A few tens of thousands in funding isn’t much; all of them can co up with that.
But what they want is Ye Qiu’s barbecue skills. After all, barbecue still depends on how good it is to eat; otherwise, if it’s not tasty, no one will co back for it a second ti.
"Just the three of you?"
Zhou Shaohui and the other two nodded.
Ning Yun wasn’t interested, Luo Yang wanted to focus on his gaming company. In their dorm of six, it’s just these few of them.
"Alright, I’ll give you five hundred thousand in start-up funding, and the barbecue secret recipe. I’ll just take thirty percent of the shares. The rest is yours."
Five hundred thousand in start-up funds?
And a barbecue secret recipe!
That’s definitely sothing different.
Zhou Shaohui and the other two were naturally very excited upon hearing this. They also knew that the path of studying dicine might not be successful in the future, so having another path would be more reassuring.
So, if they can start the barbecue business in their first year, they won’t have to worry about those problems in the future.
The key now is that they have Ye Qiu’s help; getting such an opportunity after graduation would be difficult.
Compared to the gaming company, setting up a barbecue stall is naturally much easier.
"Brother Qiu, we’ll start preparing right away," Zhou Shaohui said.
"You’re on your own. I don’t have ti to deal with these things."
Ye Qiu’s phone rang; it was Ling Zhengwei calling.
"Ye Qiu, I’ve invited several surrounding hoowners, and unexpectedly, their entire families have co over for tea, right at the villa near the urban village."
"Well, that’s just perfect. Let’s see if these people have any sha left."
Ye Qiu said.
Their small advantages are all taken. Later, he wanted to see what kind of people they really were.
Ye Qiu hung up the phone and called Ling Fei: "Ling Fei, wait for at the entrance of the Teachers College. I’ll co to pick you up."
"So that’s it!" Ye Qiu said to Zhou Shaohui and the others.
When Ye Qiu ca down from the male dormitory, seeing Zhou Shaohui and the other two looking smug, Ning Yun said, "If I had known, I would have joined in."
"Brother Ning, didn’t you look down on barbecue stall businesses?"
"I do have money, but I can still earn a bit for gas money, right?" His BMW used the most expensive gasoline, costing thousands every month just for fuel.
Ye Qiu got in the car, drove to the entrance of the Teachers College, and saw Ling Fei waiting there.
When he saw Ye Qiu drive over, Ling Fei got in the front passenger seat, and Ye Qiu said, "Your dad just called, and the neighbors all went over, bringing their entire families along."
Ling Fei didn’t know what to say.
Following Ling Zhengwei’s directions, they went to that villa’s parking lot, and Ye Qiu and Ling Fei got out.
At that mont, in the lobby inside, several families from around were there, n and won, young and old, an entire table for each family.
Besides the four neighboring families, other neighbors from around were also invited.
Looking at Ling Zhengwei, they thought it was simply a tea party because of the issues with house demolition.
Ling Zhengwei was waiting for Ye Qiu, and when he finally saw Ye Qiu and Ling Fei, he waved them over. Ye Qiu and Ling Fei went to join him.
The surrounding neighbors naturally recognized Ling Fei, and even knew about her near-death jump from a building during her college entrance exam.
As for the recent hearsay about Ling Zhengwei’s daughter having a wealthy boyfriend, it wouldn’t be this plainly dressed young man, would it?
No matter how they looked, he didn’t seem like a wealthy person; on the contrary, he seed very ordinary.
These people were conversing in the local Jinling dialect, which Ye Qiu could naturally understand clearly.
"Ye Qiu, they all ca, completely beyond what I expected. I thought it would be a couple of hoowners from each household, but the whole families showed up. And, they started ordering food right when they arrived." Ling Zhengwei said helplessly.
"Uncle Ling, let them eat first, then let’s see how they behave after they’re done."
Ye Qiu, Ling Fei, and Ling Zhengwei sat at another table. A waitress brought the nu. Ye Qiu saw that the afternoon tea here wasn’t too expensive, ten or so for a piece, but with whole families ordering freely, it would be at least a few hundred.
"Ling Fei, what would you like to eat?"
Ye Qiu asked.
Ling Fei didn’t have any appetite after seeing how surrounded the neighbors were.
But Ye Qiu didn’t mind.
It was better to eat a little sothing first.
"Waitress, order all the tasty dishes and send them over," Ye Qiu said.
"Yes, sir." The waitress picked up the nu, circled the orders, and left the hall.
As those neighbors continued eating, they naturally noticed Ye Qiu’s different aura.
But Ye Qiu didn’t care.
"Uncle Ling, what about those workers?"
"They’re still resting, can’t work right now." Ling Zhengwei said helplessly.
"Call them to co over for afternoon tea. I’ll treat them." Just for almost getting into a fight with the city inspectors, Ye Qiu thought treating them to afternoon tea was worth it.
"Really ask them over?" Ling Zhengwei couldn’t believe it.
It’s not that those workers would eat much, but calling them now, when the neighbors were there to discuss issues, might not be appropriate.
"Dad, just listen to Ye Qiu."
Ling Zhengwei called the foreman to bring the workers over for tea.
Originally resting and waiting to start work, when they heard the boss was treating, they hurried over.
They did the hard labor, dressed casually, so they ca straight over to the villa entrance, went inside, and the female waitstaff looked at them curiously.
Entering the tea hall, they saw the boss Ling Zhengwei beckon them over. The foreman and a few workers joined in.
"Boss, you’re really treating us to tea!"
"Of course, find a seat, order what you want, and I’ll cover it." Ye Qiu told them.
The foreman and the workers sat at another table, took the nu, and started ordering.
They usually had lunch boxes for als, and they seldom indulged in such dim sum.
Now, with the boss treating, they wouldn’t hold back.
The waitress brought the nu over; they pointed at whatever looked good to them and ordered.
"This, that, and those—I haven’t tried them."
"I want so too."
When those workers, speaking a blend of their local dialect and Mandarin, were talking, the nearby neighbors heard them clearly.
"These folks act like they’ve never eaten before."
"Outsider pests!"
...
These locals weren’t many in number, rely fortunate to own an old property. Yet, they’re the least tolerant of outsiders, particularly those who labor arduously. They felt superior, putting themselves on a pedestal.
