Kagetane left afterimages in the air, this thrust seeming to pierce Saeko's body.
"Really, don't give your attacks nas no one understands."
A calm voice sounded. Crimson light flashed and faded.
Like a shooting star, it effortlessly pierced Kagetane's body.
Saeko's figure had sohow appeared behind Kagetane, in a sword-drawing pose.
"You... are completely unaffected by the repulsion field..."

With Kagetane's voice, a large amount of blood stained the ground.
His legs gave way weakly, and he knelt on the ground.
"Oh, right, this guy can't die yet."
Ayato stepped forward, raising one hand slightly. A healing magic circle appeared beneath Kagetane.
"Why... are you saving ?"
"Don't misunderstand."
Ayato shrugged. "I just rembered that you should have four other test subjects. You were planning to make them fight Kohina, weren't you?"
"You even know that."
Kagetane said in surprise. "Are you interested in them?"
"Of course."
"If I tell you, will you let live?"
"That depends."
"That's a lie. You're not planning to let live at all, are you?"
Kagetane laughed bitterly. "But fine. Their location is..."

Ayato smiled. "This is your last lifeline."

Kohina appeared before her, holding out an ice cream. "My treat."
