Councilor Song Kuan handed a badge to Wang Teng with a smile and said, "Councilor Wang Teng, from now on, we are colleagues. Let's chat more when we have ti."
Wang Teng took the badge, examined it, and noticed the unique emblem of the Arbitration Association along with a star, symbolizing his new status as a councilor.
If there were no stars, it would an being an ordinary mber.
"Thank you, Councilor Song Kuan." Wang Teng greeted the young man before him with a fist and a smile.
"No need to be so polite," Song Kuan shook his head and explained, "Every new councilor is assigned a specific jurisdiction to oversee all young warriors in that area. Your jurisdiction is here."
He opened a star map and pointed to a particular location.
"Where is this?" Wang Teng asked, puzzled.
From the star map, it seed quite remote. It was unfamiliar to him compared to the star territories he knew.
"The Phantom Drift Territorial Domain!!!" Before Song Kuan could respond, Round Ball's grim voice suddenly echoed in Wang Teng's mind.
"The Phantom Drift Territorial Domain?" Wang Teng's eyes showed a hint of surprise. He sensed sothing amiss in Round Ball's voice and asked, "What's special about the Phantom Drift Territorial Domain?"
"Councilor Wang Teng," Song Kuan glanced around and spoke in a low voice, "This place is the Phantom Drift Territorial Domain. You should have heard of it. It is the most chaotic among all o136 human territorial domains."
"The most chaotic territorial domain." Wang Teng's mind stirred, looking at Song Kuan with a hint of understanding as if he had already figured out sothing.
"Wang Teng, he's right. The Phantom Drift Territorial Domain is known as the most chaotic territory. It's teeming with all sorts of characters, warriors refusing to be disciplined and unwilling to join the Stellar Academies. It's like a hot potato. Soone must have intentionally assigned you to supervise this area," said Round Ball.
"Interesting!" Wang Teng's eyes glead, and he suddenly burst into laughter.
"Wang Teng, this place is not an ordinary territory. Be careful," Song Kuan, seeing Wang Teng laugh, shook his head and reminded him.
"Thank you for the warning, Councilor Song Kuan." Wang Teng expressed his gratitude.
"Don't ntion it. We can't change the decision of the supervisory area. We're truly sorry," Song Kuan apologized.
"I know it's not your fault," Wang Teng said with a faint smile. He wouldn't vent his anger on him.
Seeing his understanding, Song Kuan also breathed a sigh of relief.
"Councilor Song Kuan, which part of the Phantom Drift Territorial Domain am I supervising? It can't be the entire region, right?" Wang Teng asked with a smile.
Councilor Song Kuan was montarily stunned, finding Wang Teng's thoughts a bit amusing. Even for seasoned councilors, it was rare to independently supervise an entire territory, let alone a newly appointed councilor without any foundation or support.
"You dare to dream, Wang Teng," Round Ball shook its head, feeling a bit speechless.
"Hahaha, I was just talking nonsense. Who knew you would take it seriously," Wang Teng laughed.
"The area you'll be supervising is called the Five Burial Stars in the Phantom Drift Territorial Domain," Song Kuan said with a touch of exasperation.
"Five Burial Stars!" Wang Teng nodded.
"You can look up information about the Five Burial Stars when you go back." Song Kuan sighed and looked at Wang Teng with sympathy.
"Alright, I understand," Wang Teng seed to read sothing from his expression but didn't inquire further, simply nodding.
"Well then, Councilor Wang Teng, please head to the Five Burial Stars in the Phantom Drift Territorial Domain within half a month. Rember not to delay, or the consequences… will be severe," Song Kuan reminded and then said, "I'll take my leave!"
As he spoke, his figure slowly disappeared in front of Wang Teng.
Councilor Hong Lie and Antoine had already left, seemingly uninterested in any association with Wang Teng.
Wang Teng walked out of the office.
Councilor Wu De was waiting outside. Seeing Wang Teng co out, he asked, "How is it? Did you confirm the supervisory area?"
"Yes!" Wang Teng nodded. "Phantom Drift Territorial Domain, Five Burial Stars!"
Councilor Wu De looked at Wang Teng with a strange expression, seemingly mixed with astonishnt, sympathy, and a hint of anger – a complex set of emotions. After remaining silent for a while, he sighed and said, "These people seem determined to push you onto a dead-end road."
"Is the Five Burial Stars that terrifying?" Wang Teng asked curiously.
"So far, five councilors who went to the Five Burial Stars have died!" Councilor Wu De stated.
"Five dead!?" Wang Teng's eyes widened, and he couldn't help but exclaim, "Damn!"
He finally understood why Councilor Song Kuan was reluctant to elaborate further. Clearly, the Five Burial Stars was no ordinary place and might be even more terrifying than he had imagined. In a chaotic region like the Phantom Drift, having five councilors die implied a place of extre danger.
The Five Burial Stars was scarier than he initially thought.
"In addition, many other councilors who went there returned empty-handed or, worse, were crippled," Councilor Wu De added, causing Wang Teng's heart to sink further.
"Why is it like this?" Wang Teng furrowed his brows and asked.
"The situation on the Five Burial Stars is quite complex. I can't explain it in a few words. I suggest you go back and investigate for yourself. Also, if possible, it's better to decline.
