"What's your situation? Why did you co to our world?"
Ryuji randomly pointed at a sowhat bewildered boy and asked him a question.
The boy was a little taken aback, unsure why he was chosen, but he spoke up.
"We... we ca to investigate the abnormal gathering of goblins, but we found a strange portal. The Saint.. uh, the Sword Maiden said she received a divine revelation from the gods and obtained the Scale Sword. She said… she said the sword was given to her to resolve this incident and prevent the goblins from causing a major disaster."
He swallowed as he spoke and couldn't help but tremble as he glanced at the samurai's corpse from earlier.
They were all low-rank adventurers. The only reason they'd co together was simply because this was the only kind of commission they could take.
Ryuji nodded.
Essentially, the other side's god noticed the Goblin God's cheating and sent the Sword Maiden to resolve the issue. But one question remained.
"Then why are you all so weak?"

If he rembered correctly, armor in that world wasn't that expensive. The full plate armor Goblin Slayer wore wasn't sothing you could afford just by killing goblins, sure but it also wasn't so unattainable treasure. And looking at other adventurers, their gear had always seed flashy, one set more impressive than the last.
Then the nervous boy said sothing that left Ryuji with no way to argue back.
"No money... How could orphans like us have money? And full plate armor? Only important people can afford things like that, right?"
Ryuji: "..."
It was at that mont Ryuji realized sothing unsettling.
The Goblin Slayer world might be completely different from the one he thought he knew from watching the ani.
He rubbed his chin thoughtfully.
