Laz wasn't worried about Jimmy. He was just a normal guy with normal abilities. A guy like that wasn't worth Laz's effort. He was simply hired to do a job. In fact, he would have preferred to have been more low key and not stand out. But there was a problem. Laz couldn't help but shake his head. It seed like every ti sothing like this ca up, there would be a problem.
Laz had sensed it when he had first co outside, but didn't jump to conclusions. After all, there was a large group of people lined up to co in besides the group that Jimmy had brought with him, but Laz took a mont and used his sense to figure it out. There was definitely an infected like him within Jimmy's group of people. That was not good news for Laz.
After making Jimmy fall to his knees, his group of guys started rushing up to attack Laz. At the sa ti, seeing Laz subdue Jimmy so quickly, the security of Waves also felt rather refreshed and a bit hot blooded. Seeing the group of people start to swarm up, the security, including Anthony and Arnold, ca forward as well. It seed like a large group fight was about to take place.
Laz brought up his free hand and brought the security mbers to a stop while using his other hand to squeeze Jimmy's shoulder harder. Jimmy couldn't help but cry out in pain as he felt his bones on the verge of breaking. Laz just looked down at Jimmy.
"Tell them to back the fuck up now," Laz said in a cold voice.
"Stop.....STOP! ALL OF YOU!" Jimmy yelled out.
For the crowd looking on, waiting to get inside, the scene was sowhat comical. Laz was by no ans burly or large, yet he was able to subdue a hulking monster like Jimmy with just one hand, even to the point where he called off his goons. It truly was an eye opening experience. More than one of them had pulled out there cell phones to start taking pictures and videos, which caused the security guards to start forming a line to block the view. At this point the gang was also blocking the view from the fight so there was very little to see. Because of the commotion, almost no one noticed Jimmy making a hand gesture. Laz was probably the only one who saw it clearly.
Laz didn't know what it ant, but he learned soon. The guy in Jimmy's gang who clearly had vibes of the infected ca forward at once and started charging towards Laz. It seed like he had started using his abilities as Laz could finally get a read on him. Turns out this guy was already a peak low level, condensation realm, almost at the mid level. This over all power of his was way lower than Laz's but he still gave off a dangerous feel. As Vivi once told him, you can't always judge a person by their abilities. Just because soone isn't as high level as soone else doesn't an they can't kill soone who is a higher level. When everyone is still this low on the scale, a few levels ans almost nothing. Laz never forgot that bit of advice she gave.
Seeing this new guy charge over, Laz tightened his grip, lifted Jimmy's body up off the ground and threw him back towards Arnold and Anthony. The pressure he used caused Jimmy's shoulder to break along with several other bones, making him unable to do anything but scream out the entire ti. Laz then turned his sights on the guy who was charging over. He had an ugly face with a large nose, sowhat floppy ears and actually looked to be one of the smallest guy sin the group. He wore their typical black leather vest with the snake wrapped around the skull on the back, but it looked like it was way to large for him, almost as though it was designed for a much bigger guy. Although he was running towards Laz, his speed wasn't quick and it took a mont for him to get to Laz. Or at least, with Laz's sense and vision, it felt that way. For everyone else though, it looked like he had run over in the blink of en eye.
Just as Laz thought he would stop when he ca within range, the big nosed, ugly guy just seed to go a little faster, as though intent on running into Laz. Laz just stood there and let him co, interested in seeing what would happen. Just as the guy was about to smash into Laz, Laz got a strange feeling from him. It was like, there was a sudden increase in the air pressure around the front of the ugly man. Laz suddenly got the impression that he wasn't being run into by a person but instead by a bus going at high speed. It was too late for Laz to move since he had waited so long so he could only brace himself on the ground and punch out with his fists, using the Dragon fist punch that he had long neglected.
With the surge in his energy coming forward, Laz was able to keep a layer between him and his attacker, but he was still sent sliding back almost 30 feet before he ca to a stop. Just the montum from the charge caused that to happen while the dragon fist had knocked off a good portion of the oncoming energy. Laz was amazed by this result. He had a tough body that had even been trained in the stone bath, and yet still he was sent flying back that far. Laz couldn't imagine what would have happened if he had taken a direct hit, but he wasn't overly worried.
If Laz was amazed, the mbers of Jimmy's gang were even more so. This guy had joined up only recently but had proved he had so amazing abilities. They all knew what the governnt was saying about these infected, but they didn't care. To them, only strength and influence ant anything. After this new recruit had slamd down the wall of a bank, he was taken to be primary mber of their group. After having seen him take down the steel reinforced walls, seeing him cause a young man to just go flying back left them dumbfounded.
'How the hell?"
'Did that ugly bastard go easy on him since he looks young?'
'You think he wouldn't kill that guy for fucking with the boss? Dream on.'
The ugly guy was the most confused since he knew how hard he had hit him. He had thought that he would crush the guy to a pulp, but the result was not what he had expected. Laz had gained nominal control over his abilities and could hide his resonance thanks to instruction from Vivi. Because of this, the ugly guy had no idea he was an infected.
"What the hell are you?" The ugly guy asked as he watched Laz casually walk back.
"Just a security guard," Laz smiled as he replied. Although Laz was surprised, he wasn't worried now that he had observed the guy's reaction. Looking at Laz with a bit of nervousness, he started to back off slowly which made Laz realize that the guy was basically a coward. Since the first attacked had failed, he didn't know what to do next. Laz couldn't help but wonder how the guy had developed the level that he did.
Just like Laz thought, the ugly guy no longer wanted to fight. Ever since he had developed powers, he had never been stopped before. And when he was able to catch the eye of the gang leader Jimmy, he was automatically given a lot of respect which developed his arrogance. Because of that, he walked around wearing that arrogance like a cloak, doing whatever he wanted. Even when he t others like him, due to a strange event that happened that made him even more powerful, he was usually able to beat others in the first shot, even killing them. But since this guy he just attacked hadn't even been injured in the least, he suddenly felt like he was powerless again. So his first instinct was to run.
Jimmy, knowing that this guy was a wimp, could imdiately figure out the situation. He was able to control him because of his personality and they normally didn't have any problems. Seeing this, he was about to shout out to his guys to kill this kid, when suddenly the sound of police sirens rang out along the street. He knew that there was nothing that would solve this quickly. As such, he simply yelled out,
"Retreat.".
His guys, knowing the police where on their way, ran towards their bikes and started leaving. The ugly guy was no exception. Jimmy just sat there while being restrained by Arnold and Anthony without a care in the world. He had been arrested before and knew that he would get off pretty easy. After all, they hadn't really done anything mostly because they didn't get the chance to. As such, by the ti the police did arrive, Jimmy was the only one left. Arnold ended up talking to the police who carted off Jimmy while everyone else turned their attention back to the club. The whole situation ended as such.
Although Laz didn't feel like this was the right way to end things, he couldn't exactly go and wipe out the whole gang even though he felt like things weren't over. He knew that he would have to be on alert from now on.
Returning back inside, Laz looked out over the crowd of club goers who were still dancing, drinking and dry humping, totally unaware of what had happened outside. Laz returned to doing his rounds until he got a summons from Leo, asking him to co upstairs. Sitting down on the couch across from him, Laz explained what had happened, causing Leo to frown. He wasn't upset at the way Laz handled things, he simply felt the sa way Laz did. He knew it wasn't over. But he didn't have any solutions. As they finished their exchange and Laz was getting up to leave, he suddenly saw a beauty walk by and sit on the couch across from Leo as though she owned the place. Laz couldn't help but catch a rather pained look in Leo's eye and he gently greeted the new arrival.
"Hello Lester."
"Honey. You might be my brother, but I've told from now on to please call Lessa," the beauty responded back in a slightly deeper than normal voice. Laz froze on the spot. This won, who certainly looked beautiful at first glance... was actually a guy. Noticing the strange gaze that was shot at her, Lessa couldn't help but turn towards Laz and giggle, very much amused with Laz's reaction.
"And who is this tempting young thing?" Lessa asked her brother while reaching for a drink that had been offered.
"A new bodyguard I hired. A ranked one," Leo responded back casually. Although Lessa wasn't a part of the business and had no chance to be based on her current lifestyle, she understood what ranked ant. She ended up staring at Laz with a bit of a blank look while asking herself how soone so young looking could be ranked within the family.
"Lazlo mam. But you can call Laz," Laz offered in a pleasant tone. He might had been a bit shocked at first, but he quickly regain his whits. As far as Laz was concerned, he wasn't bother by her being a man or a woman. That was her choice. The only thing he was concerned about would be if she was a friend or an enemy. As such, after giving his greeting, Laz looked over to Leo who just shook his head, as though he knew what Laz was asking. Laz noticed that Leo didn't think his brother was en enemy and relaxed his guard. Just as he was turning around to leave, Laz heard what Lessa said to her brother,
"I want you to let use the club to host a drag night..."
