Huo Fei Li held his hands onto the Dark Lord’s arm and tried to stop the Dark Lord from making his next move.
But he was too weak for the Dark Lord.
Pain coursed through his body when he moved and more blood flowed from his wounds.
"Hmph." The Dark Lord narrowed his eyes at Huo Fei Li.
Huo Fei Li had been far more determined than he thought Huo Fei Li would be.
Maybe he should bring him under his control, the Dark Lord thought.

A gust of wind ca at the Dark Lord when Lu Ting got near.
She thrust the sword in her hands forward and tried to stab it into the Dark Lord’s face.
The Dark Lord tilted his head and the tip of her sword missed.
She wanted to follow up and slash her sword sideways but sothing happened.
Soone controlled her body and her movents were now many tis faster.
When the Dark Lord unleashed a strand of dark glow at her, she was able to dodge it even at such a close distance.
It caught the Dark Lord’s attention.
He sensed that there was another being inside Lu Ting’s body at that mont.
And before he could react, Lu Ting, with her other hand, tried to hit the ridian points on the Dark Lord’s arm that had plunged through the body of Huo Fei Li.
Her index and middle fingers pointed straight and gave out a ghastly red glow.
The Dark Lord tried to use his dark glow to stop the strikes from Lu Ting but it surprisingly wasn’t able to do so.
Lu Ting’s fingers went through the dark glow and hit the ridian points of his arm.
And when she was done, the Dark Lord couldn’t move his arm anymore.
He stared at her coldly and gave her a frontal kick.
Thud.
His kick landed on her abdon and she was hurled into the air, smashing through the tree trunks and stopped ten ters away.
"Lu Ting..." Huo Fei Li mumbled but his eyes were closing.
He didn’t know what their fate would be from now on.
The Dark Lord tried to break his arm free from whatever Lu Ting had done to it.
He diverted his Spirit Qi and tried to break through the foreign Spirit Qi that was blocking his ridian points.
When his Spirit Qi hit his ridian points, it dissipated instead.
The Dark Lord frowned.
It might take him so ti to get rid of the foreign Spirit Qi that was locking his ridian points, rendering his arm immovable.
"Interesting..." The Dark Lord had never seen this thod before and he glanced in the direction of where Lu Ting was.
The being that had controlled her must have been so ancestor or elder that was planning to take over her body.
And their battle forced the ancestor or elder to show their hand with whatever they could muster.
The Dark Lord shook his head and he withdrew his arm from the body of Huo Fei Li.
Thud.
Huo Fei Li’s body dropped to the ground and lay motionlessly.
The Dark Lord glanced down at him and shook his head.
His warm up was over and he had planted his seeds.
There was no need to go any further for now.
The Dark Lord turned around and his figure started to turn into a dark mist and disappeared.
"Master." The servants of Lu Ting quickly ca over to her and helped her up.
Lu Ting shook her head and opened her eyes.
Cough.
She gave out a cough of blood smudging her white robe with a ghastly crimson.
After she panted and caught her breath, she took out a pill from a pill bottle and put it into her mouth.
The Nine Heavens Restoration Pill she had did its work and the internal damage and bleeding of her organs started healing.
It helped a lot but wasn’t able to heal her back fully.
"I had to lie low and seize the only opportunity I had to help.

She could still sense his Spirit Qi inside him.
Lu Ting quickly glanced at his body and checked on his wound.
The Nine Heavens Restoration Pill started to take effect and the wound on his body started to close.
Bones, flesh with veins and blood grew and they slowly covered up the gaping hole he had in his body.
However, Lu Ting knew that Huo Fei Li’s wounds couldn’t be healed fully with only her Nine Heavens Restoration Pill.
Although his regeneration ability was much better than hers as a Sword Cultivator, it wasn’t too much of a difference and his wounds were much more serious than hers.
Lu Ting knew that she had to seek help for him soon.
But who?
All that she could think of to seek help from was Lin Xuan Qi.
She didn’t know anyone else being new here in Hong Feng City other than him.
