When Ye Qiu woke Liu Lingxiu, she was still a bit frightened, with quite a bit of cold sweat on her face and back. It wasn’t until she saw Ye Qiu beside her that she felt much more at ease.
"Lingshow, I’ll go take a shower first."
Ye Qiu couldn’t figure out why Liu Lingxiu had a nightmare.
After Ye Qiu took a shower and returned, it was only a little past three in the morning, so he imdiately embraced Liu Lingxiu and fell asleep.
The next day, a little past eight in the morning, Ye Qiu and Liu Lingxiu got up. Liu Lingxiu still rembered having a nightmare last night, but she wasn’t very sure what the nightmare was about.
After washing up, the two finished breakfast, and Ye Qiu started painting again.
After three days, the grand oil painting masterpiece was finally complete. Not only was Housekeeper Eugene very surprised after seeing it, but Louise and the servants were as well.
They felt that Ye Qiu’s oil painting was not only exquisite but also brought an indescribable sense of shock to people.
"Fra it and hang it right in the center of the hall on the first floor."
Ye Qiu said.
Housekeeper Eugene went to get the materials ready, then hung the masterpiece up in the center of the hall on the first floor, indeed making it very captivating.
In Housekeeper Eugene’s view, this painting was worth more than the entire castle.
After all, it had consud a lot of Ye Qiu’s energy.
And those upper-class French figures in the painting—Housekeeper Eugene didn’t expect that after so long, Ye Qiu could still recall the expressions of these big personalities from the wine tasting party.
Ye Qiu, Louise, and Liu Lingxiu prepared to have lunch and then head to Paris to check on Louise’s fashion brand and the situation with Prince Perfu.
Unexpectedly, Louise received a call from her grandfather, Gauthier the Tenth.
"Grandpa, you say you want to co to the Eastern Castle?"
"My dear granddaughter, ever since I saw that oil painting ’Eastern Castle’, I’ve wanted to co and see the Eastern Castle."
"Then I’ll discuss it with Ye Qiu."
Louise said to Ye Qiu beside her, "Qiu, my grandpa wants to co and visit the Eastern Castle."
"Let him co then."
For Ye Qiu, it wasn’t a big deal.
After all, most of France’s high society had been here.
"Grandpa, Ye Qiu says you’re very welco to visit."
"We’ll co in the afternoon."
Louise gave her grandfather clear directions to the Eastern Castle.
Actually, the castle was originally nad after the Count Charley family, but after it was gifted to Ye Qiu, he renad it. However, according to historical French maps, it is still recorded under the original na of the Count Charley family.
But after the introduction of Viscount Red Wine and now this oil painting, it’s likely others will rember this place as the Eastern Castle, without knowing its original na.
Ye Qiu intended to return to Paris with Liu Lingxiu, but since Louise’s grandfather was coming, they decided to stay and host them in the afternoon.
After lunch, Ye Qiu asked Housekeeper Eugene to prepare more food, as Louise’s grandfather, Gauthier the Tenth, and his entourage would certainly want to eat.
Afternoon tea and such would definitely be needed.
Housekeeper Eugene was already very experienced with these kinds of preparations, so Ye Qiu didn’t need to say much.
Ye Qiu, Liu Lingxiu, and Louise went to the seaside. These past few nights, if Ye Qiu wasn’t holding Liu Lingxiu while they slept, Louise would have nightmares. Ye Qiu didn’t understand what was happening.
However, after Louise joined Liu Lingxiu in one room, Liu Lingxiu seed fine.
Was there sothing wrong with the Eastern Castle?
Ye Qiu thought it was impossible, especially since he had captured and removed the ferocious key.
And the droppings of the red-eyed, white-haired bats on the highest floor had long been cleaned up, with repairs conducted with the support of Count Charley.
Liu Lingxiu and Louise leaned against Ye Qiu’s shoulders, enjoying the sea breeze. Around Paris ti, two in the afternoon, Ye Qiu saw many luxury cars approaching from a distance.
They were Bentleys, Rolls-Royces, and the like.
"Louise, could it be your grandpa’s here?"
"Probably not just him."
With that in mind, the three of them headed back to the Eastern Castle.
Upon returning to the Eastern Castle, they indeed found that besides Gauthier the Tenth, other Gauthier family mbers in Paris, including the great artist Mr. Bale and friends, had also co along.
Initially, upon parking and seeing the Eastern Castle and the surrounding vineyard, they found that the scenery was indeed as beautiful as depicted in the painting.
As they got out of the cars, Housekeeper Eugene greeted them and welcod them in, offering them tea in the first-floor drawing room. Unexpectedly, Gauthier the Tenth glanced at the oil painting on the wall in front and was so astounded he nearly cried out.
"This, this is?"
"Count Gauthier, this is a grand piece titled ’The Wine Tasting’ completed by our Young Master Ye."
The Wine Tasting?
Back then, Gauthier the Tenth hadn’t attended, but many figures from France’s high society had. Ever since that event, the Viscount Red Wine began to spread across Europe and Arica, becoming the most expensive wine in those regions.
Now, you could see the grandeur of that wine tasting party depicted in the painting, including individuals like Count Charley, whom he recognized.
Their circumstances that night were all vividly captured in the painting.
"Who did you say painted this?" Mr. Bale asked in disbelief.
"Young Master Ye!"
"You an Mr. Ye? How is that possible?"
Mr. Bale could hardly believe it.
This oil painting surpassed those of ’Father and Son’ and ’Eastern Castle’ by more than one level—comparable even to ’The Last Supper’.
Thus, upon seeing this masterpiece, Mr. Bale and others were indeed so amazed they were speechless.
"Where is Mr. Ye?" Gauthier the Tenth asked.
"Young Master Ye, Miss Louise, and Miss Liu went to the seaside for so fresh air—they should be back soon."
Indeed, Gauthier the Tenth and his group were all captivated by the great masterpiece. Even Mr. Bale and others kept taking photos with their phones.
This masterpiece stretched ten ters long and seven to eight ters wide, perfectly complenting the environnt of the Eastern Castle, just right in the center of the first-floor hall.
However, Gauthier the Tenth thought it was too extravagant; he felt that the painting was on par with ’The Last Supper’. Of course, this masterpiece had more characters, all depicted with incredible vitality.
"Doesn’t he worry about it being stolen by hanging it here openly?" Gauthier the Tenth asked.
Originally, he had co over to see the Eastern Castle and its surroundings, naturally influenced by the oil painting. Unexpectedly, he was now drawn to another masterpiece, as if forgetting their initial purpose for visiting.
