"You…" Ryuji pointed at her, then gestured in the direction of Chobung's base.
The woman folded her arms and stood casually, eyes cold but steady. She answered what he had already suspected.
"I'm Sizki. You must be the newbie adventurer Chobung asked to bring in. Let be clear—she hired for 15 gold to guide you. But if it turns out you're just so scumbag, I won't hesitate to leave your ass behind."
…So it was her.
Ryuji sighed and covered his face with one hand. Then, still half-amused, he reached down and ruffled Rosh's hair.
"Don't judge her by her size. She's an adult. And I was just teasing."
He grinned, tousling Rosh's head again.
"I an, look at that short stature—can't say it does anything for ."
His words snapped Rosh out of her daze in an instant. She slapped his hand away and glared at him, eyes filled with rage.
"You bastard! You know I am short and still keep pushing my head down?! I'm gonna bite you to death!"
And she ant it. Before he could react, Rosh sank her teeth into his arm.
"AH—!"
He scread in pain. The bite hurt—like flesh being ripped away—and in reflex, he lifted his arm… and to his surprise, Rosh's entire body ca up with it.
She was so light!
"Are you part dog or sothing?!"
Ryuji shouted, reaching up and grabbing her by the hair, trying to pry her off.
"…Huh."
Sizki watched the scene unfold, shaking her head.
They didn't seem like they were in that kind of relationship. Honestly, they just looked ridiculous. Whatever was going on, she figured it was harmless enough.
But letting them go on like this wouldn't get anything done. So after watching the commotion for a bit, Sizki raised a hand.
"Alright, let's go. We've got a caravan to escort."
"Caravan?" Ryuji asked, still holding his arm.
"Yeah. Chobung didn't just ask to guide you—she wants you to actually understand how adventurers live. You think it's just charging into forests with a sword? That's a quick way to get yourself killed."
Ryuji and Rosh exchanged a glance… and chose to follow this no-nonsense big sister figure.
As they walked toward the main road, Sizki began to explain the reality of being an adventurer.
"Despite the na, most adventurers aren't off chasing glory or saving princesses. They're just broke. So want to get rich. Others have no ho to go back to. So you've got lots of poor adventurers—fighting over scraps, sotis even over a handful of gold."
She glanced around as they walked, then continued.

The pay's low, but the danger's not too high. Worst case, maybe you run into a minotaur. For most adventurers, these are the bread-and-butter gigs."
She went on, voice steady and factual.
"Also, since most trade caravans can't afford trained bodyguards, they hire adventurers. For rookies, escorting caravans is a great way to gain experience and earn so coin."
She pointed ahead to a caravan loaded with supplies.
"That's the one we'll be guarding."
Ryuji raised a brow.
"What about the adventurers who don't do goblin clearing or escort missions?"
Sizki flinched. Just slightly.
A shadow crossed her face, and she sighed.
"They're either dead… or—"
She pointed to the group of adventurers trailing behind the caravan.
They were all won.
And they were barely dressed.
