anwhile, at the manor, Luis had just returned ho.
He intended to check on Alicia before heading to the pocket space to continue his research. He needs to find a way to have absolute control over Karlos and his group. Maybe even rewrite parts of their mories. Though it’s just an idea for now because he doesn’t have a way to tamper with mories yet.
’Alicia shouldn’t be angry anymore. I want to cuddle with her tonight.’ With a jovial mood, he was about to find her.
But as he entered the living hall, he saw Jack waiting there.
"Jack, were you waiting for ?"
"Yes, Master Luis," Jack replied. "I’ve received a report from Dellard and Matt."
Luis’s expression imdiately beca serious upon hearing that. "Did Nora agree?"
Jack repeated the details of his conversation with Dellard and Matt.
Luis listened quietly.
Then he rubbed his chin thoughtfully.
"I see. As expected of her."
"She isn’t stupid."
Luis had actually prepared two different plans to bring Nora under his control.
The first involved cooperation through shared interests and mutual benefit. Make her submit overti and build her loyalty.
The second involved waiting to lend her a helping hand during her desperate situation, where she would have no choice but to rely on him.
Either way, the outco would be the sa.
Because he had already decided to change Nora’s miserable fate.
"What about the other things I asked you to prepare?" Luis asked.
"The equipnt and materials are already placed in the basent laboratory," Jack replied.
"In addition, two individuals branded with Curse Marks were captured in Selvas City and brought here."
Luis nodded.
"Send them to the basent."
Then he asked,
"Are they mbers of the Norwish Mafia?"
"No," Jack replied. "They belong to other criminal groups in Selvas City."
"I see."
Luis didn’t particularly care either way.
It’s just that, once the plan regarding Nora succeeded, the Norwish Mafia itself would fall under his control.
Even though most of them were criminals, Luis still felt sowhat uncomfortable experinting on people who might later beco his subordinates.
It simply felt unethical.
After fine-tuning so details regarding the action plan and sending Jack away. Luis headed upstairs and stopped outside Alicia’s room.
The door was slightly open, and the lights inside were off. He stepped in quietly, expecting to find her either reading or already asleep.
But the room was empty.
He looked around once, then called out in his mind.
{Lily, where’s Alicia?}
The familiar, soft voice responded imdiately.
{Master, Sister Alicia is in Mom’s room.}
Luis blinked.
His expression slowly stiffened.
"...Don’t tell they’re going to be sleeping together."
{Yes, master.} Lily answered in affirmation.
For a few seconds, Luis simply stood there in silence. Then a long, helpless sigh escaped his lips.
He rubbed his forehead and muttered inwardly, ’This is all Dad’s fault. If he had co back with , this wouldn’t have happened.’
Now that his dad, Ronald, will stay at the Raven Guild to investigate the mysterious information regarding "Unknown," along with his father-in-law.
Mom is bound to stick with Alicia like glue.
With his dad absent, Mom and Alicia would definitely spend their nights chatting together until they eventually fall asleep in the sa room.
Which ant Luis had been left alone again.
’Was it the right idea to co back for vacation?’ Luis was having second thoughts about his decision. Too bad, it was already late.
anwhile, far away from the manor, Ronald suddenly sneezed.
"Achoo!"
He blinked in confusion and rubbed his nose.
"Is soone cursing ?" he muttered suspiciously.
But before he could think further about it, David’s voice interrupted his thoughts.
"Hey, Ronald, do you think the elves might have so information regarding Unknown?"
The two n were currently seated at a large wooden table inside one of the Raven Guild’s research halls. Ancient scrolls and records were scattered around them, the result of hours of investigation.
Ronald leaned back slightly and shrugged.
"Who knows? But if we want to confirm it, we’d probably have to ask them through channels."
He paused before adding. "And if we do that... the information might as well beco public. Which will be nothing but chaos."
David raised an eyebrow. "Are you serious?"
"I’m dead sure." Ronald nodded and pointed toward the pile of docunts on the table. "If other noble families find out sothing about Unknown, instead of helping they’ll definitely start competing with us for its possession. In case it escapes, you can imagine how much trouble it would cause."
That possibility alone could turn the situation chaotic.
David crossed his arms thoughtfully.
"Doesn’t your family have a close relationship with the Elven Royal Family? Don’t you a secret thod for contact?"
Ronald sighed and shook his head.
"My father did have a personal bond with the elven king."
He tapped the table lightly.
"But I don’t."
David thought about it for a mont before speaking again. "Then why not let Luis contact them through the elven princess?"
Ronald hesitated. "...We probably shouldn’t." He frowned slightly as he explained his reasons. "Rember, Luis already has so plans involving them. He wants their backing. Who knows how the elves would react to the existence of ’Unknown’? I’m not quite sure about the personality of the Elven Hero King."
If they interfered recklessly, it might complicate things for him. This is what Ronald was worried about.
David, however, shook his head firmly. He had a different opinion. "Just tell him and let him decide."
His tone carried a surprising amount of confidence in Luis.
"That kid knows exactly what he’s doing."
He leaned forward slightly.
"If he thinks it’s worth it, he’ll certainly make full use of his connection with the elven princess."
Ronald stared at him for a mont. Then he chuckled quietly.
"Can’t argue with that."
While inwardly, he couldn’t help thinking that David seed to understand Luis’s nature unusually well.
After a mont, Ronald nodded.
"I’ll talk to him tomorrow."
