Kong Yu posted a new update on Weibo.

But things still didn’t go as he expected.

His last post had gained him over a hundred thousand followers in just two days.

Many people had joined him in denouncing Lianhua Granules and traditional Chinese dicine.

He had mistakenly thought he was a standard-bearer, that with a single wave of his flag, supporters would flock to him from all directions.

After he sent out the new post,

not only did no one agree with him, but he was t with nothing but suspicion and curses.

@Angry Sister Liu: What? Did you get bought out by the pharmaceutical company? Just two days ago you were cursing them out, and now you’ve done a complete 180? Do you take us for fools?

@ProgramrWhoDoesntBelieveInTears: Heh, so overnight it went from "scam garbage" to "Divine dicine"? You sure changed your tune fast. How much did they pay you? Dare to show us the receipts?

@InnocentLittleFairy: WAHHHH, liar! You’re all liars! My mom took to the hospital yesterday, I almost died, and now you’re telling there’s a Divine dicine? Who are you trying to kill?

@ClearWindBrightMoon: These shills are truly shaless. They’ll even stage this kind of clumsy "reversal" drama just to promote a new drug. Don’t believe him, everyone. We must boycott this false advertising.

The comnt section was a sea of curses. Kong Yu was accused of being a "shill" and "bought out," suffering an overwhelming barrage of doubt and attacks.

No one believed him. Everyone thought he was a liar driven by profit.

His follower count plumted.

In just half an hour, he had lost over thirty thousand followers.

Kong Yu looked at the malicious comnts, his heart filled with a sense of injustice.

’I’m just sharing my own experience! I just want to tell everyone about a dicine that really works! Why doesn’t anyone believe ?’

Kong Yu was heartbroken.

But he wasn’t defeated.

The negative comnts online, instead, ignited the competitive spirit deep within him.

He knew he hadn’t been bought out. He just wanted to share the truth so more people could benefit.

Kong Yu took a deep breath and closed Weibo.

His physical recovery had refilled him with strength. He was going to use his own actions to prove the true effectiveness of Lianhua Suanzaoren Granules.

The next day, Kong Yu showed up at the office full of vigor, as if he’d never had the flu at all.

He walked into the office, but his colleague in the next cubicle, Liu Anquan, looked sickly and lethargic. His face was flushed, his nose was running, and he let out a few suppressed coughs from ti to ti.

"Brother Safety, you caught it too?"

Kong Yu asked with concern.

Liu Anquan waved a hand weakly. "Ugh, don’t even ntion it. Too many people in the office have colds lately; it’s impossible to avoid. I’ve been like this for two days. I took Lianhua Granules, but they didn’t help at all."

The mont Kong Yu heard the two words "Lianhua Granules," he imdiately perked up.

He knew this was a great opportunity.

"Brother Safety, listen to . Stop taking those Lianhua Granules; they’re useless. I took them before, and they just made sicker. Then I switched to a different dicine called Lianhua Suanzaoren Granules, made by Ding’s Pharmaceutical Factory. I took just one dose, and I was mostly better the next day."

Kong Yu recomnded enthusiastically.

Liu Anquan gave him a skeptical look. "Lianhua Suanzaoren Granules? ’Lianhua’ again? Xiao Kong, are you moonlighting as a shill? Weren’t you just trashing Lianhua Granules online? How did it suddenly beco a ’Divine dicine’?"

Hearing this, Kong Yu knew he had been misunderstood again.

But he didn’t bother explaining too much. Instead, without another word, he rushed over to his locker and took out the Lianhua Suanzaoren Granules he had brought to the office that day.

He wasn’t fully recovered yet and was still taking the dicine.

He took out a small packet, tore it open, and poured the contents into a disposable cup. He walked to the water cooler, expertly mixed a dose, and then brought it to Liu Anquan. "Brother Safety, I can’t explain it clearly. Just drink this right now. If it doesn’t work, or if you feel even worse, I’ll buy you lunch for a month."

Liu Anquan stared at Kong Yu, finding it hard to believe. "For real?"

Kong Yu nodded. "Of course, it’s for real."

Liu Anquan laughed. "Alright then. I was just worrying about how expensive lunch is."

He took the cup and drank it all in one go.

As the liquid went down his throat, Liu Anquan felt a cooling sensation spread straight to his lungs.

Then he went back to work. After finishing a large block of code, he stretched his back.

He suddenly realized that his stuffy nose was gradually clearing up, and his breathing was becoming smoother.

Paying closer attention, he noticed the sharp pain in his throat had also eased considerably.

What surprised him most was that his coughing had also subsided quite a bit during the past half-hour of work.

"Huh? This dicine... it actually seems to be working!"

Liu Anquan looked at Kong Yu in astonishnt.

"See? I wasn’t lying, was I?"

Kong Yu grinned smugly. "Take two more doses, and you’ll definitely be fine by tomorrow!"

Before leaving work, Liu Anquan asked Kong Yu for another packet and took it.

That night, he slept soundly.

When he woke up the next morning, his cold symptoms were mostly gone. His fever had broken, and his cough had almost disappeared.

He arrived at the office looking revitalized. Seeing Kong Yu, he said happily, "Xiao Kong, you really helped out big ti. I took two doses last night, and when I woke up this morning, I felt mostly better. This works way better than any of the other dicines I’ve taken. What do you want for lunch today? It’s Brother Liu’s treat."

Kong Yu’s eyes lit up. "Aweso! A new barbecue place just opened downstairs. Want to go try it for lunch?"

"No problem."

Liu Anquan agreed.

During lunch, the two of them ate heartily.

While they were chatting, Kong Yu brought up how he was being attacked online and cursed out of anger, "Those people are a bunch of idiots. They can’t tell right from wrong..."

Liu Anquan said, "You can’t bla them entirely. All those ’experts’ hyped up the other stuff, and it ended up being useless. Anyone would be angry in that situation. When I have a mont, I’ll go post in your support."

"That would be great."

After lunch, Kong Yu dragged Liu Anquan back to the office, eager to post again and prove he was right.
