Yue Jie knew what it ant when Lin Xuan Qi said that and she was overjoyed.
She wanted him to stay with her every night if she could, but it wasn’t possible.
Xue Cong was the best head mistress of the Clan anyone could ask for.
It would be too much for her to take him away from Xue Cong.
She blushed and tried to stay calm on the outside while she instructed the servants to bring the wooden chests back into the mansion for storage.
Lin Xuan Qi saw the hassle of carrying the wooden chests and it reminded him to buy an Artifact to store things if he could when he got to the Capital City Bian Jing.
With it, he could then store precious items like his Five-Elent Stones and his taels of gold and silver inside the Artifact.

It was ti to have a chat with Ah Di.
He had asked Ah Di to make his decision for his future and it was more than enough ti to co to a decision by now.
Lin Xuan Qi was seated in his seat and sipping on his warm tea when Ah Di entered the study room.
"You know why I’ve summoned you here?" He asked and gestured for Ah Di to take a seat.
"Yes, brother-in-law." Ah Di greeted him and did so.
Lin Xuan Qi put down his teacup and said, "So, what is your decision?"
Ah Di lifted his head and glanced at him with a face of determination, "I want to study and get into the imperial court."
"That’s great." Lin Xuan Qi nodded his head at Ah Di’s decision.
It wouldn’t be too taxing on him financially and it was the best he could do for Xue Cong, giving Ah Di a future of his own.
And if Ah Di was able to successfully get into the imperial court, things might be different whenever he needed help from the officials.
The Governor seed to have beco a changed man, suddenly being so caring with the citizens and those inside Hong Feng City, which worked to his favor.
But you would never know whether the Governor would be transferred or regress to his old self as a corrupted official.
It would be a better bet to have soone on his side within the imperial system.
"I will arrange for the teachers and whatever you need to prepare for the imperial exams." Lin Xuan Qi said and poured Ah Di a cup of tea.
Ah Di was grateful and he stood up to give him a bow, "Thank you so much, brother-in-law."
Lin Xuan Qi shook his head and said, "Just do your best and live your own life.
"I’m doing it partly for your sister anyway."
Ah Di gave him a nod and glanced at the entrance.
"Go and talk to your sister if you want to." Lin Xuan Qi saw it and ushered him to go.
He wasn’t soone that could give a rousing speech or talk emotionally, it was best to leave it for Xue Cong.
Ah Di thanked him once again.
After which, he turned towards the door and got out of the study quickly, heading towards the dining hall to tell Xue Cong of the good news.
When Xue Cong heard it, she was also overjoyed.
Having soone study for the imperial exams was sothing their family wouldn’t dare to dream of not so long ago.
But now, it was real for them.
Xue Cong quickly brought Ah Di to Old Shao and i Jiao to tell them the good news.
Her parents were equally overjoyed by it.
i Jiao was in tears, giving Xue Cong a huge hug.
But after a while, she took a step back and glanced at Xue Cong’s tummy.

i Jiao shook her head, pulled her to the side and whispered to her, "You should hurry up and bear him a child."
"I... I will try to do so." Xue Cong gave out a sigh and said.
"I know that Yue Jie is caring for everyone but it is still best to bear a child before the concubine." i Jiao held Xue Cong’s hands and said.
It was sothing inevitable to i Jiao and she was worried sick about it.
If Yue Jie gave birth to a child first, then it might jeopardize Xue Cong’s position as the head mistress of the Clan.
She had heard so many tales about those big clans and families about how bad the power struggles were.
Xue Cong shook her head and said, "I know Xuan Qi isn’t such a person."
"I know he isn’t but it’s always better to be safe than sorry." i Jiao said with a worried look.
Xue Cong gave her a nod, patted i Jiao’s hands and said, "Don’t you worry, I know what to do."
She had faith in Lin Xuan Qi and she was more than willing to please him.
And even if Yue Jie got to give birth to his child first, she didn’t mind.
Xue Cong was more than ready to treat the child as her own if that was the case.
