At this mont, the inner disk on the compass was spinning rapidly, with the pointer constantly shaking. Then, the disk gradually stopped rotating and the pointer pointed towards the northeast corner.

"This disk looks a bit like those compasses in TV shows that can guide directions," Fla pondered aloud.

"It does look a bit like it." Flying Eagle held the compass, walked a few steps, and found that the pointer on the disk also moved along but eventually pointed back to its original direction.

"Could it be that this compass Lin Beichen gave you is ant to guide our way?" Fla speculated.

Flying Eagle nodded: "It should be." He rembered Lin Beichen once said that this brocade bag could help him find Mantid and avenge his father's death. So, this compass was likely pointing towards Mantid, except...

Following the pointer, Flying Eagle looked in the direction it indicated. The pointer on the compass pointed towards the northeast, a direction completely different from their previous suspicions. After pondering for a mont, he decided to follow the direction indicated by the compass. He now trusted Lin Beichen completely, instinctively wanting to believe him.

"Let's go, follow the compass, head northeast," Flying Eagle said firmly.

"Alright!" Fla responded without hesitation, his thoughts now in tandem with Flying Eagle's, trusting Lin Beichen fully.

The two then climbed out the window, quickly making their way towards the northeast direction indicated by the pointer. Taking advantage of the night and the cover of heavy rain, they darted between buildings, swiftly advancing towards their target direction.

Upon reaching the northeast corner, they were surprised to find a patch of trees over ten ters tall, lush with foliage.

"Why is there a small forest here?" Fla asked in confusion. Could Mantid be hiding in the forest?

Flying Eagle also frowned, puzzled as to why there was a forest here. At that mont, the compass in his hand started moving again, pointing to their left.

"To the left?" Flying Eagle frowned and exchanged a glance with Fla before both followed the pointer to the left. After walking about seven or eight ters, the pointer moved again, pointing straight ahead towards the forest.

"Flying Eagle, look, there seems to be a path up ahead," Fla pointed to the front. In the light between the trees ahead, the earth looked different from elsewhere, as if it was often trampled upon.

Even though this slight difference was subtle in the night, both, as special forces soldiers, had perception that was anything but ordinary.

Flying Eagle nodded, reasoning that if there was a path, there must be sothing in the forest. The two then proceeded along this narrow path into the depths of the forest. After walking about ten ters, they both stopped simultaneously, exchanged a look, and silently communicated one thing: there were people!

Being longti special forces soldiers, their hearing was extraordinary.

They heard four people from up ahead walking towards them, their footsteps stable and orderly as if patrolling.

Flying Eagle and Fla instantly darted to the sides, each hiding behind a stout tree trunk.

Sure enough, they saw four rcenaries walking towards them in a line, neither fast nor slow.

The squad of rcenaries drew closer to the two, and as they were about to pass by the trees they were hiding behind, they suddenly sensed sothing was amiss.

At that mont, Flying Eagle and Fla leaped out from behind the tree trunks, raising their guns and shooting swiftly at the four.

"Bang bang!" Gunshots echoed in the night sky, triggering a sudden battle.

A streak of lightning slashed through the sky, thunder following in its wake, mingling with the sound of gunfire. The four rcenaries fell in response, yet no one could detect the presence of the two. After disposing of these four, they quickly dragged the bodies into the bushes and then continued along the path deeper into the woods.

...

Upon reaching the end of the path, a simple cabin appeared in sight, and the compass's pointer was directly aid at it. It appeared this was their destination. Flying Eagle pocketed the compass, gripped his gun tightly, and strode towards the cabin, with Fla following closely.

Sticking close to the cabin wall, the two moved with light steps, slowly approaching the window, concentrating keenly on the movents inside. However, the inside was unusually quiet; not even the sound of breathing reached their ears.

What was going on? Was there really no one inside? Just as the two were pondering, a gunshot suddenly rang out, instantly shattering the window glass beside them.

Flying Eagle and Fla reacted swiftly, dodging to the sides, while rolling on the ground to avoid danger. Simultaneously, a shadow leapt out from a side door. Fla, dodging the exploding glass, rolled on the ground and had just gotten up when suddenly a gun was thrust to his head.

Flying Eagle, seeing this, imdiately turned and raised his gun towards the figure. Another flash of lightning illuminated the face before him, and Flying Eagle's pupils constricted as he recognized the individual.

"It's you!" Flying Eagle said through gritted teeth. He would never forget this person, not even if he died! It was none other than his target this ti, his father's killer—Mantid!

"What, you know ?" Mantid asked with a condescending tone, the gun in his hand still firmly pressed against Fla's head.

Flying Eagle gripped his gun intensely, veins bulging, his gaze fixed on Mantid with a murderous intent.

"You're my father's killer, do you think I should know you?" Flying Eagle spat out one word at a ti, his eyes filled with killing intent.

"Father's killer?" Mantid sneered after hearing this, "I've killed many people, how could I know which one is your father. But... today, I can send you to reunite with him!"

"You want death!" Flying Eagle snapped, gripping his gun fiercely, burning with eagerness to charge forward.

"Take one more step forward, and I'll shoot your comrade," Mantid said confidently, watching him with disdain, prodding Fla's head again with the gun barrel as he spoke.

"You..."

"Flying Eagle, on the battlefield, there must be no hesitation!" Fla spoke directly to Flying Eagle. Before coming here, he had already prepared for the worst, and now the only thing he could do was not interfere with Flying Eagle's judgnt. After all, the two were comrades who had been through life and death together. He believed Flying Eagle could make the right choice.

...

Looking at Fla, Flying Eagle's gaze showed a flash of determination. At that mont, a bolt of thunder streaked across the sky, montarily lighting up half the sky. Mantid instinctively squinted his eyes; they had been injured earlier in life and couldn't withstand bright light.

The two quickly seized this opportunity, Fla elbowing towards Mantid's abdon, while simultaneously Flying Eagle sprang forward, kicking at the hand holding the gun. Mantid failed to dodge, causing the gun in his hand to fall to the ground.

Realizing this, Mantid quickly turned around, directly attacking Flying Eagle's arm, knocking the gun from his hand.

At the sa ti, Fla escaped his restraint. Mantid montarily relaxed as he shut his eyes, and relying on years of cooperation, Flying Eagle and Fla seized the window to act.

Mantid looked at the two, furious yet laughing, and then pressed the button on a beeper at his waist. Instantly, a piercing alarm sounded all around them! Monts later, they heard a chaotic clamor of footsteps approaching from afar, indicating that a large group of people were heading towards them!

"Flying Eagle, I'll cover the rear, you pursue!" Fla directly said and then turned towards the incoming crowd, firing his gun frenziedly.

...

"Understood!" Flying Eagle didn't hesitate, charging straight at Mantid, who raised his hand to counter, and the two were instantly locked in combat.

Since both their guns had fallen to the ground, they had no opportunity to retrieve them and could only fight barehanded.

The two exchanged blows vigorously, each punch landing with force, their gazes filled with fierceness!

Initially, they seed equally matched, but gradually Flying Eagle began to fall behind.

Though Flying Eagle was exceptional even among special forces, Mantid was also a seasoned fighter among rcenaries, known for his viciousness and cunning.

Taking advantage of Flying Eagle's inattentiveness, Mantid suddenly launched a fierce punch, delivering a decisive blow to Flying Eagle's chest.
