Fang Yuan let the silence settle after Lin Xi’s departure, his gaze sweeping across the gathered elders.

He folded his hands behind his back. "If anyone else has suggestions or matters to raise, now is the ti."

The elders exchanged uncertain looks. One by one, heads bowed in acknowledgnt.

"Clan Head Fang," an elder finally said, voice steady but respectful, "we... are satisfied with the current arrangents. There is nothing more to add."

A ripple of agreent spread through the hall. Murmurs of assent echoed briefly before fading once more into quiet reverence.

Fang Yuan inclined his head with a faint smile. "Very well. Then, today’s eting is concluded."

His words carried the soft finality of command.

The elders all rose, offering deep bows before excusing themselves.

Even as they filed out, whispers of awe ran beneath their breaths.. about the pills, the formations and the generosity.

When the last of them had left, the grand hall felt suddenly vast and still.

Beside him, the faint sound of restless breathing drew his attention. He turned to the anxious figure at his side, her hands folded tightly, uncertainty flickering behind her composed gaze.

Fang Yuan’s expression softened. "Co," he said quietly. "Let’s go for a walk. Just you and , I want to show you sothing."

He extended his hand toward her, the gesture gentle but steady, a quiet invitation that carried warmth rather than command.

She t his eyes, hesitation warring briefly with trust.

Then, slowly, she reached out, slipping her fingers into his as she rose to her feet. The faintest smile touched her lips.

And together, they stepped out into the quiet evening light beyond the hall.

....

The mountain air was cool and gentle as Fang Yuan and Lin Zhaoyue strolled side by side along the stone paths of the estate.

The once desolate Mount Skyhowl now pulsed faintly with life, spirit birds flitting through the mist, flowers blooming where spiritual energy gathered thick.

Lin Zhaoyue walked with small, careful steps, her hands folded in front of her as though afraid to disturb the serenity around her.

Every so often, she would glance upward, her wide eyes drinking in the drifting clouds above.

There was a quiet innocence to her gaze, curious, unguarded, and utterly pure.

A butterfly, its wings painted in hues of soft blue and gold, fluttered past her face.

Zhaoyue froze for an instant, her lips parting in silent wonder.

Her eyes followed the delicate creature as it danced lazily through the air, entranced yet her feet still moved on, following Fang Yuan.

Fang Yuan, walking just ahead, glanced sideways and wondered how could anyone change so extrely.

He slowed his pace and gently guided her toward the herb gardens nestled behind the estate.

The gardens had once belonged to the fallen Feng Clan, and their cultivation grounds were as exquisite as they were practical.

Rows upon rows of herbs stretched into the mist, their leaves glimring with soft luminescence, spirit dew clinging to their edges like liquid pearls.

The air was thick with fragrance and the faint hum of life energy.

And at the center of it all stood a small, pristine fountain. Water flowed from the mouth of a carved spirit beast, clear enough to reflect the drifting clouds above.

Zhaoyue’s eyes widened.

"It’s... beautiful," she whispered, her voice almost reverent.

Fang Yuan simply smiled and walked ahead, stopping by the fountain.

He sat down cross-legged upon the smooth stone rim, the water reflecting the calm steadiness in his gaze.

"Don’t wander around," he said lightly, settling his hands upon his knees. "Wait here. I have sothing for you."

She blinked at him, tilting her head slightly. His tone wasn’t commanding, more like a gentle instruction that carried an odd, quiet warmth.

After a mont, she nodded.

"Alright," she murmured softly, folding her skirt slightly as she crouched by the fountain.

Fang Yuan closed his eyes, his breathing steadying as his spiritual energy began to pulse faintly around him.

anwhile, Lin Zhaoyue’s attention was caught by a nearby patch of herbs.

One in particular drew her gaze, a tiny plant with three slender purple leaves, its roots half-buried in the shimring soil.

She leaned closer, eyes bright, "This one... it’s so pretty."

Then, as she watched, her expression shifted to wonder.

The leaves trembled faintly, and before her very eyes, the herb grew, stretching upward by re milliters, drinking in the surrounding spiritual energy as though alive.

Her lips parted in disbelief.

"It’s... growing..." she breathed.

She turned quickly, eager to show Fang Yuan, only to stop short.

He was already looking at her, eyes still half-lidded in ditation, a serene smile playing on his lips.

Around him, a dozen butterflies had gathered, their delicate wings glowing faintly as they circled him like drifting motes of light.

The sight was almost unreal, like a painting brought to life.

Zhaoyue clapped a hand over her mouth, trying and failing to hold back a giggle.

Then another escaped, soft and pure as silver chis in the wind.

Fang Yuan cracked an eye open and found her laughing, the sound echoing gently across the herb garden.

Fang Yuan didn’t speak for a while.

He simply sat there, eyes half open, watching her laughter ripple through the quiet garden like sunlight scattering over still water.

The sound was soft, but it reached deep into him, that unguarded joy, that innocent spark.

For a long mont, he allowed himself to just... breathe.

The scent of herbs mingled with the crisp spiritual air.

Butterflies drifted lazily through the qi currents, circling the fountain and settling briefly on Lin Zhaoyue’s hair before fluttering away.

Lin Zhaoyue’s soft laughter lingered in the air like the tinkling of wind chis.

She stared at Fang Yuan, eyes glimring with curiosity, her lips still curved in a smile.

"What were you doing just now?" she asked between little giggles, brushing a stray lock of hair from her cheek.

"You looked so serious, then all these butterflies just started flying around you! Can you teach ?"
