"Landon is troublesome!"
Wang Teng maintained a low profile and trailed behind Landon and the cosmos-stage snakeman, staying hidden. He was making his way toward the palace while plaining to himself.
The poison tide outside worried him greatly, and yet, this guy had chosen to escape during this crisis. That was troublesome.
Even he didn't dare to do this!
But now, there was no choice but to follow Landon. The guy had made his move, and Wang Teng had to keep up.
If things got dire, he could always attempt to blend in with the snakemen. He had heard about an underground refuge in the northwest area. It should be able to withstand the poison tide.
The snakemen were probably more accustomed to dealing with the poison tide than outsiders like him.
Wang Teng didn't know how Landon would deal with the poison tide.
Landon sped through the palace and snakemen martial warriors occasionally rushed out to stop him, but he eliminated them all.

The cosmos-stage snakeman was infuriated. He waved his curved blade and slashed wildly. He no longer cared about potentially damaging the palace. If that prisoner managed to break into the restricted areas of the palace, the queen wouldn't forgive him.
Landon's expression changed slightly. He maneuvered within the palace's buildings to evade the attacks, refusing to engage with the snakeman.
"Bastard!"
The snakeman martial warrior roared in anger.
"You coward, fight with me!"
"Hmph!" Landon snorted in disdain. He viewed a native snakeman as insignificant, deeming a battle with the martial warrior meaningless.
The snakeman was infuriated by Landon's response, shaking with anger, and he continued attacking recklessly.
"Did the snakeman go crazy from anger?" Wang Teng trailed behind, pondering this in amusement.
"Landon is also incredibly bold to charge in so brazenly," Round Ball said.
"He must have known that no one has the time to deal with him right now," Wang Teng replied. "I suspect that he knows that the poison tide is ing."
"This guy seems to have e well-prepared."
"It does seem that way," Round Ball didn't argue with Wang Teng this time, acknowledging that something was indeed amiss.
Landon navigated through a plex path within the palace, breaking through numerous snakemen's defenses. He showed no mercy toward the surrounding structures, directly destroying them and charging forward.
Watching this, the pursuing snakemen was trembling with fear, veins popping on his forehead.
"Huh, do you see what's in his hand?" Round Ball suddenly exclaimed.
"It seems like a bug," Wang Teng furrowed his brow and used his Real Eye ability, "A bug-like star beast with earth attributes, probably of emperor-level strength. I can't see anything special about it."
"Why do I feel that Landon seems to be purposefully searching for something inside the palace?" Round Ball asked.
"Are you saying it's related to that bug?" Wang Teng pondered.
"Maybe. I'll check what kind of bug it is. Damn, in this Poison Erosion World, even looking up information is so inconvenient," Round Ball plained.
Wang Teng didn't pay much attention to Round Ball's plaints because, at this moment, Landon's figure vanished after entering a large hall.
The pursuing snakeman martial warrior, in a state of shock, began to search in all directions, but to no avail. This left him anxious, and he began sweating profusely.
"Sir!" Many planetary-stage and celestial-stage snakemen martial warriors gathered around him.
"Find him! You must find him!" The cosmos-stage snakeman shouted.
"Yes!"
The surrounding snakemen quickly spread out, searching for Landon's whereabouts.
However, it appeared that Landon had vanished pletely, and no matter how hard they looked, they couldn't find a trace of him.
In the end, the cosmos-stage snakeman could only reluctantly leave a few martial warriors to guard the main hall. He, along with others, wore a grave expression as they hastily scoured elsewhere.
He deemed that Landon had already departed and was hiding somewhere else.
A prisoner hiding within the palace was no small matter.
He felt the weight of responsibility on his shoulders. If they didn't find the escaped prisoner, he, as the chief guard, would be in deep trouble.
Wang Teng didn't leave. He sensed that Landon was hiding in this palace. He didn't disappear.
However, Landon's method of concealment was extremely skillful, fooling all the snakemen and making them unable to find him.
At this moment, they were close to the central area of the snakemen palace. Clearly, Landon didn't want to be trailed any longer so he took this opportunity to shake off the pursuing snakemen.
Wang Teng glanced at the sky. The poison tide, dark and overwhelming, displayed no signs of dispersing. Countless poisonous creatures fell upon the protective formation, and the endless dark green mist continuously corroded the formation, causing it to tremble incessantly.
The sky had pletely darkened, giving the scene an apocalyptic feel as if it were the end of the world.
