Chapter 1021: Chapter 1021: Moving Out
Jiang Xiyue’s parents moved away from their hotown many years ago, started looking for work, and have been renting here ever since, with the rent increasing every year.
However, compared to those rents in the city center, it’s still much cheaper.
Now Jiang Xiyue stands at the old landlord’s doorstep, knocking. Soon, a fifty-sothing-year-old man opens the door and sees it is Jiang Xiyue, knowing she and Zhu Guiyue have returned.
But, when he heard Zhu Guiyue had cancer, he was most afraid that she would die here and even wanted to kick her out long ago.
It was only because Jiang Xiyue was taking her mother to the hospital outside for treatnt off and on, and most of the ti they were in the hospital, that the old landlord had not said anything.
However, he feared the mother and daughter would suddenly co back to live, so he cut off the water and electricity.
Just now, he heard they had returned, and in a big Range Rover no less.
It seems Jiang Xiyue might be involved with a wealthy person.
“What’s the matter, Xiao Yue?”
The old landlord asked.
“Uncle, my mom is back to stay, but I found the water and electricity were cut off. I want you to turn on the power and water mains.”
Jiang Xiyue said.
“The power and water mains? They’ve just been cut off these days.”
The old landlord said.
He was still scared that Zhu Guiyue didn’t die in the hospital but would die here in the rented room, making it hard to rent out the entire block, and how would he have money?
Jiang Xiyue found it strange. How could the water and electricity be cut off?
She even heard the outside air conditioners running.
Yet her mother had prepaid the rent. How could they live without water and electricity now?
“Uncle, my mom is okay now. Please turn on the water and electricity!”
Jiang Xiyue said.
But the old landlord would never believe it; a cancer-stricken Zhu Guiyue on the verge of dying is suddenly okay? It must be a last mont of lucidity before dying. He was afraid she did not want to die in the hospital but here instead.
The old landlord said nothing more, closing the door directly.
When Jiang Xiyue wanted to say more, she had no choice but to go ho.
Ye Qiu was sitting there for quite a few minutes and realized Jiang Xiyue hadn’t returned. When he saw her coming in, she looked dejected.
“The old landlord won’t turn on the power and water mains. He must fear my mom’s illness isn’t better.”
“Isn’t the environnt too bad? Why not find another place?”
Ye Qiu asked.
Such rental rooms in urban villages are always dirty, ssy, and poor. Especially in this suburb, the environnt might be even ssier.
Ye Qiu would really not want to stay in such a place.
“Actually, I live near my company, and I rent a small suite with a colleague. But it only has one bedroom and one living room, so my colleague and I take turns sleeping in the bedroom and the living room. I want to bring my mom over to take care of her because it’s inconvenient for that colleague.”
Jiang Xiyue had long wanted to move her mother near her workplace, to make it convenient to take care of her mother and also to go to work.
Otherwise, if her mother was here alone in the urban village and sothing happened, she wouldn’t know.
However, although her mother’s illness was completely cured, she hadn’t fully recovered and still needed rest.
“Pack up the important stuff for you and your mom, leave the rest behind. I’ll find a new place for you and your mom to live.”

Jiang Xiyue didn’t expect Ye Qiu to again arrange for her a place to live.
Could it be to live at his house?
Jiang Xiyue felt a bit embarrassed.

Jiang Xiyue knew that faced with the domineering Ye Qiu, she could only comply.
Back in the room, she packed up her important belongings. After living there so many years, the room inside and out was stuffed with things. But speaking of valuable items, there really wasn’t anything, just so trivial everyday items.
Jiang Xiyue packed her own things in the room before helping her mother pack so of her belongings.
Ye Qiu had already taken out his phone to call Consultant Luo.
Consultant Luo, seeing it was a call from Ye Qiu, knew it was a big client, despite making a mistake when renting a place for Liu Xia and Xiao Hong last ti.
“Mr. Ye, I am Consultant Luo.”
“Please find a set of comrcial housing with an elevator.”
After Ye Qiu specified the location.
Consultant Luo asked, “Mr. Ye, are you planning to buy or rent?”
“Check out the places first, buy if it’s suitable, rent if not.”
Consultant Luo couldn’t quite figure it out.
But with business coming in now, he imdiately put his work aside to find a suitable house for Ye Qiu.
“Got it.”
Jiang Xiyue ca out and said.
“Then go help Auntie down. You won’t need to co back here anymore.”
Ye Qiu directed Jiang Xiyue to help her mother down. Zhu Guiyue was lying on the bed resting, unaware that Ye Qiu intended to find her a new place to live.
She had been living at that place for a long ti and was accustod to life there, even treating it as her ho.
She hadn’t returned to the old rural ho for a long ti.
After all, Xiao Yue’s father had passed away long ago, and many relationships with those rural relatives had already been severed.
“Mom, get up.”
“Xiao Yue, I want to sleep.”
Zhu Guiyue said.
Jiang Xiyue knew her mother wanted to rest, but the old landlord refused to turn on the power and water, making it very inconvenient for her mother to stay there. So she listened to Ye Qiu and moved to another place.
When Ye Qiu carried Jiang Xiyue and Zhu Guiyue’s items downstairs, Jiang Xiyue helped her mother down the stairs, Zhu Guiyue was still a bit confused.
Why go down again right after coming up?
Arriving at the parked Range Rover, Ye Qiu opened the trunk, put the items inside, and Jiang Xiyue had already helped her mother into the car.
“Mom, the old landlord won’t turn on the power and water. We’re moving to another place.”
“Xiao Yue, what about this place?”
“Auntie, let’s move to a better environnt. We aren’t coming back here again.”
Zhu Guiyue was a bit dazed.
If she isn’t coming back here, where will she live?
Jiang Xiyue wasn’t sure about this either. Everything had to follow Ye Qiu’s arrangents.
“I still have items up there, I need to go get them.”
Zhu Guiyue said.
Seeing Zhu Guiyue so anxious, Jiang Xiyue and Ye Qiu assud there must be sothing valuable upstairs, so Jiang Xiyue helped her mother back up to get them.
About fifteen minutes later, Jiang Xiyue helped her mother down, carrying a wooden box. Jiang Xiyue didn’t know what was inside.
When Ye Qiu wanted to put the wooden box into the trunk, Zhu Guiyue insisted on holding it herself. Ye Qiu didn’t say much, and with the neighbors watching, he backed the car and left.
