Code Golden: Gundam War Chapter 98 - 97: Going to EU

For their trip to the EU, Marcus decided to take a smaller warship. Since he is taking a group, going there with one of his Mobile Suits is a bit silly.

There is not enough space. Besides, he wants to spend a bit of ti with Anna as well. His nerdy pinkette is a champion in his eyes.

A while ago, he thought he could do things alone with the help of his machines and AI. But having a fellow scientist was ga-changing.

So after leaving the colony, they returned to the station and took a lift to the docks, where he ordered his Tiranis to be transferred into a much smaller support warship. These ships are designed to be anti-Mobile Suit.

There is just enough space to store several mobile suits for support and protection. So Marcus simply took out one Setanta and placed his KK-Unit.

Once the mobile suit was safely stored away, the pair boarded the warship.

"Can you show the captain where you want to go, Anna?" Marcus asked the girl next to him once they were on the bridge.

"Umm…sure." She went over, checked the world hologram, and then used it to locate where she wanted to go.

"...Umm… my Prince… that's in the middle of EU… in fact…its close to Paris…" The captain looked at his leader and asked if this was right!

"I know, that is why I am taking my Tiranis." Marcus nodded, then looked at Anna, who looked a bit concerned. She already knew this could happen!

After all, her old colleagues are in fact still in the military of the EU!

"But sir…"

"It's fine, don't worry. My machine can take entire battalions, and besides, do you think they have any sort of weaponry that could pierce the hull of our ships?" The Inventor Prince asked with a raised eyebrow, making the Captain calm down considerably.

"My apologies, my Prince. I forgot that our ships are not as simple." After slightly bowing, the man floated over to his position and began to issue commands to his n.

Before long, the single warship left the Sirius Class carrier and other Centauri Support Class warships.

"Take your ti, Captain, we are in no rush." As Marcus said, he took Anna's hand and then moved towards the living quarters.

Even if this is a 'small' ship, there is more than enough space for them to have so privacy.

Anna blushed when she saw that he was taking the lead like that and taking her away. Only now did she realise that she had him for herself.

'W-We should go on a date or sothing!' She began to think about what to do.

"Umm… do you want to show you around Paris?" The girl asked him, her voice hopeful.

"That could be interesting. That is if we could hide our identities in the enemy's capital." Marcus chuckled as he realised that it would be quite a slap to the EU's face if they could pull sothing like that!

"I think it is possible." The girl pondered as she pulled out her tablet, which she had been carrying the whole ti.

"We could get contact lenses and a change of clothes. Besides, it's mostly you who needs to hide, not ." She smiled at him a bit as she was checking over all the shop location data she had on the tablet.

"Besides, people won't believe that easily that you are in Paris." The girl smiled even more. She clearly wants to show him the capital of the EU.

"I guess we can be a bit naughty and do just that." Marcus chuckled as they ended up in an empty room with bunk beds.

These were not in issue since he didn't see any personal belongings.

"So… umm… what is your plan?" Anna asked him as she realised that there was not that much to talk about since they had already talked about work. She had no interest in war, so the only thing left in her eyes was her ex-colleagues.

"Depends. I requested that we not drop on or next to Paris. Instead, we should enter the atmosphere above the Atlantic and then enter the EU territory through the air."

"...I see. Though if you use your Tiranis, it could draw a lot of attention, and it could lead to them realising that you are in the country." The pinkette realised the issue.

"Don't worry, my ch is sothing that they, even if they do see, they won't be easily able to report, considering how quickly I can dispose of them." He reassured the girl as he floated over and landed on the bed.

"Okay…" She slowly nodded, trusting that he could do it.

"So tell what we should do until we arrive, we have several hours worth of ti." He smiled at her. The colony was built a considerable distance away; on top of that, they are not flying at the fastest speed.

"Umm… I don't know…"

Marcus smiled as he motioned for her to get closer.

Anna nodded as she floated over and sat down next to him on the lower bed.

He then used the mont to pull her closer, making her lean into his chest.

"...UMM…" Such a situation made her start blushing as she realised that he was quite close!

"Relax, you do realise that you are quite gorgeous and I won't let you go anywhere~."

"...D-Don't you already have…Leila…and Kallen… and…"

"Heh… and sohow you are gunning for a position as well?" There was a sly grin on his lips as he knew what Anna was plotting. Yet, now she is complaining that he is Leila or Kallen, silly girl logic!

"...N-No…I an…I…" The girl realised that she had been found out quite easily.

"You can't hide from . I know that look girls have when they find soone fascinating. I saw that many tis in the Academy."

At that mont, he hugged her.

"I already decided that you are mine, Anna. I already kidnapped you, the army, so it should have been obvious." He explained in a plain tone.

Though he was partially right, as he kidnapped her because Leila was sad that Anna was not with her.

"Do you realise how crazy it sounds?" The girl laughed, her laugh was full of happiness. The girl was happy to hear what he just said.

"You assu I care how it sounds?" He hugged her tighter.

The warship entered the atmosphere above the Atlantic towards Europe. Before long, the military vessel was flying above the land at a considerable height.

Marcus waited inside his Tiranis, hoping the EU had so ans to fight him.

[Sir, incoming missiles from Paris]

'Of course, what else could it be?' The capital is most likely the only place that has any sort of ans to protect against air superiority.

The Inventor recalled the scare tactics employed by Julius Kingslay, a.k.a. Lelouch vi Britannia. Airships were a pain to the EU, which was playing catch-up gas all the ti.

Regardless, he didn't launch as the turrets destroyed all of the incoming projectiles. It was pathetic.

"...do you think they have any sort of different thods to attack?" Anna asked him, as she looked at a hologram before her.

Legion was hacking into the local grid to figure out if her intel was good.

"You are asking ? I am not from the EU military, you know?" Marcus replied with an amused look.

"I was only asking. Because I hope they have sothing to offer." The girl looked embarrassed for her holand.

She can only imagine the military personnel scrambling to do sothing while the Anaheim vessel was in their core provinces.

[Sir, Panzer Humls are incoming from the garrison of the capital city of Paris.]

"Hmm? Aren't we several kilotres in the sky? What can a Panzer Huml do?" The Prince checked out the data. What he found is that these chs have modified rifles for hands.

[From the looks of it, they carry heavy weaponry.]

"Is that so?"

With that said. He used the neural link to command the cockpit to close as he began to move. His KK-unit moved as the hangar opened, and he pointed his beam rifles down.

The targeting system began to track the movent on the ground.

"Reroute power to the rifles." At that mont, Marcus activated his geass as he watched how these Panzer Humls would move.

Then, all of a sudden, he pressed the trigger, and the blue beam with yellow lightning blasted into moving cheap knightmares imitations.

The beams engulfed the panzer humls and erased them, leaving nothing behind.

Once the coast was clear, he turned around the ch and walked back.

"How does it look, Anna?" He asked the girl via the loudspeaker.

"That should do it. There is a limit on how many of them should have such a loadout." The girl was checking the hologram console.

"Good, in that case, co here." Tiranis offered his hand.

The girl nodded happily as she walked over, and the ch picked her up. The cockpit opened, and the pinkette got in and ended up sitting on his lap.

This ti, there was no hesitation.

"Rembering the first ti you did this?" He teased her, reminding her of the first ti they t, and told her to sit on his lap.

"Don't remind , it was embarrassing! You kidnapped and made sit on your lap! I was both terrified and could not believe it!" She said all that in an excited tone.

At that mont, Marcus hugged her, making her blush even more.

"Yet you loved all of that." He joked, making her blush even more.

"Not at that mont." She tried to defend herself.

"Whatever you said, darling." He joked, before getting a bit serious.

He used his neural link to contact the bridge.

"Captain, for now, you can retreat to the Atlantic Ocean; we are going to 'infiltrate' Paris." The Prince said with a small smile.

At that mont, Anna realised there was a direct link to the bridge, and all the officers could see her on Marcus's lap, sitting there comfortably.

"Understood, my prince." However, the captain ignored what he was seeing and simply acknowledged the order.

With that said, the call ended, and the mobile suit folded into its plane mode before blasting out of the hangar.

The Prince made it fly low just above the forest level towards the Republic Capital of Paris.

In the Paris suburbs, Marcus looked at the shop window before him and checked out his blue contact lenses.

From the looks of it, they are still good. He no longer wears them. But he still had a spare case in his Tiranis storage area under his seat. This was from the good old tis when his faction was still operating in the shadows.

"How does it look?" He asked Anna as he placed a baseball cap on his head and then threw on a jeans-style jacket. He looked like a delinquent by all ans and purposes, wearing black pants with a chain at the waist.

"...Not bad. You are actually good at this! No one would recognise you!" Anna looked surprised by the change in style of clothes.

On top of all of this, he put on sharp sunglasses. Double eye protection…

His 'Imperial' eyes are what could make him easily stand out, as Charles' face is well known throughout the world.

"We are good to go, right?" He asked her.

The girl nodded at him as she fixed her hair and made sure her new clothes looked good. She visited several shops just to find sothing nice, as she is sure no one would recognise her. She was part of the Special Forces. Only the top brass knows about her working in Knightmare developnt before she was kidnapped.

"Then let's go, I will show you around the city!" She grabbed his hand as the girl began to lead him into the city's depths.

It has been ages for her as well, so she will be rembering the city as well.

"Okay-okay, no need to rush, we don't have a ti limit in this." Marcus chuckled from amusent at how eager she was for their 'date'.
