When they finally pulled apart, a thin, glistening thread of saliva stretched between their lips before it slowly snapped. Su Qinglan’s cheeks were flushed deep red. She pushed hard against his chest and quickly stepped back.
"Don’t tell you brought here just to take advantage of !" she muttered, then turned and ran deeper into the flower field, putting clear distance between them. She looked back at him with a mischievous glare, eyes sparkling with teasing light.
Han Jue stood frozen, caught completely off guard. His ears burned bright red.
"N-No, Lan Lan... I just... I just..." he stuttered, unable to form a proper sentence.
’How can I say it? That the mont I saw her running happily among the flowers, she looked so beautiful and lively that I completely lost control?’
’That I couldn’t stop myself from kissing her...’
’This is so embarrassing. I’m already a bonded male who’s going to beco a father soon, yet here I am, acting like a shy young boy who can’t even speak properly in front of his own mate.’
He patted his own chest, trying to calm his racing heart, then let out an awkward chuckle.
"Lan Lan, it’s nothing like that..." he said, but his ears only turned redder.
Su Qinglan stopped a few steps away, turning around to face him with a playful smile. She tilted her head and teased him even more.
"You’re going to beco a father soon, but you’re still so shy! You won’t even admit that you’re completely bewitched by ," she said, giggling.
"Look at you...ears all red like a little boy caught stealing sweets!"
Han Jue rubbed the back of his neck, feeling even more embarrassed.
’She’s right... I really am bewitched by her. Every smile, every glance from her makes my heart lose control. But how can I say that out loud? It’s too embarrassing!’
Su Qinglan looked at Han Jue’s deeply blushing face and couldn’t resist teasing him even more. A mischievous smile played on her lips as she stepped closer again.
Instead of running away, she lightly pressed her soft body against his, rubbing slowly and deliberately.
She felt his hardness imdiately poke against her belly. His body had reacted way too strongly.
Su Qinglan almost burst out laughing but bit her lip to hold it in, her eyes sparkling with amusent.
Han Jue noticed her little trick right away. His face burned with embarrassnt.
Before she could step back and expose him completely, he quickly pulled her into his arms, holding her tightly against his chest. His movents were stiff and a little clumsy, his voice coming out low and choked.
"Lan Lan... you... how could you do this?"
He sounded both embarrassed and helpless, like a powerful man who had been utterly defeated by his own wife.
Inside, he was panicking.
’What is wrong with this body?! It was just a light rub, just a small provocation... and yet I reacted like this? How useless can I be?’
He almost wanted to cry from the sha. But deep down he knew the truth this only happened because it was her.
Su Qinglan. His woman. The one who had long taken root in his heart. If it were anyone else, he wouldn’t even blink. But with her, even the smallest touch was enough to shatter his control.
His ears burned fiercely as he silently cursed himself again.
"So useless..."
anwhile, Su Qinglan was enjoying every second of his struggle. She could clearly feel his stiffness pressing against her, hot and obvious.
The more she noticed it, the harder it beca to keep a straight face. Her eyes sparkled with amusent as she leaned in just a little more, deliberately testing him.
"Han Jue," she said softly, her voice full of teasing, "you’re reacting too much, aren’t you?"
Han Jue froze. His arms tightened around her instinctively, afraid she would pull away and see everything.
"Don’t move," he said quickly, his voice low and hurried, desperately trying to protect what little dignity he had left.
But that only made Su Qinglan laugh. She tilted her head and looked up at him with fake innocence, though her eyes were full of mischief. "Why? I didn’t do anything."
"You..."
Han Jue stopped mid-sentence, completely lost for words. How was he supposed to explain this? He couldn’t possibly say it out loud. If he did, she would tease him for the rest of their lives.
So he could only hold her tighter, pretending nothing was wrong, even as his ears turned red enough to drip blood.
Su Qinglan watched him struggle and finally couldn’t hold back anymore. A soft, clear laugh escaped her lips, ringing lightly through the flower field.
"You’re really too easy to bully," she said, amusent dancing in her voice.
Han Jue felt both wronged and helpless.
’Easy to bully? Only you can say that.’
Anyone else who dared to provoke him would have been dealt with long ago. But with her... he could only endure it all.
He let out a low sigh and rested his chin gently on top of her head, trying to calm his racing heart.
"Lan Lan," he muttered, his tone softer now but still carrying traces of embarrassnt, "you shouldn’t tease like this."
Su Qinglan blinked, then smiled even wider. "Then don’t react like this."
Han Jue: "..."
How could he not react? He really didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
Han Jue held her tightly, doing his best to conceal his obvious reaction, but Su Qinglan suddenly felt a faint pang of guilt.
She had teased him a little too much. If he kept suppressing it like this, he would probably be uncomfortable the entire day.
The thought that he might actually suffer because of her made her feel a tiny bit guilty... though only a little.
Then, an idea crossed her mind.
"Jue..." she murmured softly, her voice tinged with a hint of complaint, "it hurts."
Han Jue, already struggling to maintain control, imdiately grew anxious. He loosened his hold and looked at her with concern.
"Where?" he asked quickly.
Su Qinglan pointed at her waist, her expression innocent. "Here... sothing was pressing against so hard, it almost bruised ."
