"Xiao Ya, I was wrong. It was truly just a mont of weakness..."

The mory of Xiao Fei crying and begging for her forgiveness the first ti he’d ssed up was still as clear as yesterday.

For the sake of her newborn daughter, she had chosen to forgive him.

"Dr. Gu? Patient number three has been waiting for a long ti..." a nurse reminded her, poking her head in.

Gu Xiaoya snapped back to her senses and took a deep breath. "Let him in."

But her mind wasn’t on her patients at all.

Just a few days ago, she had discovered new evidence—it turned out she had been a fool all along.

The conversations that man had with soone else were like a knife twisting in her heart.

What made her despair even more was that when she’d confronted him, Xiao Fei had just said coldly, "We haven’t had feelings for each other in a long ti. Let’s get a divorce. The house and car are my prenuptial property, and the child should stay with , too."

Gu Xiaoya’s heart turned completely cold.

She wanted revenge!

She would never let that damn couple get away with this!

Even if it wasn’t for her own sake,

she had to get her child back.

If her daughter ended up with that damn couple, she couldn’t even imagine how they would treat her.

...

During her lunch break, Gu Xiaoya locked her office door and dialed her lawyer friend’s number.

"Evidence. I need evidence of his cheating," she said, gritting her teeth. "Otherwise, the court won’t grant custody of our child."

"It would be best to have visual evidence—photos or videos would both work," the voice on the other end of the line sounded extrely professional. "If you can produce ironclad proof of his long-term betrayal, it will be even more helpful for your case."

After hanging up, Gu Xiaoya leaned back in her chair, exhausted. A look of helplessness crossed her face.

As an ophthalmologist, her daily life revolved around patients and dical matters; she had absolutely no way of gathering such evidence.

A knock ca from outside the office. She quickly wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes. "Co in."

It was a nurse delivering a boxed lunch.

Gu Xiaoya thanked her but had no appetite at all.

She opened her computer and, as if guided by so unseen force, searched for "how to catch a cheater and gather evidence."

The ridiculous suggestions that popped up on the page made her smile wryly. ’Install a GPS tracker?’

’Hide a recording pen in my husband’s clothes?’

’How could a conventional, by-the-book doctor like ever pull off these movie-like stunts?’

...

Li Xu decided to go catch them in the act.

He closed up his clinic.

He glanced at the ti: 8:40.

He had an hour and twenty minutes until ten o’clock.

Plenty of ti.

He first went to buy a recording pen, then took a taxi to Dragon City Imperial Garden.

Dragon City Imperial Garden was a high-end villa complex in the suburbs. The area was quiet and secluded, and the main gate’s security used facial recognition. Non-residents couldn’t get in at all.

Li Xu got out of the taxi outside the complex, circled Dragon City Imperial Garden, found a hidden corner, slung his prepared gear over his shoulder, and made his way to the back wall of the complex.

Although the security was tighter than a typical residential community, a lack of incidents ant there were plenty of loopholes to exploit.

Li Xu easily scaled the periter wall.

He wandered through the complex.

He quickly found villa L2-103.

The villa L2-103 ntioned in the intel was on the very edge of the complex, and just outside its back wall was a dense greenbelt.

There was a tall osmanthus tree with lush branches and leaves, perfectly positioned to block the line of sight.

He agilely climbed the tree, adjusted his position, and had an unobstructed view of the bedroom through the second-floor French window.

Li Xu climbed back down again.

Then he placed the recording pen in a hidden spot by the second-floor bedroom window, turned it on, and climbed back up the tree to wait.

At exactly ten o’clock, a black rcedes slowly drove into the villa’s garage.

Xiao Fei got out first, dressed in a sharp suit and wearing gold-rimd glasses, looking every bit the elite.

But his slightly chubby build and plain features undermined the image.

Li Xu muttered in the tree, ’If I wore that outfit, I’d be a hundred tis more handso than him.’

The one who got out next was a young woman, who must be Dong Yingying.

She was young, but not pretty in the slightest.

Her face was so pale it looked like she’d just dunked it in a flour bin, her blush was as red as a ripe monkey’s ass, and her eyelashes were as thick as tiny fans.

Her lipstick was a ghastly Barbie purple.‌

With her uniquely shaped rings and a small purse covered in chains... she was a textbook try-hard.

After she got out of the car, she trailed behind Xiao Fei.

Li Xu shook his head repeatedly.

’These two really have terrible taste.’

’The man’s not handso, and the woman’s not beautiful.’

’Especially Xiao Fei...’

Li Xu had looked up Gu Xiaoya’s information online and seen her photo.

She was a very beautiful doctor.

’How could Xiao Fei abandon such a beautiful wife for a try-hard like that?’

’’The grass is always greener on the other side, huh? But this patch of grass is more like a pile of weeds...’’

While Li Xu was lost in his thoughts,

Xiao Fei and Dong Yingying entered the villa and soon appeared on the second floor.

"Brother Fei, the window isn’t closed..." Dong Yingying reminded him.

"What’s there to be afraid of? There’s no one here," Xiao Fei said as he walked over. "Let see what brand your lipstick is."

...

「One minute later.」

Li Xu had just gotten a little interested.

Everything in the bedroom ca to an abrupt halt.

’Holy shit! That’s it?’

’The bastard’s pathetically weak.’

’And I just started recording, too.’

’What on earth does Dong Yingying see in him?’

Li Xu was speechless.

He continued recording.

...

A mont later, Dong Yingying, leaning against the headboard, suddenly said, "I’m pregnant."

Xiao Fei was startled. "Really?"

"Mhm, I found out last week," Dong Yingying said with a pout. "You said you’d divorce her and marry . What now?"

Xiao Fei was silent for a mont, then suddenly smiled. "Isn’t this a good thing? We can use this as an opportunity to force Gu Xiaoya to sign the papers."

"But that’s what you said last ti..." Dong Yingying pushed him away, dissatisfied. "And what happened? You’ve dragged it out until now!"

"This ti is different," Xiao Fei said, pulling her into an embrace. "I’ve already found a lawyer. The house and car are my prenuptial property, so she won’t get a single cent. The court will give custody of the child, too. She’s an ophthalmologist; what ti does she have to take care of a kid?"

Listening to this, Li Xu felt a surge of anger, but his hands never faltered as he kept recording their conversation.

SMOOCH SMOOCH~

Dong Yingying rewarded Xiao Fei, then changed the subject. "What about my thesis? It wasn’t well-written, so it didn’t pass the review."

Xiao Fei frowned. "I don’t really understand your topic. What did Teacher Xue say? Didn’t he give you any guidance?"

"A paper that can pass review is very difficult to write, and Teacher Xue doesn’t have ti!" Dong Yingying stomped her foot anxiously. "If I can’t produce a paper by the end of my residency, I won’t even be promoted to attending physician!"

At this,

Dong Yingying said angrily, "I actually had a chance to be an author on a paper in *Dragon Country Virology*, but it fell through because of so bizarre twist of fate..."

"What happened?"

"So clinic doctor nad Li Xu got lucky and perfected the Clearing Qi and Stabilizing Blood Formula... It pisses off so much."

Xiao Fei comforted her. "A doctor from so community clinic dares to ss with us? I’ll get even with him for you later."

"Holy shit!"

Li Xu was dumbfounded as he listened.

’So this is what Teacher Xue Shuheng was talking about a while ago.’

’This damn couple wants to co after , too?’

"Heh."

Li Xu was extrely glad he had co to film this.

’You two won’t have a "later." I’m going to utterly destroy your reputations.’

Li Xu focused on recording the video.
