6: Chapter 0006: The Vitality is Fading Away 6: Chapter 0006: The Vitality is Fading Away Although Zhou Peng was the vice president of Jinling Hospital, he was only good at administrative managent and understood very little about dical skills.

Moreover, with so many renowned doctors in the ad-hoc committee of Chinese and Western dicine experts unable to diagnose Li Qianqian’s condition, how could he possibly be clear about it?

“Mrs.

Li, the mbers of the hospital’s expert panel are currently in a eting discussing the issue,” Zhou Peng could only offer comfort.

“I think they should be able to identify the problem soon.”

However, he felt the possibility was not great.

Li Zhiguo and Lu Xiuyu had not eaten for a whole day and were now hungry, but when the hospital’s nurse specially brought them a al with four dishes and a soup, neither of them had much of an appetite.

After sipping a little of the soup, they had soone take it away and throw it out.

At nearly midnight, in the temporary office of the expert panel, when all the test results for Li Qianqian were available, the specialists began their examination.

The representatives from the Chinese dicine group found that aside from Li Qianqian’s pulse being rather weak, there were no other issues.

Western dicine specialists, on the other hand, found that tests on Li Qianqian’s blood and other aspects were all normal, especially the brain scans, which showed no problems with her brain.

But now, Li Qianqian was in an unresponsive coma?

“I suspect it’s a vegetative state!”

“I suspect it’s severe coma!”

The doctors discussed but found no conclusions.

If it were indeed a vegetative state, at least there was still a chance for Li Qianqian to wake up.

But if it wasn’t a vegetative state and was so other undiagnosable condition, that would be very serious.

The mbers of the expert panel, so in their fifties, so over sixty, were exhausted at this point in ti.

They planned to leave one or two of the younger doctors to watch over Li Qianqian and to go rest themselves, with the intention to review her condition again tomorrow.

Unexpectedly, just as they were about to inform Zhou Peng, a nurse from the VIP ward hurried over, saying urgently, “Doctor, doctor, sothing’s wrong!”

“What’s wrong?” one of the Western dical experts asked, sowhat annoyed.

“The patient’s ECG is becoming more and more flat,” the nurse hastily reported.

The doctors in the temporary office understood the gravity of the situation and rushed into the VIP ward.

Upon entering, apart from the beeping of the ECG machine, Zhou Peng and the couple Li Zhiguo and Lu Xiuyu were dismayed.

Just before midnight, they had not detected any issues with Li Qianqian’s ECG, but now, seeing it, they knew what it ant.

Lu Xiuyu was so frightened that she clutched Li Qianqian’s hand and grabbed Li Zhiguo’s hand in fear.

When Zhou Peng saw the doctors arriving, he imdiately said, “Use all the hospital’s capabilities to save Li Qiangin.”

Seeing the ECG waveforms, an internal dicine doctor urgently said, “Prepare a dose of cardiac stimulant imdiately.”

As a nurse went to prepare the cardiac stimulant, the other doctors watched.

But now, looking at the ECG and the ventilator’s display, Li Qianqian’s condition did not look optimistic.

If two doses of the cardiac stimulant did not have any effect, then Li Qianqian truly would not survive until the next day.

As Zhou Peng thought about this, Li Zhiguo and Lu Xiuyu had the sa realization.

The two of them seed to have already envisioned Li Qianqian being taken to the morgue.

However, the more they thought about it, the more frightened Lu Xiuyu beca because just earlier when Li Qianqian was brought in, a young man on the first floor had said those words.

Could the young man’s curse really have co true?

“It’s all because that young man spoke nonsense earlier, and now Qianqian really is in trouble, Zhiguo, what should we do?

We only have Qianqian as our daughter.”

Now that Li Zhiguo and his wife are both over forty, if Li Qianqian truly has an accident, even if they could have another child, they have no idea when that could be.

Moreover, it would be very dangerous for Lu Xiuyu to give birth at an older age.

Upon hearing his wife’s words, Li Zhiguo also rembered what that young man on the first floor had said.

When Li Zhiguo and Lu Xiuyu looked towards Zhou Peng, Zhou Peng could only say, “Mayor Li, Mrs.

Li, I’ve already had the security guards teach that madman a lesson.

If you’re still not satisfied, I can have the security guards go and give him a severe beating.”

“Forget it, since he’s a madman, let’s not bother with him.” As a prominent figure, Li Zhiguo didn’t bother to take offense at soone like Ye Qiu, a common person.

But now, with his daughter in such a condition, could it really be serious?

The two female nurses at the hospital quickly prepared the adrenaline shots and, under the guidance of the hospital doctors, administered two shots to Li Qianqian.

After the two shots of adrenaline were injected, Li Qianqian’s electrocardiogram showed much stronger signals, not remaining as flat as before.

However, not long after the shots were administered, the screens of the electrocardiogram and ventilator showed that Li Qianqian’s vitality was continuously fading away.

This indicated that the two shots of adrenaline had not worked!

At this point, Zhou Peng didn’t know what to do?

The more than ten doctors on the hospital’s temporary expert committee also didn’t know what to do—they had no solutions and were equally clueless as to how to treat Li Qianqian, only able to watch powerlessly as she slowly depleted her last bits of vitality in front of them.

Lu Xiuyu was already holding onto Li Zhiguo and crying, while Li Zhiguo also appeared helpless.

He was one of Jinling City’s most assertive deputy mayors, but faced with his daughter’s condition, he was at a loss as to what to do.

He didn’t dare look at his daughter any longer and could only turn his face away.

Zhou Peng had not expected this; he thought he could ingratiate himself with Mayor Li and his wife, yet now, less than a day after Mayor Li’s daughter had been brought here, she was going to die in the hospital.

Suddenly, Zhou Peng thought of what Ye Qiu had said to him.

None of the doctors at Jinling Hospital could save Li Qianqian, only Ye Qiu could.

Until now, Zhou Peng had thought this was a joke.

But what if it wasn’t a joke?

Zhou Peng thought, considering that Li Qianqian was already in such a state, why not let that Ye Qiu try?

“Mayor Li, perhaps there’s soone who can save Li Qiangin,” Zhou Peng said.

“Who?

Hurry and call him over!” Li Zhiguo said.

Now he was grasping at straws, since Li Qianqian was already in such a state—he would let anyone co to treat her, perhaps a miracle might occur.

“He, he’s the young man who cursed Li Qiangin on the first floor, he said that only he can save Li Qiangin,” Zhou Peng could only tell the truth.

Upon hearing this, Li Zhiguo was stunned!

Lu Xiuyu thought Zhou Peng had gone mad!

That young man could cure Li Qianqian’s illness?

Other doctors who heard also found it laughable.
