Once Ms. Luminous joined us, we no longer had enough bedrooms on the second floor.
There were still rooms available on the first floor, so we could deal with it by clearing out the room we were using for storage, but...
Since we had the chance, I decided to generate our third new ho.
The first had been the hut I made when it was just and Chiyu. The second was the house we were using now.
“Seriously? Isn’t this house already pretty huge?”
Uru, now clean after her bath, said that as she sat down.
“We don’t have enough private rooms, and while I’m at it, I figured I’d rebuild everyone’s rooms a little bigger.”
“And Master’s bedroom as well, yes.”
Roa, the maid, spoke up as though relaying sothing very important.
“Mm. I agree. But it does feel a little sad.”
“Yeah. I have a lot of mories in this house too.”
“We really did have... a lot happen here.”
Chiyu, Shion, and Shouko—the girls who had shared their first {N•o•v•e•l•i•g•h•t} ti with —said that while looking my way.
“Uh... The sa goes for the first hut, but I’m not deleting it. I’m just putting it into Inventory, so it’ll be fine.”
We had more than enough materials too.
“As long as I can spend ti with everyone, I don’t mind what kind of house it is.”
That was Minori.
I thought I caught a hint of sulkiness mixed into her voice, but maybe I was imagining it.
Tonight was Minori’s turn.
Maybe she felt as though she was lagging behind the other three for the mont.
“I don’t plan to make so massive mansion. If it gets too big, moving around inside the house will beco a pain. But I want to hear everyone’s opinions.”
At the point where we were a household of nine and everyone needed a room of her own, it was already guaranteed to be a fairly large house, but still.
“Hmm. Since we’ve got more girls now, maybe make the bath bigger?”
Shouko folded her arms and managed to squeeze out a suggestion.
“That makes sense. Let’s do that.”
Since I was the one who filled the bath with hot water, it was hard to set things up so anyone could go in anyti.
If we did, I would have to replace the water every ti it seed like it was getting cold.
I didn’t mind doing it, but the won in our household would probably feel bad about making .
Maybe that was why the girls still bathed all together at once, but as of today, there were eight of them.
I had originally made it fairly large with a hot spring in mind, but making it a little bigger might not be a bad idea.
“In that case, could I ask you to make the kitchen bigger too? Originally, you made it for , but now Roa helps as well. Chiyu joins in a lot too.”
“Got it. I’ll do that.”
Instead of an ordinary ho kitchen, I would make it bigger, more like a restaurant kitchen.
Shion’s cooking was one of the great pleasures of life on this deserted island, so that much was nothing.
“...In that case, I’d be happy if we had a library. We only have textbooks for now, but we could gradually increase the number of books, make it a place where people can look through our deserted-island materials... and use it when they want to study.”
That was a very Minori idea.
“Yeah, having a quiet place to study would be good.”
In our own rooms, we could only study alone, and the living room could get noisy.
A place where everyone could use the textbooks without anyone monopolizing them would definitely be useful.
“Then how about the opposite? A room for playing?”
Uru said it with visible excitent.
“Playing how?”
“Hmm. You know, sothing fun?”
“Go run around in the field, then.”
Yukai cut coldly into Uru’s vague suggestion.
“Oh, then maybe I’ll go running with Serina.”
“Don’t drag into it.”
“You an sothing like making a gymnasium so we can play badminton or table tennis?”
I wasn’t especially good at either, but I felt like I understood wanting to play them once in a while.
“That works! Oh, and bowling?”
I felt like I understood what Uru was getting at.
She was probably wondering if we could set up sothing like the gas at a famous amusent facility.
“For bowling, soone would have to manually put the pins and balls back in place here. ...Could billiards work?”
“That’d be great! Also, I want that! I want to play cards at one of those casino-style tables!”
I had never actually been to a casino, but I understood admiring the ones you saw in movies and the like.
“As a teacher, I would have to stop gambling...”
“What are you talking about, Lumi? This is another world, this is a deserted island, and we’re not betting money. No problem at all, right?”
“Urk... W-well, perhaps that is true, but...”
“Co on, Ms. Luminous. It hasn’t rained on this island yet, but that doesn’t an it never will. I’d been thinking we needed ways to pass the ti inside the house when that happens, so I think a ga room is a good idea.”
Video gas were an option too, or everyone watching dramas and ani together, but having more choices wouldn’t hurt.
And this had given a new perspective too.
“Hey, Sousuke. I just thought of sothing. If our physical condition carries over, then if we practice sports we’re bad at here until we get good at them, we could go back to Japan and suddenly do great in gym class, couldn’t we?”
Apparently, Shouko had realized the sa thing I had.
“Right. It isn’t just studying.”
We could gain all kinds of experience on this deserted island.
Even gas—what people called “completionist grinding”—took ti, but even if we practiced for hundreds of days here, no ti would pass on Earth.
The sa went for sports.
We couldn’t change our original aptitude or talent, but we could secure the ti to put in effort.
Maybe building a gymnasium really was worth considering.
Well, for now, the house ca first.
“...Uru, you keep asking Kuno for all this stuff. Can you actually pay him back?”
“Heh heh heh. You’re too naive, Serina. I’m fully planning to thank him properly.”
Uru grinned as though she had a sche ready.
“...Right. I don’t want to hear the details, so don’t tell .”
“Actually, how are you planning to pay him back, Serina? Your barrier ability is super amazing, but have you really paid everything off?”
“...Shut up. I’m thinking about all kinds of things too.”
“Y-yes, of course... One must always consider whether one’s contributions are worthy of such generous treatnt.”
Ms. Luminous, who had been listening to Uru and Yukai talk, murmured sothing to herself.
“Any other suggestions?”
Chiyu smoothly raised her hand.
“Oh, Chiyu. What kind of facility do you want?”
“I want to spend ti in the sa room as So-kun.”
The instant she said it, Shouko reacted with, “Isn’t that cheating!?” Shion imdiately followed with, “If that’s allowed, I’d like to be with you too,” and Minori added, “I-I would too...”
Even Roa started saying, “Then, if I may, please build a standby room imdiately next door so that I may respond to Master’s needs at once...”
In the end, I decided to separate my private room and bedroom with a door, making them two different rooms, and to allow anyone to enter my private room.
If people were allowed to barge all the way into my bedroom, it could cause all kinds of problems.
After I sohow got everyone to calm down, we worked out the details again.
Then, to generate our new house, everyone headed outside.
