After waiting for about twenty minutes, Zhao Ruxue ca out wearing a dress Ye Qiu brought back from France and carrying a bag, looking entirely different from her earlier formal and spirited police uniform.
“Ruxue, you look beautiful!”
“Sweet talker.”
Zhao Ruxue replied.
Though she said that, her heart was filled with sweetness.
When others complinted her, she felt it was ordinary. But when Ye Qiu praised her, it felt special.
Ye Qiu drove away and headed to a Western restaurant.
Arriving at a fancy Western restaurant, Ye Qiu parked, and the enthusiastic security guard imdiately ca to open the door for them.
As Ye Qiu and Zhao Ruxue got out, the security guard was a bit puzzled by Ye Qiu’s simple attire.
As Ye Qiu held Zhao Ruxue’s hand, and she didn’t pull away, they walked into the high-end Western restaurant. At the entrance, though the waitress looked at Ye Qiu’s outfit with a hint of doubt, she still smiled and asked, “Sir, do you have a reservation?”
“No, is there any space?”
“Yes, there is.”
“Then lead us, please.”
The waitress slowly led Ye Qiu and Zhao Ruxue to a couple’s corner seat, let them sit, and handed a nu to Ye Qiu.
Ye Qiu passed the nu to Zhao Ruxue, who noticed it was filled with upscale Western dishes at high prices.
“We’ll have two French steaks, well done, a Russian borscht, a pizza, and an Italian pasta. That should be enough for now; we’ll order more if needed.”
“Miss, would you like so wine?”
The waitress asked.
Zhao Ruxue looked at Ye Qiu, but considering he was driving, she thought it best not to drink.
“Bring a bottle of Lafite, a mid-range one.”
The waitress noted it down and left with the nu.
