Now reading: Chapter 33 33: — Sakayanagi Arisu Holds Grudges Really Well from Classroom of the Elite, but Diary-Style, a Comedy novel by willofD1923.

She didn't believe in any claims about knowing the future, nor did she believe in so-called transmigrators.

Although the existence of the diary itself was indeed special—no matter how many tis she threw it away, it would return to her hands, and it would update with new content at unpredictable tis—

What was special was only the diary.

Not the so-called "transmigrator" who wrote in it.

Write a diary casually and get rewards?

How could sothing that good possibly exist?

What's more, up to now, everything written in the diary had only been vague riddles that were hard to verify, things that probably only the people involved could truly understand.

There wasn't a single thing that could be called a "prophecy."

So from beginning to end, Sakayanagi Arisu didn't believe even a tiny bit of what was written in the diary.

From the start, she had only treated it as entertainnt.

She enjoyed reading those passages that seed to call people out by na but never actually ntioned anyone directly, describing things so vividly it felt like the writer was speaking straight to soone.

She would try to guess who in the school the "two-faced person" and "low-budget Yukino" were referring to.

Although she had accepted the writer's "challenge" in the first diary, the other party hadn't made any major moves in the past two days.

And since the beginning of school was busy anyway, she had temporarily put this ga of hide-and-seek aside.

But now, things were different.

Today's diary was complete nonsense.

"? A privileged kid?"

This was the biggest joke she had heard since enrolling.

No—probably the biggest joke she had ever heard in her life.

Her naturally gifted mind and unbeatable intelligence put her far above her peers.

Although her congenital illness held her body back sowhat, even so, she wasn't soone just anyone could slander.

She didn't need to, and would never, use her father's authority as chairman of the school to secure herself a spot in Class A!

The more she thought about it, the faster her breathing beca.

Her already-fragile heartbeat quietly sped up.

"Calm down… calm down…"

Clenching her teeth, Sakayanagi Arisu tried to steady her breathing.

Don't fall for it.

This guy was obviously deliberately provoking her emotions.

You could tell from the past two days' diaries that his writing was highly targeted.

So it was only natural that sothing like this would happen when he wrote about her.

Trying to anger ?

Then I'll give you what you want!

Taking a deep breath and ignoring the "reading completed" sound, Sakayanagi Arisu picked up the diary and, as if venting, threw it hard into the corner.

It would co back on its own anyway.

As her emotions gradually cooled, her thinking resud.

Not retaliating after being provoked wasn't her style.

Sakayanagi Arisu held grudges more than people imagined.

She hadn't taken this too seriously before.

But this ti, she would do everything she could to uncover this guy's true identity!

First, she started analyzing the diary's content.

"..."

Setting aside the fabricated rumors, today's diary actually revealed quite a lot of clues.

First was the psychological narration from the perspective of a Class D student.

From this, it could be inferred that most of the "freaks" he listed yesterday were probably in Class D.

That wasn't surprising.

Class D was, after all, a gathering place for defective students.

If it were only that, she could treat it as a smokescreen.

But considering that both the "two-faced person" and "low-budget Yukino" ntioned in the first two diaries were also from Class D, this perspective beca subtle.

Was it because he was a Class D student that he knew Class D people so well?

Sakayanagi Arisu decided to remain skeptical.

Then there was the intel.

"Recorder-Bro sold information to Ryuuen for two million personal points."

She roughly knew who the first one was.

Class B's Asakusa Toru.

The guy who caused a huge commotion at today's club orientation and sparked heated discussion in Class A's group chat.

If the rumors hadn't been distorted, then the diary was right.

He really was a freak.

As for the latter—Ryuuen… he should be from Class C.

The information itself didn't seem wrong.

It largely matched what she had observed and inferred herself.

Although she was surprised that Classes B and C had made a deal, she never thought she was the only one capable of noticing the teachers' subtle hints when explaining the rules.

As long as soone raised objections on the first day and paid enough personal points, anyone could obtain accurate intel.

However…

"So Class B paid for it, and Class C chose to bear the cost."

After reaching this conclusion, Sakayanagi Arisu stopped thinking about it and returned to analyzing the diary.

Ignoring the joke about her father paying twenty million to transfer her, this intel was actually more important than everything in the previous two entries.

—If the diary holders were all first-year students, that is.

The information was sold by Asakusa Toru of Class B to Ryuuen of Class C.

Given that both B and C already knew about the special exam…

And considering that the diary's writer was likely from Class D…

"...Was the purpose of making it public in the diary to muddy the waters?"

Was he pretending to be a reader so he could have an excuse to reveal this information to his class?

But the diary's existence couldn't be explained to outsiders.

Was he planning to let others spread the info for him, to compensate for Class D's potential disadvantage in class points?

But how could he be sure there were other readers in Class D?

Was he trying to warn soone?

Why?

There were many possibilities, and she couldn't draw conclusions yet.

But the more she analyzed, the more convinced she beca that this guy was from Class D.

There were too many pointing clues.

Although she couldn't rule out the possibility that he was deliberately misleading her, she chose to trust her intuition.

As for how a Class D student knew about the B–C transaction…

That hardly needed explanation.

Information involving eighty people could never be perfectly sealed.

Leaks were understandable.

That left only one question…

How did he know about Kamuro Masumi's habit of stealing?

Did he see it himself?

But at the ti, aside from her, no one should have noticed Kamuro shoplifting.

So—

Did he already know beforehand that Kamuro had this habit?

Thinking this, Sakayanagi Arisu opened her terminal.

[Who else knows about your stealing habit?]

She sent the ssage directly to Kamuro Masumi.

[Kamuro Masumi: Huh? Who besides you?]

[Kamuro Masumi: Why are you asking this now?]

[Kamuro Masumi: I've got a bad feeling. What happened?]

[Kamuro Masumi: Hey?]

Ignoring her questions and watching the unread marker turn into "read," Sakayanagi Arisu casually turned off the screen.

"So he didn't know beforehand…?"

That made sense.

If Kamuro had exposed her habit before enrolling, with such a record, she wouldn't have been placed in Class A.
