Every night, sothing was added to the deserted island.
Whatever that sothing was, it was presented as one of two choices and decided by the students’ vote.
Sotis it had been at or fish. Sotis water sources or mines. Sotis chicken eggs or milk.
And on the night of the eighth day—
“H-Horoom teacher or assistant horoom teacher... Does that an the teachers from our class?”
Minori said in confusion.
Everyone probably felt the sa way.
“Um... our class’s horoom teacher is Da-yama, right? The assistant horoom teacher is...”
Da-yama was a stern-looking, middle-aged male teacher with a bit of a belly.
He did not really feel like a passionate, hot-blooded type, and he kept a moderate distance from the students, so I did not dislike him, but...
“The assistant horoom teacher is Ms. Asahi Tanbi.”
Shion picked up right when Shouko trailed off.
“...Mm. That teacher is a powerful enemy. She’s the only one with bigger breasts than . She might steal So-kun’s gaze.”
“Hey.”
Chiyu, this was not the ti for that.
Though it was true that Ms. Tanbi, our assistant horoom teacher, possessed a figure that surpassed even my childhood friend’s ample chest.
I was pretty sure Ms. Tanbi had just graduated from university, so she was probably around twenty-two or twenty-three.
She still felt like a very fresh new teacher, but we had been transferred to the deserted island before we could really interact much with either her or Da-yama, so I did not know the details.
“I believe an adult’s presence would have been necessary in the early stages of the transfer... But why now?”
Roa said.
She had a point.
“Having one show up and try to take charge now would honestly just be annoying.”
Yukai’s words were cold.
We did not know who the teacher would join up with, but the students had already survived eight days.
If so adult who appeared out of nowhere tried to join in and take command, there would probably be people who resented it.
Maybe that awareness was at work, because the votes were heavily favoring the assistant horoom teacher.
Our class had twenty-three girls and seventeen boys, so if opinion split by gender, the girls would win. But almost no one was voting for the horoom teacher.
Maybe it had nothing to do with boys or girls, and people simply preferred the female assistant horoom teacher if they had to choose one.
“Sousuke, what do we do?”
“Honestly, I feel like either one is fine. But if I think of it as dragging whichever one we choose into this deserted island life, then I feel bad no matter which we pick.”
“That’s true. Our choice is essentially the sa as choosing the next victim...”
“When you put it that way, choosing Ms. Tanbi might make feel worse...?”
Minori and Shion reacted to that.
A middle-aged male teacher and a female ✪ Nоvеlіgһt ✪ (Official version) teacher in her early twenties.
Setting aside the rudeness of judging by age and gender, if we were thinking about being thrown onto this deserted island, would Da-yama not have a sowhat easier ti managing?
That was one possible way to choose.
“I have a question. In what state will the chosen teacher be sent here?”
Chiyu said while looking at the mystery blackboard.
In the sa state as all of you.
All of us had been sent to the deserted island in the state we had been in on a certain specific day.
And when we returned, we would apparently return without any ti having passed.
In that case, we should assu the teachers being summoned now would be transferred from the sa tiline as us.
In other words, they would not be brought from so “future” ti after a mass coma incident had caused a huge uproar. The teacher would be brought from the sa ti period when we fell asleep and saw that first dream.
“Is there no difference between them and us?”
No. The question asked of the selected teacher will include the note: “Assu that the students of your class have already been transferred.”
I see.
So after “If you could bring one thing to a deserted island,” they would also be told that the students had already been transferred there first.
“In that case, there’s a chance they’ll choose sothing useful on the assumption that the students are already there.”
I nodded at Shion’s words.
“Up to now, excluding monsters, the things added have improved our living environnt. In this case, how will this two-choice result work?”
Minori asked an additional question.
That will be explained after voting ends.
For now, it seed we had to choose one or the other.
“...No point agonizing over this. Everyone, vote for whichever one you prefer.”
The result ca out soon after.
A majority has been exceeded, so voting is now closed.
Starting on the ninth day, “assistant horoom teacher” will be placed in the environnt.
About Additional Transfer Participants
If an additional transfer participant is added to a party, the following benefits will be obtained:
The added amount of “survival bonus” for all party mbers will be doubled.
The amount of points obtained from monster defeats will be doubled.
The number of Rights to Return obtained when clearing an event will increase by one.
“Wha—”
There were benefits to adding the additional transfer participant—in this case, the assistant horoom teacher—to our group!
Maybe it was ant to make us more willing to accept them, after anticipating our resistance to a newcor.
But I still did not know why they were adding a new transfer participant in the first place.
No, maybe it was simply another new stimulus, just like the monsters.
“The survival bonus... That was the benefit where your real-world lifespan extends by one day for each day you live here, correct? Then by adding Ms. Tanbi to our party, our lifespans would extend by two days for each day...”
Minori said with a thoughtful look.
If we survived ten days, we would have gained ten extra days of lifespan.
If we added Ms. Tanbi, then over ten days, that would beco twenty days’ worth of lifespan gained.
“We don’t know how many points monster defeats give in the first place, right? Even if it doubles, don’t we still not really know how much we’re getting?”
Shouko was right. That benefit was harder to understand.
Apparently, we would not learn our total acquired points until we returned.
“I think getting one extra Right to Return per event if we win with the teacher included is a good deal... but there’s also no guarantee the teacher won’t return the first ti she gets one.”
Yukai made a complicated face as she said that.
True. There was a possibility she would leave the students behind and return ho.
“Even so, increased gains are very attractive.”
After watching the gas I played, maybe Chiyu was drawn in by the words “increased gains.”
While everyone was thinking about the assistant horoom teacher being added, I asked the mystery blackboard about the event.
“Hey. The rule is that Rights to Return can’t be transferred, but what happens if soone who already has one obtains another?”
That was what I wanted to ask.
In gas and the like, duplicates often ca with so kind of relief asure.
Sotis they could be converted into in-ga currency. Sotis there was a function to trade them with other players. In social gas, duplicates were often used to strengthen a character.
Multiple Rights to Return may be held.
If soone returns while holding multiple Rights to Return, the duplicates will be converted into an equivalent amount of points.
Also, transfer becos possible only when multiple Rights to Return are held.
However, please note that transfer must be done free of charge, and no benefits will be obtained from it.
“Then there’s no problem with participating in the next event. Of course, if I end up with an extra, I’ll transfer it to another companion, so don’t worry.”
When I said that, everyone except Yukai nodded as if to say, We know.
It made happy that they trusted , and a little embarrassed too.
“...Are you sure? Just surviving one day on this island increases your lifespan, you know? Considering how rare a Right to Return is, I think it would be worth a lot of points. You might be able to improve your real-world environnt, your own body, or all kinds of things. But if you transfer it, you get nothing. There’s no benefit for you, Kuno.”
“I an, I’d be lying if I said it wouldn’t feel like a waste. But as for benefit... or rather, as for my reason, I do have one.”
“...What?”
“Going ho together with everyone is more important. That’s all.”
“............I see.”
Yukai looked at like she was seeing so strange creature.
I did not feel any disgust from her. She probably just could not asure my true intentions.
I understood that so people would find this hard to comprehend, but it was a question of priorities.
Considering how absurd this island was, the benefits from points might very well be extraordinary.
Maybe they could alter reality and make tall and handso, make my family rich, guarantee my future success, or make wildly popular with the opposite sex.
But if I had to choose between any one of those things and one of my companions, I would choose my companion.
For instance, if Chiyu did not have a Right to Return, I did not want to hesitate over giving her my duplicate.
Well, whether I could obtain an extra one in the first place would depend on future events.
The ninth day will now begin.
My vision began to dye white.
When I woke up, the first thing to discuss would be... whether or not to search for our assistant horoom teacher, Ms. Tanbi.
