Ye Qiu woke up from his nap, it was already past six in the evening. After getting up to freshen up, he ca downstairs and noticed that Zhonghua Street was even busier and more lively in the evening.

He planned to go to the tea house first to find sothing to eat. Rembering the lunch he had at Akino, Ye Qiu felt uncomfortable.

While heading towards a nearby Hong Kong-style tea house, he suddenly saw a crowd gathered in front, among them, one person whom Ye Qiu felt looked sowhat familiar.

Isn’t that Ma Wenwen, the journalist I t in the Southwest quarantine area?

What is she doing here?

"You better return my stuff right now," Ma Wenwen said.

Just a mont ago, she noticed that soone had been following her, only to find her phone missing in a blink. It was her latest model smartphone, which she got just after returning from the Southwest to East Sea City because the previous one had broken its screen during a hiking trip.

She was taking this trip due to her newsroom assignnt, as many from Huaxia had recently traveled to The East Ocean, so she took this opportunity to do a food report.

Unexpectedly, upon arriving at Zhonghua Street, her phone was taken.

She knew for sure it was stolen by these two thieves beside her.

"Why do you accuse of taking your stuff?" The young man who dyed his hair looked shifty-eyed, clearly not a good person.

Ma Wenwen’s phone had lots of important content; if it wasn’t recovered, the interview would have to end prematurely.

Yet, Ma Wenwen was disappointed as people around rely watched, no one stepped forward to help.

Ye Qiu walked over and kicked one young man to the ground without hesitation, coldly said, "Hand it over if you don’t want to die."

"Who, who are you?"

Ye Qiu didn’t expect so many pickpockets inside Zhonghua Street. But, it was understandable as, with so many people around, things could easily go missing without anyone noticing.

The young man looked at Ye Qiu in fear, and then Ye Qiu delivered another fierce kick, extracting a pink-cased smartphone from him, and handed it back to Ma Wenwen.

Ma Wenwen thought it might be soone else, but turned out, it was Ye Qiu.

"Ye Qiu, it’s really you!"

Ma Wenwen didn’t expect that in a foreign land, she would find her savior. What delighted her the most was not Ye Qiu retrieving her phone, but eting him.

Ye Qiu said nothing, when he was about to leave, the young man on the ground beca furious and pulled out a sharp dagger, aiming to stab towards Ye Qiu.

Surrounding people dared not help Ma Wenwen earlier, as they knew these punks carried weapons, and now it was confird.

Just as Ma Wenwen saw this, before she could warn, the dyed-hair young fellow plunged the dagger towards Ye Qiu’s back.

This dagger, unlike other blades, was serrated, making it hard to stop the bleeding once stabbed.

Ye Qiu didn’t even need to look to know the punk would draw a weapon. He turned and delivered a hard kick to the young man, sending him flying several ters away, nearly coughing up blood.

"Amazing, Huaxia Kung Fu!"

...

Ye Qiu didn’t seem to glance further and proceeded forward.

Earlier, Ma Wenwen was worried, but realized her concerns were unfounded. With a smile, she chased after Ye Qiu.

For so reason, being with Ye Qiu felt incredibly safe.

"Hey, wait for ."

When Ma Wenwen caught up, Ye Qiu didn’t stop.

Perhaps, if it wasn’t for knowing Ma Wenwen, he wouldn’t have intervened. However, the world doesn’t operate on "if".

Ma Wenwen kept following, her scent wafting over.

"I’m here to conduct a food report on The East Ocean’s cherry blossom cuisine; didn’t expect to run into you." Ma Wenwen chattered on like a young girl, while Ye Qiu didn’t utter a word.

Back in the Southwest quarantine area, Ma Wenwen knew Ye Qiu had that kind of aloof, indifferent personality, as if nothing mattered to him.

Unlike others who would eagerly circle around her, those n annoyed Ma Wenwen to no end.

"Hello, are you two dining?"

Ye Qiu reached the Hong Kong-style tea house, the waitress asked him and Ma Wenwen.

"Yes, for two." Ma Wenwen replied.

Ye Qiu and Ma Wenwen followed the waitress to a table and sat down. Ma Wenwen was curious why Ye Qiu ca to The East Ocean. Was he alone?

When the waitress brought the nu, Ma Wenwen, feeling hungry, asked, "What’s particularly tasty here?"

"Everything here is delicious," the waitress said.

Ma Wenwen shook her head. As a food tourism journalist, she knew what’s good. After ordering a variety of dim sum, she handed the nu back saying, "These should be fine!"

After the waitress left, Ma Wenwen looked at Ye Qiu and asked, "Ye Qiu, what brings you to The East Ocean?"

"What do you think my purpose here is?"

"I can’t figure you out."

"Certainly to heal and save lives." Ye Qiu said icily.

Thinking it over, Ma Wenwen realized Ye Qiu’s renowned dical skills did an he likely ca to heal soone. Was there another patient in critical condition?

"Where’s the patient? Is their condition severe?"

Ye Qiu said no more, only gazed outside the tea house.

Ma Wenwen bit her lip, feeling herself too pushy, how would anyone like that? Besides, she knew, alongside Ye Qiu back then were two attractive ladies, Zhou Wenting and Wen Xin, no less appealing than her.

Consequently, Ma Wenwen thought attracting Ye Qiu with her looks was simply impossible.

Moreover, Ma Wenwen felt Ye Qiu differed greatly from others, not seeking fa or fortune, generally an intriguing understatent.

Nevertheless, eting Ye Qiu felt like fate to Ma Wenwen; this ti she definitely would cling to Ye Qiu, following him wherever he went, given her assignnt on cherry blossoms and gourt thes. Cherry blossom season prevailed now in The East Ocean.

Soon, the dim sums Ma Wenwen ordered arrived, all being Hong Kong-style snacks she tasted before, still very tasty.

Ye Qiu picked up chopsticks and ate, indeed found it far better than The East Ocean’s sashimi.

Finishing his al, Ye Qiu called the waitress to settle the bill, suddenly saw seven or eight n rush in, casting glances all around.

Apparently, they were targeting Ye Qiu.

Ye Qiu seed unfazed, while Ma Wenwen urgently said, "Ye Qiu, those punks are here again; should we call the police?"
