Chapter 945: Chapter 0945: Too Low-Key
Ye Qiu’s trip to France had been known to Liu Lingxiu for a long ti. However, since she had classes, she couldn’t join him. Unexpectedly, as soon as Ye Qiu left Jinling for France, rumors started spreading on campus that Ye Qiu was the underwear thief.
Liu Lingxiu knew soone must have deliberately impersonated Ye Qiu to ruin his reputation.
But as to who did it, Liu Lingxiu had no idea.
Still, over the past few days, so classmates occasionally threw strange looks her way, clearly because of her connection to Ye Qiu.
Now that she received Ye Qiu’s phone call and found out that he had returned, Liu Lingxiu quickly said, “Ye Qiu, I’m coming down now.”
Liu Lingxiu had just finished class but was currently at the library reading with Chen ng and Li Wen.
Seeing that Liu Lingxiu suddenly appeared delighted after answering her phone, Chen ng asked, “Was it Ye Qiu?”
“He just got back and is waiting at the boys’ dorm to go out for a al with .”
“Can we tag along?”
“Of course.”
Liu Lingxiu thought it wouldn’t be just her; she should probably invite Li Qianqian too.
The three girls quickly tidied up their books on the desk, returned them to the bookshelf, and then headed down from Jinling Library.
When they arrived at the South Gate, they saw Ye Qiu, Luo Yang, Li Shen, and Zhu Zhiming already waiting for them.
“Lingshow, over here!”
The three girls walked towards Ye Qiu’s group. Upon seeing Ye Qiu standing there, Liu Lingxiu initially seed a bit shy. However, as Ye Qiu’s girlfriend, she still took the initiative to hold his hand.
“Ye Qiu, you really went to France?”
Chen ng asked curiously.
In truth, she was also puzzled—did Ye Qiu actually go to France?

Monts earlier, Li Qianqian had received Ye Qiu’s call and learned of his return. She, too, was ecstatic.
“Ye Qiu!”
Li Qianqian called out eagerly as she approached.
However, upon seeing Liu Lingxiu holding Ye Qiu’s hand, Li Qianqian noticed that Liu Lingxiu gripped it even tighter as she drew closer. Li Qianqian, though, didn’t mind.
“When did you get back?”
“Around five this morning.”
“And the gifts?”
“I ca back in such a rush this ti, so I didn’t bring any.”
Originally, Ye Qiu had promised to bring a bottle of wine from his vineyard for their ntor Song Ying. However, since the wine was still aging, it was impossible to bring any back for her now.
Besides, if Li Qianqian really wanted luxury items, Ye Qiu thought it better to personally design sothing for her.
“Seriously, nothing?”
“Wait for your birthday.”
Last ti, Ye Qiu had bought a diamond necklace for Li Qianqian but hadn’t given it to her yet. Instead, he had given it to Liu Lingxiu.
“My birthday isn’t until next year!”
Now Ye Qiu was heading towards a hot pot restaurant.
On the way, Li Qianqian brought up the rumor about the underwear thief.
Back when Jinling University started circulating the rumor connecting Ye Qiu to the underwear thief, Li Qianqian already knew it had to be soone impersonating Ye Qiu to tarnish his reputation.
After all, following the freshman welco party, Ye Qiu had shot up Jin University’s popularity rankings, becoming a campus celebrity unmatched by many.
As a high school valedictorian and soone extraordinarily talented in other areas, Ye Qiu naturally drew attention from many people.
That was why Li Qianqian imdiately wanted to investigate and find out who was saring Ye Qiu’s na. Unexpectedly, the underwear thief turned out to be quite cunning.
“I had soone look into it, but there’s no lead yet.”
Li Qianqian said.
“I was in France. Anyone with common sense would know it wasn’t .”
“You’re too low-profile—hardly anyone knows you went to France.”
“Didn’t the ntor submit my leave to the college? The college leadership should know.”
Ye Qiu said.
“I wouldn’t know. You’d better ask your ntor about it.”
Reaching the hot pot restaurant, Ye Qiu, Li Qianqian, Liu Lingxiu, Luo Yang, and the others went inside and sat down.
Just like last ti, they ordered one clear soup base and one spicy soup base, along with an assortnt of side dishes.
“Ye Qiu, didn’t you say you’d be in France for a month this ti?”
Li Qianqian asked again.
Even Luo Yang and the others were curious. Why had Ye Qiu suddenly returned? Was it because of the underwear thief incident?
“Sothing ca up.”
Ye Qiu glanced at Ning Yun, who was sitting across from him. This kid likely had no idea yet. He was obviously one of the Ning Family, and this ti, Ye Qiu had returned early because of problems with the Imperial Cuisine Restaurant that only he could handle.
But with so many people present, Ye Qiu didn’t want to say too much.
Li Qianqian didn’t press further either.
They chatted for a while, and soon the waitress brought out the clear soup and spicy broth. Li Shen also ordered a crate of beer.
“If you guys drink, can you still play gas later?”
“Not tonight.”
Zhu Zhiming laughed.

By around 8 PM, Ye Qiu and the group had eaten their fill and finally finished the al.
Initially, Ye Qiu planned to go for a walk with Liu Lingxiu and Li Qianqian, but then thought about Zhou Wenting at his ho. Was she still at the villa or back at her mother Wang Yulian’s place?
“Lingshow, Qianqian, I’m heading back to the villa.”
“What about tomorrow?”
Li Qianqian asked.
“Back to school for classes, of course.”
“Then why are you in such a rush to go ho tonight?”
“Soone’s at ho. Zhou Family’s fourth daughter ca with to France, and now she’s still at the villa. I need to take her ho.”
Li Qianqian naturally knew Ye Qiu was referring to Zhou Wenting from the Zhou Dabao Jewelry Group.
The first ti Ye Qiu went to France, Zhou Wenting had accompanied him then as well.
Surprisingly, the second ti, it was also Zhou Wenting who went along. If anyone argued that nothing was going on between them, Li Qianqian wouldn’t believe it for a second.

Ye Qiu explained briefly.
Neither Liu Lingxiu nor Li Qianqian fully believed that Ye Qiu only needed a translator.
After dropping the two girls off at the female dormitory, Ye Qiu got into his car. Along the way, other female students gave him odd looks, as if they believed he was the underwear thief.
Looks like I need to catch that thief soon!
