Chapter 1616: Chapter 1575: Challenging Kitamura

Ye Qiu didn’t stay any longer. He opened the door and ca out of the hospital room, while Hirano Seiko’s parents and Hirano-kun hurriedly went inside. Actually, Hirano Seiko’s condition now is almost like she’s fully recovered.

“Ye Shao, where are you going?” Akino asked.

“I’m planning to stay at a five-star hotel. Do you have any other matters?”

“Actually, I want to return to my alma mater to challenge the forr club president.”

Previously, Akino was a fifth-degree Karate expert, and when he faced off against the head of his Karate club from his alma mater, he almost got defeated badly.

However, after two years of studying at Jinling, especially with the Turtle School Qigong that Ye Qiu taught him, along with his past experiences in underground boxing, Akino felt he could now challenge that president. Otherwise, it would remain a hurdle in his heart.

“Then go ahead.”

Ye Qiu replied.

These matters were none of his concern. He planned to cure Hirano Seiko, collect her dical fees, then see what The East Ocean has to offer before returning to the country.

“I hope Ye Shao can co with .”

“You’re not confident by yourself?”

“Of course not. I hope Ye Shao can watch defeat the opponent.” Actually, Akino regarded Ye Qiu as a ntor, but to Ye Qiu, he was just casually helping out.

“Which university?”

“Kyoto University.”

Ye Qiu said, “I’ll arrange my accommodation first and then head over.”

Ye Qiu walked out of the Royal Hospital, with Ma Wenwen hurriedly following behind.

Upon reaching outside the Royal Hospital, he flagged down a taxi and looked at Ma Wenwen beside him, asking, “Which hotel are you staying at?”

Ma Wenwen gave him the hotel address she had booked, which was actually reserved in advance from her country. Plus, the newspaper reimbursed such accommodations, like the taxi fare, which could be reimbursed as long as there were receipts. But she just didn’t bother collecting these receipts.

That hotel was just an ordinary one. Now the taxi driver drove there, and Ye Qiu allowed Ma Wenwen to go inside and get her belongings out, planning to switch to a five-star hotel.

After Ma Wenwen went inside, Ye Qiu and the taxi driver chatted. Ye Qiu’s fluent East Ocean language made the driver truly believe he was an East Ocean local.

“Sir, where are you from?”

“I’m from Huaxia.”

Huaxia?

In The East Ocean, there is also a region called Huaxia. The cab driver thought Ye Qiu was from there. Actually, he wasn’t, and Ye Qiu didn’t bother explaining further.

After Ma Wenwen packed her belongings and checked out, she hopped in the car, and Ye Qiu planned to stay at the Tokyo Grand Hotel, a luxurious five-star hotel.

Upon reaching the entrance, Ma Wenwen paid the fare, and Ye Qiu and Ma Wenwen entered the grand hotel. At the front desk, the female receptionist politely greeted them upon realizing Ye Qiu was there to check in.

After checking the room, Ye Qiu booked a luxury suite, which was located over thirty floors high, offering a panoramic view of Tokyo’s nightscapes. Both daylight and moonlight would be abundant.

Ye Qiu and Ma Wenwen both presented their passports for registration. When Ye Qiu used his black card, he could directly swipe it to pay the deposit.

Then a female receptionist escorted Ye Qiu and Ma Wenwen upstairs. Ye Qiu took the keys and entered his room, finding it really nice.

You get what you pay for; sure enough, it was indeed different.

As he put down his backpack, Ma Wenwen was just about to sit down and enjoy, when Ye Qiu said, “I’m going to Kyoto University. Are you coming?”

“Of course, I’m coming.”

Now, she was following Ye Qiu unless Ye Qiu secretly decided to ditch her.

As Ma Wenwen followed Ye Qiu downstairs, Ye Qiu handed her the room card before getting into a taxi heading to Kyoto University.

Tokyo-Kyoto is a large bay area with connected cities, similar to the dostic Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta tropolises, but here they are even more interconnected.

So, what people often refer to as the Tokyo-Kyoto region is actually all within the Tokyo Bay area.

Ye Qiu and Ma Wenwen sat in the taxi, and before long, when the taxi driver stopped, Ye Qiu knew they had arrived at Kyoto University.

After getting out of the car, Ye Qiu and Ma Wenwen went inside, finding Kyoto University adorned with beautiful cherry blossoms everywhere, just like a fairy tale. She even thought about Hokkaido where she’d like to view cherry blossoms and soak in hot springs. Unexpectedly, they were quite enchanting here in Tokyo, too.

Ma Wenwen took out her portable cara for shots, planning to organize the text later back at the hotel.

Ye Qiu only knew she was a reporter, mainly focused on food and travel, but he wasn’t clear about the specifics.

Ye Qiu wandered around Kyoto University, seeing the young male and female students from The East Ocean, and a half-hour later, Ye Qiu’s phone rang—it was a call from Akino.

“I’m inside Kyoto University, ready to head over.”

After asking a passing East Ocean female student about the location of the Karate club, Ye Qiu and Ma Wenwen proceeded to it.

Karate is the number one martial art in The East Ocean, practically their national art, so at Kyoto University, the Karate club is the largest martial arts club on campus.

When Ye Qiu and Ma Wenwen arrived, they found a large crowd outside watching. Many were not mbers of the Karate club and couldn’t go inside.

Akino and Akino Aiko, along with Hirano-kun, were outside waiting for Ye Qiu.

Seeing Ye Qiu and Ma Wenwen approaching, Akino hurriedly said, “Ye Shao, my old rival is inside.”

Ye Qiu and Ma Wenwen went in together, and typically you were supposed to remove your shoes, but Ye Qiu did not.

Once inside, indeed there were many young male and female club mbers in Karate uniforms.

In front was a black “Martial” character displayed, with posters saying “Empty” and “Ninja” on each side, creating quite an atmosphere.

Upon learning Akino had returned from Huaxia to challenge him proactively, Kitamura still found it amusing.

Currently, Kitamura held a seventh-degree black belt strength, while Akino was still at fifth-degree, primarily because Akino’s strength assessnt was based on two years ago.

During these two years, exactly how strong Akino had beco, Kitamura wasn’t very certain. However, given Akino’s past situation, surpassing him seed impossible.

Back then, Akino had challenged him for the club president position but failed. Consequently, Akino left Kyoto University as an exchange student to study at Jinling University.

Now, upon Akino’s return, he directly challenges him, and Kitamura naturally knows the other party feels unfazed.

Ye Qiu saw in the Karate club’s martial arts room that both sides were filled with club mbers. One young man clad in a black samurai outfit, appearing about thirty years old, was standing with his back to Ye Qiu and the group, facing the character “Martial”.

Kitamura had long graduated but treated Karate as a career, thus staying at Kyoto University to continue serving as the Karate club president, which was quite normal.
