.

The [Yamato] struck the triangular scale at the center of the Lizard Warrior's throat and pierced through its neck.
Roar!
The Lizard Warrior cried in pain right after. It then let go of its sword and shield and swung its arms wildly before slapping straight at its neck.
Swoosh! Swoosh!
Unfortunately, it failed to catch Shin since he had already swapped places with another phantom.
He did not imdiately strike right after, only watching the Lizard Warrior tightly grip its neck and covering the wound that Shin had created to prevent it from bleeding.
Unfortunately, it was already too late that ti.
Thud! Thud!
Bang!
It then continued to take a series of steps back before finally falling on its back.
Seeing this, Shin must admit that such an assassination was quite worth the wait.
It was no wonder the assassins loved these kinds of clean assassination hits whenever they tried to assassinate soone. It was indeed satisfying whenever it was successful.
Shin then walked toward the Lizard Warrior before stabbing it a couple more tis, making sure that he had killed it.
He then went toward the location of his next targets.
