Clank.
Lin Xuan Qi banged the hamr onto the chisel and it gave out a loud noise.
But when he glanced at the surface of the Alchemy Furnace, it was unscathed and looking pristine.
Not even a mark was left on it.
He frowned, raised his hand with the hamr and tried again.
Clank.
The sa thing happened.
Lin Xuan Qi thought for a mont, glanced at Lee He Song and said, "Maybe, I need to try it with your sword."
He hoped that the blade of Lee He Song’s sword would be sharp enough to leave a mark for the scriptures that were depicted in the manuscript.
"Here, Master Lin." Lee He Song didn’t hesitate and handed his sword over to Lin Xuan Qi.
Lin Xuan Qi tried with the tip of the sword but it was the sa.
Zhi Yong offered his help and said, "Master, strong. help."
He picked up the chisel and hamr and got ready to help.
Lin Xuan Qi nodded, pointed at the Alchemy Furnace and said, "Here, create a line on the surface."
Zhi Yong stepped forward, raised his hand with the hamr and struck it onto the end of the chisel.
Dang!
The sound was loud when the hamr struck.
It reverberated in the lab but when Lin Xuan Qi got closer to see the result, it was the sa as before.
The surface of the Alchemy Furnace was still the sa.
Lin Xuan Qi had another idea and he said, "Let try again."
He directed his Five-Elent Qi onto the tip of Lee He Song’s sword and this ti, it finally worked.
The tip of the sword engulfed in his Five-Elent Qi was able to carve and leave a straight line on the surface of the Alchemy Furnace.
"Master Lin, it worked!" Zhi Yong shouted happily when he saw the straight line on the Alchemy Furnace.
Lee He Song nodded his head at how Lin Xuan Qi made use of the Five-Elent Qi.
It would be great for him when he had enough Five-Elent Qi to do the sa.
Fighting against other enemies would be deadly for them if he was able to do so.
Lin Xuan Qi was surprised by it himself.
He didn’t expect the Five-Elent Qi to be so useful in different situations.
It seed to him that it was much more complete and comprehensive than the Spirit Qi that the other cultivators had access to.
He took note of it and continued with the carving of the scriptures.
There were five markings he had to make on the surface of the Alchemy Furnace which signified the five elents.
He didn’t know what the scriptures ant except for the fact that they looked sothing like a combination of the Six Yao from the Yi Jing and the star alignnt for Ziwei Dou Shu.
One by one, he carved the scriptures onto the Alchemy Furnace and soon, he had the last line of the scripture to complete.
Lin Xuan Qi turned his wrist and carved a curved line on the surface of the Alchemy Furnace and it was done.
He stepped back to look at his handiwork and the Alchemy Furnace seed to have co to life as it started trembling.
Whoosh.
It gave out a flash of light, and a gust of wind out of nowhere followed.
And then it stopped.
Zhi Yong opened his eyes wide, pointed at the Alchemy Furnace and said, "Master Lin, ghost..."
Lee He Song chuckled at his response and patted Zhi Yong on his back, "Don’t worry, Master Lin is doing sothing good for us but you must keep it a secret."
"Sothing good..." Zhi Yong mumbled and Lin Xuan Qi gave him a nod.
"Yes, it is sothing that is a secret among us. You mustn’t tell anyone except Xue Cong and Yue Jie."
Zhi Yong gave him a nod, held his finger onto his lip and said, "Master Lin, keep secret."
It was enough of a guarantee for Lin Xuan Qi.
Zhi Yong was direct and fiercely loyal to him and he wasn’t too worried about it.
Lee He Song chuckled and bowed to Lin Xuan Qi, "It is an honor and I would do the sa."
By now, Lee He Song was more than sure that the stances that Lin Xuan Qi had taught them were a cultivation thod that allowed mortals without Spirit Roots to do so.
And if it wasn’t for Lin Xuan Qi’s help, he might already be gravely ill and sick at that very mont.
So, with such magnanimous help from Lin Xuan Qi, he would never in his life betray Lin Xuan Qi for anything.
Lin Xuan Qi didn’t say much and he nodded at Lee He Song.
Working with smart and loyal people was the best.
There wasn’t a need for many words.
And with the scriptures completed, it was ti for the next step.
"Zhi Yong, bring so firewood over to the lab." He said and Zhi Yong proceeded to do so.
And while he was waiting, Lin Xuan Qi took out the Spirit Herbs he had gotten from Lu Ting and started to prepare them according to the manuscript.
The Dragon Tail Herb was full of Yang essence while the Moonlight Water was full of Yin essence.
These two together would cause a violent reaction according to the manuscript.
And to neutralize them, one would need to make use of the mixed essence within the Winter Frog’s Liver Herb to make it work.
The ratio of the different Spirit Herbs was crucial to the success of the pills so Lin Xuan Qi followed what was written in the manuscript religiously.
He also had his notebook with him to take down any observations as he always had.
Lin Xuan Qi began by pounding the Dragon Tail Herb into powder and poured out so of the Moonlight Water into a container.
And lastly, he grabbed a bunch of the Winter Frog’s Liver and weighed them according to how much of the other two herbs he had.
When it was done, he only had to wait for Zhi Yong to co back and start the fire in the Alchemy Furnace.
