Tifa?
Ryuji froze for a mont. Subconsciously, he wanted to see what this woman, who shared a na with a certain ga character, looked like. So, he swiftly concentrated all of his Observation Haki in that direction, focusing on everything surrounding the source of the voice.
In the next mont, his powerful Observation Haki allowed him to perceive everything he wanted from several kiloters away.
Points of light appeared in his mind, then these points of light rapidly stretched into lines, outlining a three-dinsional, black-and-white image of a café. Then, without Ryuji even understanding why, the monochro scene quickly gained sound and color. He could even hear the noise of a barista grinding coffee beans.
And naturally, he also perceived the person who had spoken.
It was a female police officer with her hair tied up in twin buns, breasts no less impressive than Mai Shiranui and a pair of long, powerful legs. Her face carried a distinct heroic spirit, clearly the type of strong woman who would leave a deep impression even without the police uniform.
The person she was speaking to was a long-haired girl wearing worn, shabby cook's clothes, her posture visibly restrained and nervous.
Although this girl's figure wasn't as explosively voluptuous as the bun-haired policewoman or Mai Shiranui, she was still quite well-endowed, with long legs that had their own unique charm. What truly caught Ryuji's attention, however, was her face. Despite its obvious youthfulness, her appearance was exactly the sa as the Tifa he knew.
And at that mont, Tifa, who was not wearing her iconic outfit, also spoke up.
"I'm sorry, Officer Chun-Li. I honestly don't know what happened either. I was just selling stead buns in front of my ho when I suddenly lost consciousness. When I woke up, my stead bun shop and I were falling together with a teor… and then there was the part where you kicked those monsters away one by one…"
The girl, who resembled Tifa, spoke cautiously. She looked at the policewoman who had rescued her from a swarm of monsters, carefully observing the insignia and lettering on Chun-Li's uniform before continuing.
"As for my ho…"
She hesitated for a mont, but still spoke.
"Have you ever heard of a place called Midgar?"
The officer called Chun-Li paused for a mont. She frowned and quickly typed on her laptop, but nothing ca up.
"Does a place like that really exist, Tifa?"
Chun-Li looked at the girl in front of her. She genuinely wanted to help her, but if this girl really was an alien, then no matter how much she wanted to assist Tifa, she would have no choice but to contact the appropriate authorities.
Seeing the confusion on Chun-Li's face, Tifa realized that the location she ntioned clearly hadn't appeared in the laptop's data.
But that was exactly the problem. In her experience and mories, there shouldn't be any place in the world that hadn't heard of Midgar.
She had been peacefully selling buns on the streets of Midgar when, all of a sudden, she and her shop were flying through the sky, and then she ended up in a completely unfamiliar place.
And the people here didn't know about Midgar…
A bad premonition slowly surfaced in Tifa's heart.
Looking at Officer Chun-Li, who bore no Shinra markings at all, and sensing the genuine concern coming from her, Tifa clenched her teeth and spoke, her voice trembling slightly.
"Then… have you heard of the Shinra Company? The Shinra Company that handles the energy supply for most of the cities."
Chun-Li raised an eyebrow. She knew about the Holy Roman Empire, but the Shinra Company? A Company that monopolized energy supplies for most cities?
"Is the place you're talking about really on Earth?"
She asked half-jokingly, half seriously.
"Earth? What is Earth?"
Tifa looked at Chun-Li with a completely bewildered expression, while Chun-Li stared back at Tifa in astonishnt. Her expression gradually grew serious.
"Earth is the planet beneath our feet, Miss Tifa… I'm very sorry, but to us, there's a very high probability that you're an alien."
If the nas of cities or companies Tifa ntioned didn't match up, that might be manageable. But if even the planet didn't match, then the likelihood of her being an alien was extrely high.
Of course, Chun-Li couldn't completely rule out the possibility of it being a prank or so kind of publicity stunt, but…
Chun-Li recalled those black monsters that gave even her a sense of danger. Her expression grew very serious.
An incident involving those kinds of monsters couldn't possibly be a prank. If anything, it should be called a conspiracy.
"Well then, I'm sorry, Miss Tifa. Although I really want to help you, your status as a possible alien is not sothing I can handle on my own. I may be an international police officer, but I don't have jurisdiction in this city. And for the safety of the citizens here, I must report this to the appropriate official organizations."
Chun-Li was being cautious. She had no intention of reporting this directly to the city's local authorities; instead, she planned to first make a call to Hong Kong. After all, matters involving aliens needed advance notice.
As for the local situation, she would wait for instructions from her superiors.
But she was also helpless. She had originally co out just to take a short vacation, and to see if she could find any clues about her father's death, but she had never expected to run into sothing like this.
"I… I understand."
Tifa pressed her lips together in fear. For her, dealing with official organizations had never been a pleasant experience.
But at this point, she had no other choice.
"I'm sorry, but this is for everyone's safety."
Seeing her like this, Chun-Li let out a sigh, took out her work phone, and began dialing.
But at that mont, a hand grabbed her wrist, stopping her from making the call. At the sa ti, a gentle voice spoke up.
"Sorry, but I think I know this Miss Tifa. There's no need to make such a big deal out of this."
Hearing this, Chun-Li raised her head toward the source of the gentle voice and saw a man wearing a cloak, with two great swords strapped to his back, a ferocious-looking gauntlet on his left hand, and dressed in what was clearly ancient-style clothing.
This man was Ryuji.
The mont he sensed Chun-Li and Tifa's existed in this world, he rushed over. Otherwise, if Tifa were taken away by official organizations, things would truly beco troubleso.
Because he strongly suspected this was once again the fault of that 7 Days to Die world will attached to him. The situation Tifa described looked exactly like how Elsa and Toph had once landed in Minecraft world.
Even just for the sake of keeping his own life peaceful, Ryuji needed to help Tifa cover things up.
After all, Ryuji himself didn't even have an identity in this world.
And even aside from that, it was obvious that Tifa needed his help. He also very much wanted to know why Chun-Li existed in the King of Fighters world.
However, after Chun-Li sized Ryuji up from head to toe, she fell silent for a mont. Then she brushed his hand aside and spoke bluntly.
"Well then, sir, could you please show your ID card… oh? Is this a driver's license?"
Chun-Li stared at Ryuji with deadpan eyes as she pulled out her police ID.
It wasn't that she had anything personal against him, it was just that, compared to Tifa, Ryuji had even more evidence of being an alien, okay?!
