Seeing that the poems he recited were so popular, Lin Xuan thought that he could make use of it.

He could take more liberty in the design of the soap.

For that, he would have to try it out with the first batch of the soap.

"I think we might be able to make the soap much more valuable to the custors," he said.

Zhang Jie was intrigued.

She glanced at him and asked, "And how can we do that?"

"Go and help spread the news that you’ve got the person behind the poems to co up with new ones.

"And the new poems would be randomly on so of the packaging of the soap.

"Say that it’s for those who are lucky to be blessed with getting a new poem from ."

Lin Xuan Qi briefed her on what he had in mind.

Making the poem random would drive up the demand, and letting it be associated with good luck ties into their superstitious beliefs.

It was a great hack to get more demand for the soap initially.

When she heard him, Zhang Jie raised her eyebrows and opened her eyes wide when she heard what he had said.

If it goes well according to his plan, the amount of demand for the soap would be astronomical.

Every one of those rich young masters and young mistresses would splurge on the soap to get the much sought-after poem.

She cald herself down after a mont and asked, "But won’t you feel that these poems would be wasted?

"You could have been making a na for yourself with them instead."

Lin Xuan Qi shook his head and said, "I know where I stand in terms of poetry.

"Getting the business running and being profitable is a higher priority for ."

He wasn’t telling a lie after all.

The poems that he had recited didn’t exist here, and he had conveniently used them to his advantage.

Zhang Jie nodded her head and was impressed with Lin Xuan Qi’s answer.

She had never seen soone so young and yet so humble.

Her husband, Sima Long, could behave like a showoff at tis.

Even though Sima Long’s status in the Sima Family wasn’t so high up in the hierarchy.

The branch of the family that dealt with the Artifact business was much more in control of the family.

The family in charge of mortals’ business had less influence and power.

But still, it didn’t deter Sima Long from being a showoff at tis, just like when he first t Lin Xuan Qi.

"Then I shall make sure the oil-layered paper and wooden boxes for the packaging would be of the highest quality," Zhang Jie said.

"Thanks so much." Lin Xuan Qi bowed and thanked her.

Before he could say anything further, Xue Cong, Yue Jie, and Yue Xin ca into the main hall.

"Master Lin, dinner is ready." Xue Cong bowed at him and said.

She stole a glance at Zhang Jie, and it was an eye-opener for her.

Zhang Jie was plump, wearing a luxurious silk dress with many jade and gold accessories.

What a beauty, she said to herself silently.

Another part of her was raging at her, shaming her for thinking that she would be good enough for Lin Xuan Qi.

With her slim figure, fair skin, and big rounded eyes, how dare she think that she could be with Lin Xuan Qi.

She was torn in a tug-of-war with herself.

Yue Jie and Yue Xin weren’t strangers to rich madams and mistresses, so they weren’t as surprised as Xue Cong.

Zhang Jie, on the other hand, noticed that the servant girls of Lin Xuan Qi looked pretty... exquisite by her standards.

Maybe she would request Sima Long to only take in servant girls that looked the sa from now on.

"Brother Sima Long, why don’t you stay for dinner?" Lin Xuan Qi’s voice brought her out of her thoughts.

"I would love to, but we must go to the annual Sima Family dinner later.

"It’s sowhat important to celebrate the legacy of the Sima Family.

"This is also the first ti I’m invited."

Sima Long said with a proud look, with his head held high.

"Congratulations. I shall not make you stay if that’s the case." Lin Xuan Qi was happy and glad that Sima Long was getting better treatnt now.

Most likely due to the potential of the soap business.

He promised himself that he would make sure that the business worked.

Now that it was not a matter of his own future but also Sima Long’s.

He stood up and walked with Sima Long and Zhang Jie to the wooden gates.

Xue Cong looked at his figure as she thought about the ntion of having a legacy.

She had been brought up with the mindset that having a legacy ant growing up, getting married, and having lots of kids.

Sothing that she wasn’t close to having.

Yue Jie and Yue Xin had different thoughts.

They had been brought up to think of marriage as a tool for families to beco more powerful together.

The potential bride would have to co from a family that was equally as powerful and wealthy as the groom’s family.

If not, it would be a world of pain and suffering for the bride.

The in-laws and relatives would treat them as soone of lesser status in the family.

But right now, it was all over for them.

Their status was the lowest of the low now as slaves.

Yue Jie could only think of looking after Yue Xin and ensuring that she would have a safe and stable life.

While Yue Xin’s wish was to help her father be free and take revenge against her father’s enemy.

"Why the faces? What are you waiting for? Isn’t dinner ready?" Lin Xuan Qi asked when he ca back from the wooden gates of the mansion.

"Err... Nothing..." Xue Cong replied and said.

Yue Jie and Yue Xin also nodded their heads.

He frowned and didn’t think much about it and waved at them as he walked towards the dining hall.
